Two new carborane complexes containing closo- or nido-carborane diphosphine ligands with the formula: complex $[Hg(7,8-(PPh_2)_2-7,8-C_2B_9H_{10})_2]$$CH_2Cl_2$ (1) and $[Ag_2({\mu}-Cl)_2(1,2-(P^iPr_2)_2-1,2-C_2B_{10}H_{10})_2]$ (2) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray structure determination. The X-ray structure analyses revealed that the carborane diphosphine ligand was degraded from closo-1,2-$(PPh_2)_2-1,2-C_2B_{10}H_{10}$ to nido-[$7,8-(PPh_2)_2-7,8-C_2B_9H_{10}]^-$ in complex 1, while the closo nature of the starting ligand $1,2-(P^iPr_2)_2-1,2-C_2B_{10}H_{10}$ was retained in complex 2. In either of the two complexes, the carborane diphosphine ligand was coordinated bidentately to the Hg(II) or Ag(I) center through its two phosphorus atoms, therefore forming a five-member cheating ring between the carborane ligand and the metal center. The coordination geometry of the metal atom is distorted tetrahedron formed by $P_4$ unit in complex 1 and $P_2Cl_2$ unit in complex 2, respectively.

Background: A soil-borne pathogenic fungus, Ilyonectria radicicola (Cylindrocarpon destructans) causes root rot on ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) and is known to attack many other plants. The Nectria/Neonectria radicicola complex has been renamed as the I. radicicola complex after analysis of its multi-gene relatedness and morphological characteristics. The fungi in this complex have been reclassified into 16 species under the genus Ilyonectria based on characteristics analysis Methods and Results: To obtain useful data from the Korean ginseng root rot, I. radicicola was isolated from the rhizosphere soils of the chestnut tree. They were identified through a pathogenicity test and a survey of the morphological features. The existence of I. radicicola in soil samples was confirmed by PCR detections using nested PCR with species-specific primer sets. These were subsequenctly isolated on semi-selective media from PCR-positive soils. Genetic analysis of the I. radicicola complex containing these pathogens was done by comparing the DNA sequences of the histone h3 region. These isolates originating from the rhizosphere soils of chestnut constituted a clade with other closely related species or I. radicicola isolates originating from ginseng or other host plants, respectively. Additionally, the pathogenicity tests to analyze the characteristics of these I. radicicola isolates revealed that they caused weakly virulent root rot on ginseng. Conclusions: This is the first study reporting that I. radicicola isolates from chestnut rhizosphere soils can attack ginseng plant in Korea. Thus, these results are expected to provide informations in the selection of suitable fields for ginseng cultivation.

An out-of-step condition results from the loss of the synchronism of the generators. A disturbance in a power system causes the generator angle to oscillate. When there is a severe disturbance such as a heavy current fault loss of major generation or loss of a large block of load, the oscillation can be severe and even increase largely and finally the out-of-step condition may un. During the power swing and out-of-step conditions, the apparent impedance at a relay location changes, and the power flow also changes as the angle difference is varied. This paper presents a method to analyze the trajectory of complex power during a power swing and out-of-step condition. The trajectory of the complex power is analyzed when a power swings and a fault occurs. Moreover, the complex power is analyzed when the ratios between the voltages at both sides and the line impedances are changed. These methods are verified through simulation using the ATP/EMTP MODELS.
The complex of the composition LaL(N$O_3)_3\;(H_2O)_2$ is prepared by the reaction of La($NO_3)_3{\cdot}6H_2O$ with Nethylmorpholine in aqueous medium. The ligand is involved in the complex as a neutral species where the chelation occurs via the oxygen of the ligand moiety and the nitrate groups as bidentate ligand. The chemical structure of the studied complex is confirmed through IR, XRD, and thermal analysis data. The complexation equilibria of La(III) with N-ethylmopholine is studied in aqueous medium at ionic strength I = 0.1 mol${\cdot}dm^{-3}\;KNO_3$ and at 25, 35 and 45 ${^{\circ}C}$, respectively. The thermodynamic parameters $\Delta$G, $\Delta$H and $\Delta$S values were calculated to prove the association with the complex formation. It is clearly observed that the process is accompanied by absorption of heat, i.e. endothermic process, while the entropy does not change greatly attributed to the release of constant number of water molecules during chelate formation.
Fusarium incarnatum-equiseti species complex (FIESC) contain over 40 members. The primer pair Smibo1FM/Semi1RM on the RPB2 partial gene has been reported to be able to identify Fusarium semitectum. The F. fujikuroi species complex (FFSC) contains more than 50 members. The F. verticillioides as a member of this complex can be identified by using VER1/VER2 primer pair on the CaM partial gene. In this research, the Smibo1FM/Semi1RM can amplify F. sulawesiense, F. hainanense, F. bubalinum, and F. tanahbumbuense, members of FIESC at 424 bp. The VER1/VER2 can amplify F. verticillioides, F. andiyazi, and F. pseudocircinatum, members of FFSC at 578 bp. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism by using the combination of three restriction enzymes EcoRV, MspI, and HpyAV can differentiate each species of FIESC used. The two restriction enzymes HpaII and NspI can distinguish each species of FFSC used. The proper identification process is required for pathogen control in the field in order to reduce crop yield loss.
The crystal structure of an iodine sorption complex of vacumm-dehydrated Ag+ and Ca2+ exchanged zeolite A(a=12.174(3)Å) has been determined at 21℃ by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques in the cubic space group Pm3m. The crystal was prepared by flow method for three days using exchange solution in solution in which mole ratio of AgNO3 and Ca(NO3)2 was 1:150 with total concentration of 0.05 M. The complex was prepared by dehydration at 360℃ and 2×10-6 Torr for 2 days, followed by exposure to about 14.3 Torr of iodine vaporat 80℃ for 24 hours. Full-matrix least-squares refinement converged to the final error indices of R1=0.082, R2=0.068 using 122 reflections for which I > 3σ(I). Two Ag+ ions, 1.1 Ag+ ions, and 4.45 Ca2+ ions per unit cell are located on three different three-fold axes associated with 6-ring oxygens. Two Ag+ ions per unit cell are in the large cavity, 1.399(4)Å from the (111) plane of three oxygens. Another 1.1 Ag+ ions are found at opposite sites. Six iodine molecules are sorbed per unit cell. Each I2 molecule approaches a framework oxide ion axially (O-I=3.43(2)Å, I-I=2.92Å, I-I-O;166.1(3)°), by a charge transfer complex interaction. Two Ag+ ions make a close approach to the iodine molecules (Ag-I ; 2.73(2)Å).

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of supplemented enzyme complex on growth performance and nutrient digestibility in pigs weaned at 14 days of age. Eighty pigs ($4.02{\pm}0.11kg$ of average body weight) were allotted in a completely randomized block design. Treatments were as follows: 1) control (negative), 2) control (positive, $Kemzyme^{(R)}$), 3) 0.1%, 4) 0.2% and 5) 0.3% of newly developed enzyme complex. Each treatment has 4 replicates with 4 pigs per replicate. During phase I period (d 0 to 14), ADG and ADFI were numerically higher in pigs fed diets supplemented enzyme complex regardless of their inclusion levels compared to pigs fed control (negative) diet. Feed/gain (F/G) was also better in pigs fed enzyme complex diet than that of pigs fed control (negative) diet. In addition, with increasing the inclusion level of enzyme complex, ADG and ADFI were improved. However, there was no significant difference between treatment in all growth parameters. During phase II period (d 15 to 28), ADG, ADFI and F/G showed the same tendency as in phase I period. For overall period (d 0 to 28) ADG was highest in pigs fed diet included 0.2% enzyme complex in all treatments but not significantly different. During phase I period, the digestibilities of all nutrients did not showed any significant difference between treatments. However, pigs fed diet contained enzyme complex and positive control diet (Kemzyme) showed numerically higher nutrient digestibilities in all nutrients than pigs fed negative control diet. During phase II period, data were consistent with those observed in phase I period. Especially, the digestibility of phosphorus was significantly higher in pigs fed diets contained enzyme complex including phytase than pigs fed control (negative and positive) diets (p<0.05). For overall experimental period, fecal or ileal amino acid digestibility were not affected by dietary treatment. Enzyme complex newly developed and used in this study can be possibly recommended as a growth promoter when supplemented in diet for early weaned piglets.

Role of cl$^{[-10]}$ in photosynthetic oxygen-evolving complex was studied by light-induced Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. cl$^{[-10]}$ depletion resulted in the suppression of amide I and amide II IR modes upon S$_1$ to S$_2$ transition. Br$^{[-10]}$ , 1$^{[-10]}$ and N0$_3$$^{[-10]}$ substituted FTIR difference spectra were very similar to that in cl$^{[-10]}$ reconstitution. F$^{[-10]}$ and $CH_3$COO$^{[-10]}$ substituted spectra were largely distorted. We succeeded in detecting the structural change of N0$_3$$^{[-10]}$ in the cl$^{[-10]}$ site upon the S$_1$ to S$_2$ transition from $^{14}$ N0$_3$$^{[-10]}$ /$^{15}$ N0$_3$$^{[-10]}$ difference spectrum.
The superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator (SCIP) flap is a versatile flap that has been described for various applications, mostly for lower extremity coverage and head and neck reconstructions. However, there are few publications reporting its use for breast reconstruction, mainly because of its low volume availability. In this article, we present the case of a patient who successfully underwent a partial breast and immediate nipple-areola complex (NAC) reconstruction with an SCIP flap. She had been previously reconstructed with an implant after a nipple-sparing mastectomy, but the NAC turned out to be involved with cancer needing further resection. Our goal with this article, is to introduce a novel concept for addressing partial breast and NAC reconstruction and mostly, to illustrate the importance of an adaptable surgical plan based on every individual case emphasizing the versality of microsurgery for breast cancer reconstruction.
A CW complex B is said to be I-trivial if there does not exist a $\mathbb{Z}_2$-map from $S^{i-1}$ to S(${\alpha}$) for any vector bundle ${\alpha}$ over B a any integer i with i > dim ${\alpha}$. In this paper, we consider the question of determining whether $\Sigma^k\mathbb{R}P^n$ is I-trivial or not, and to this question we give complete answers when k $\neq$ 1, 3, 8 and partial answers when k = 1, 3, 8. A CW complex B is I-trivial if it is "W-trivial", that is, if for every vector bundle over B, all the Stiefel-Whitney classes vanish. We find, as a result, that $\Sigma^k\mathbb{R}P^n$ is a counterexample to the converse of th statement when k = 2, 4 or 8 and n $\geq$ 2k.
