  • 3D structures of STAM1 UIM-ubiquitin complex were presented to predict and analyze the interaction between UIM and ubiquitin. To generate the protein-peptide complex structure, the RosettaDock method was used with and without NMR restraints. High resolution complex structure was acquired successfully and evaluated electrostatic interaction in the protein-peptide binding with several charged residues at the binding site. From docking results, the Rosettadock method could be useful to acquire essential information of protein-protein or protein-peptide interaction with minimal biological evidences.

  • The purpose of this study is basic research for demand forecasting of residence which will form in the new industrial complex. Our industrial complexes are important base of National economic development until 90's. But The industry complexes which confront facility which is old, Maintenance negligence and change of industrial system must change new shape from existing function of industrial complexes. The results of this study are that the present housing using condition are different at ages and Using intentions of staff facility are negative generally. These means that When starting the structure hightening, the utility system provision and public information of residence facilities in industral complex are necessary for workers. So, The key points of industry complex structure hightening are that the accurate recognition about demand and the development of financial support policy for young Income low-end workers do to make advance efficiently.

  • We deal with the classification problem of real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space. In order to classify real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space we characterize a real hypersurface M in $H_n(\mathbb{C})$ whose structure vector field is not principal. We also construct extrinsically homogeneous real hypersurfaces with four distinct curvatures and their structure vector fields are not principal.

  • Specific molecular recognition of cyclodextrin and aspirin was determined. A stable 1:1 inclusion complex was established in solution. The distinct structure of inclusion complex was elucidated by FT-IR, FAB-MS, UV, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Based on the 1H NMR data, a time-averaged conformation of $\alpha$-cyclodextrin exhibited significant catalytic activity toward the hydrolysis of aspirin in alkaline solution.

  • Two novel coordination compounds $[Cu_2(pypya)_3(H_2O)_2]{\cdot}Cl{\cdot}(H_2O)_5$ (1) and $\{[Cd(pypya)(ta)_{1/2}]{\cdot}H_2O\}_n$ (2) (Hpypya=2-(3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)acetic acid, $H_2ta$=terephthalic acid) were synthesized and characterized by single X-ray diffraction. Structure determination reveals that complex 1 and complex 2 crystallize in the triclinic system, with the P-1 space group. The asymmetric unit of 1 contains two Cu(II) ions, and their coordination modes are different. These units of complex 1 are linked together via hydrogen bonds and ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interactions, and the 3D structure of complex 1 was formed. Complex 2, a mononuclear Cd(II) coordination compound, has a 2D structure which was constructed via coordination bonds. TGA and fluorescence spectra analysis of complex 1 and complex 2 have also been studied. In addition, the geometry parameters of complex 1 have been optimized with the B3LYP method of density functional theory (DFT) to explain its coordination behavior. The electronic properties of the complex 1 and ligand Hpypya have been investigated based on the nature bond orbital (NBO) analysis at the B3LYP level of theory. The result verifies that the synergistic effect have occurred in the compound.

  • Fe(II)-poly(D-glutamic acid) (PGA) complex in aqueous solution has been investigated as functions of pH and concentration of Fe(II) by using absorption and circular dichroism spectroscopies. The helix-breaking interaction occurred at pH 4.3 while the helix-directing one occurred at pH 5.7 after forming complex between PGA and Fe(II). The relationship between conformation change of PGA by forming complex with Fe(II) and complex constants for the above system was studied. As a result, stability constants in random coil structure of PGA are larger than those in ${\alpha}$-helix structure. This result indicates that the random coil structure of PGA-Fe(II) complex shows more stable complex than ${\alpha}$-helix one.

  • Let M be a real hypersurface with almost contact metric structure $({\phi},{\xi},{\eta},g)$ in a non flat complex space form $M_n(c)$. In this paper, we prove that if the structure Jacobi operator $R_{\xi}$ is ${\xi}$-parallel and the Ricci tensor S commutes with the structure operator $\phi$, then a real hypersurface in $M_n(c)$ is a Hopf hypersurface. Further, we characterize such Hopf hypersurface in $M_n(c)$.

  • The N159 and N160 ionized regions in the Large Magellanic Cloud are an important extragalactic star-forming complex. The physical environments and the star formation stages are different in N159 and N160. We performed near-infrared polarimetry to those star forming regions with IRSF/SIRPOL 1.4-m telescope. Near-infrared polarization enabled us to trace the detailed structure of magnetic fields in star-forming regions. Through the polarimetric data of J, H, and Ks bands, we examined the magnetic field structures in the N159/N160 complex. In this presentation, we show complex distribution of the magnetic fields associated with dust and gas structures. We verify the local magnetic fields in each star-forming region, which appear to be related with local environments, such as interior and boundary of shell structure, star-forming HII regions, and boundaries between HII regions and dense dark clouds. We discuss the formation scenario of the N159/N160 complex suggested from the magnetic field structure.
