Empirical Study on a Business Model for the Internet-Based Stock Trade (국내 인터넷 주식거래를 위한 비즈니스 모델에 관한 실증연구)

  • The objective of this paper is to propose additional features for the success of the Internet-based stock trading companies in Korea which attempt to improve competitiveness in the stock trading market. Literature about this issue has been rarely reported. To clarify our research intention, therefore, we surveyed 24 stock trading companies which support the Internet-based stock trading systems, and gathered data about appropriate Internet business model which is deemed promising and effective in the future. Analysis results revealed that besides cheap trading transaction cost, those additional features such as convenience, reliability, speed delay, superiority, and profitability are also important as well for the success of the Internet-based stock trading.

  • Internet portal sites have served customers for more than a decade in Korea. There have been several such sites have survived, succeeded and led the internet industry. What is the source of their competitiveness? We assumed that the network effect, which can vary dynamically, is an important factor; so we tried to build and analyze a system dynamics model on portal sites that represent their advertising business model. This model includes not only the network effect, but also customer's' expectations of the quality of portal sites, which also varies dynamically. As a result of our research, we can state that the network effect is important to stabilize and increase portal sites' quality, market share, income and cash flow. And we know that investment at a level above that which is merely required is necessary to preserve and stabilize their business.

  • 그린카의 기술 분야별로 기술성과 시장성을 비교해 보면, 클린디젤자동차 분야의 기술이 특허당 피인용수나 시장확보지수가 모두 높아 기타 기술에 비해 높은 경쟁력을 가지고 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 하이브리드자동차 분야의 특허는 특허당 피인용수는 높지만 시장확보지수가 상대적으로 낮고, 전기자동차는 시장확보지수는 평균 수준이나 특허당 피인용수는 상대적으로 낮은 수치를 나나내었다. 그린카 중에서 연료전지자동차의 특허당 피인용수나 시장확보지수가 가장 낮아 기술성 및 시장성이 가장 낮은 것으로 평가되었다.

  • The future will see all industries become technology-driven in the competitive global market place. Firms with deep technological roots and innovation strategies have some advantages. In this situation widely used scoring approach is not enough to evaluate technology's relative competitiveness and to assign relative ranking category. Therefore, a more useful and comprehensive approach, which is called technology composite index, is needed to complement and enhance the existing scoring approach. In this research, factor analysis is applied to determine the common factors and to estimate associated weights. And technology composite index is used to measure the technology's relative strength and also to assign its ranking category instead of technology scoring.

  • This research has been conducted in order to assess the effects on quality management factor of the construction sites. 30 companies abiding by the 'construction industry law' and 32 companies abiding by the 'housing construction promotion law' have been researched in areas of quality-management environment, quality-management understanding, quality-management education on construction field, quality-system and quality-improvement. This construction quality factors are to realized the anticipated results not only quality level's increasing, but also company's confidence, competitiveness. We were able to obtain participations of 62 questionnaire, and derived statistics by means of SPSS/PC version 10.0. In this study, we find the bottleneck factor for promotion and upgrade quality management factor of the construction sites and suggest a way out of difficulties.

  • National Education Information System (NEIS) is an ambitious reform project that can improve the competitiveness and performance of education field and to link administrational work of between schools and their senior administration offices via internet. NEIS is introduced to lighten the teachers' overburden, to standardize the work process and to bring better quality education to each classroom and make it possible for those involved in education to resolve any related educational problem on line. This paper aims to construct a hierarchy model consisting of key factors such as technological and administrative factors for the effective use of NEIS and to evaluate the relative importance among key factors using fuzzy AHP technique included fuzzy concepts. Eventually, the analysis results can be utilized to develop the future improvement strategy of NEIS and to satisfy the users.

  • It calls for positive consideration of RFID technologies applying to the operation of the optimum VMI system for decreasing safety inventory. Based on the above-said considerations, the present author judges that the introduction of RFID into the consumer goods distribution industry is one of the important issues to be settled in the future. Conclusively, this study proposes that, for the sake of the operation of VMI system, the aforesaid problems should be positively examined and efficient methods promptly developed, so as to reinforce the competitiveness of enterprises.

  • Many SMEs have adopted ASP models which have brought various benefits to SMEs such as decreasing the total cost, using new IT technology, enhancing the maintenance, and implementing the information systems rapidly. Ministry of Information and Communication had implemented the ASP diffusion project for the ASP venders and SMEs between 2001 and 2003. As results of this project, various industries adopted the ASP applications of which the performance was enhanced, and then the competitiveness of the ASP vendors in Korea was increased. The purpose of this study is to make a strategy of the penetration into China market for ASP services which have competitive advantages. This study uses various research methods such as questionnaire survey, visiting SMEs in china and making interviews. This study shows the current status of Chines ASP market, the several cases of using ASP services, and questionnaire analyses(service recognition, service requirement and factors and infrastructure, business environment and supporting organizations etc) of ASP demand. And finally this study proposes several strategic considerations in entering China market and suggests several support policies for supporting Korean ASPs.

  • Since CM policies established in 1996, contracts of CM services are continuously increasing over the past years. As constant improvement of positive awareness about public/private owners and CM capabilities of domestic construction companies, a number of efforts were being made to acquire competitiveness of domestic and overseas CM market. However, there has been lack of quantitative and comprehensive research to investigate CM firms. The purpose of this research is to statistically analyze total of 2,983 CM service contracts over the past 16 years published in KISCON (Knowledge Information System of Construction Industry) in order to examine CM owner type.

An Analysis on the Needs for the Mobile Internet Service (휴대인터넷 서비스에 대한 니즈[Needs]분석)

  • In this research, we have developed a model that can explain the potential customer's needs for the potable Internet service, a concept with 'QoS guaranteed lower-price high speed mobile Internet service. Based on the developed model, we have also derived some empirical implications for the business firms interest in the potable Internet market. The developed model is incorporating a survey result, answering of potential customer's attitude for the portable Internet service, from the subscribers to the Internet service, wireless LAN service, and mobile Internet service. As a result, we have found that a very innovative group, such as wireless LAN users and 20's age group using mobile Internet service, could be the most attractive market segment. Moreover, the aspects of the service coverage and the price competitiveness at the service launching stage could be the most critical success factors for the portable Internet service.
