Objective: This study was to investigate and develop a training program that integrated and strengthened clinical competence and capacity of hospital pharmacists which would be implemented at the pharmacy department of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital. Methods: We assessed the training programs of hospital pharmacists in the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan and compared those of major hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces in Korea. The survey assessed the satisfaction on the current educational programs for pharmacists at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and a newly designed education program was suggested. Results: The major differences of the programs among the Korean hospitals and Mokdong Hospital were the training period and contents of the entry-level pharmacist education program. The overall satisfaction of the training program was >3 points on 5-Likert scale in the survey. There was no significant difference of the satisfaction level based on the employment period of pharmacists. The pharmacists were in more than 7 training programs of clinical support work. We proposed the clinical support training for the new pharmacists to be separated from orientation and concentrated on actual work duty. In order to improve the competency, it was encouraged to participate the in-house seminar or certify the related fields provided by Korean Society of Health-system Pharmacists. Conclusion: The education program was assessed among different countries and hospitals of Korea. We suggested to update education program in the hospital to enhance pharmacists' competency.

Background: Communication training in nursing college students is an integral part of the development of their competency in dealing with patients. However, the traditional lecture style of training delivery may not be desirably effective. Purpose: This study investigated the effects of a communication training program utilizing a small group dynamic on the communication competency and human relationships in nursing college students. Methods: One hundred twenty six freshmen in a university in Seoul participated in this study. The instruments of communication competency (Primary Communication Inventory) and human relationships (Relationship Change Scale) were used at the beginning and conclusion of the training period. Eighty-three students from two nursing classes were assigned to the experimental groups and 43 students from other classes were assigned to the control groups. Each of the 11 small groups was composed of 7 or 8 students. The weekly program that ran during the 2007 fall semester from October 1st to December 11th consisted of effective communication strategies including therapeutic communication skills, Johari's window, empathy, active listening, and transactional analysis. Results: The experimental group of students reported significantly greater improvement in communication competencies, specific nonverbal competencies, and human relationships compared with the control group. Specifically, the experimental students demonstrated greater improvement in nonverbal communication competencies and satisfaction, communication, and awareness of human relationships. Conclusions: Small group based communication training can be an effective alternative method of communication education for college nursing students.

Competency and competency-based education are topics of great interest to educators and administrators at most stages of undergraduate and postgraduate medical training. A competency-based approach in medical setting has been valued as a more effective way to strengthen learners' performance compared to the traditional education program. This article aims to explore theoretical and practical possibilities and limitations of competency-based medical education. We approached the topic in 3 gradual steps: the comprehension of background of competency-based education, the conceptual understanding of competency in professional education, and the exploration of possibilities and limitations of competency-based medical education. The last step of analysis was performed in three dimensions: educational objectives, references to judge performance, and performance evaluation criteria. In conclusion, we suggest 4 factors which need to be considered to implement a competency-based medical education.

Since airline safety depends significantly on the role of pilot, the importance of airlines' training qualified pilots and investing in the training program grows. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the commercial airline pilot competencies during the transition course. To this purpose, one-year training evaluation results of 215 new airline pilots in the JET transition course of Company K in 2019 are studied with correlation coefficient analysis, factor analysis, ANOVA, and regression analysis. Undergraduate major and Uljin-trained pilots show higher final-stage scores in PROC, AUTO, and CRM. Due to Uljin-trained pilots' higher first-stage scores, their score increase during the course is limited. Uljin-trained pilots' MANUAL scores in the final stage are lower than those of undergraduate major and overseas-trained pilots. Influence of trained location is found greater than English competency, undergraduate GPA, and ground school scores on commercial airline pilot competency evaluation scores during the program. The results will be useful in establishing scenario-based training focusing on different background to apply competency-based training and assessment.

EBT has designed and implemented a training program that relies on evidence from events such as Flight Operation Quality Assurance (FOQA), accidents, and incidents specific to each airline. The goal is to enhance the overall skills of the flight crew. This involves assessing the capabilities of individual crew members and, based on the findings, providing additional training to address any shortcomings. To create a training program aligned with the objectives of EBT, this study focused on analyzing data from hard landing incidents in domestic airlines obtained through FOQA events. A practical EBT training program was then developed, specifically targeting adverse weather conditions. The program evaluates landing capabilities, and the results guide the supplementation of any deficiencies in the landing skills of each flight crew member, ultimately aiming to enhance their confidence.

The purpose of this study was to develop a pre-training program of engineering college students for maximizing the effectiveness of internship or field training. To pursue this goal, literature review was conducted for data collection about college and corporate pre-training program for internship or field training and pre-training program(draft) was proposed. A questionnaire survey was conducted with engineering professors, students and graduates to identify the needs for pre-training program(draft) for internship or field training. Based on the results, the contents of pre-training program for internship or field training were composed of basic liberal arts, basic competency, real information related with corporation or job, and information exchange network. And key consideration for operating the pre-training program for internship or field training were proposed with the management department, regulation for the obligatory participation, meaningful organizing content, feedback of needs.

본 연구의 목적은 A대학의 특성을 반영한 또래교수 양성 교육과정을 개발하고, 지속적인 또래교수 양성을 위한 체제를 마련하는데 있다. 본 연구는 2019년 1월부터 2022년 2월에 걸쳐 약 2년간 실시되었다. 교육과정 및 체제 개발, 운영 및 평가, 수정 및 보완의 절차로 진행되었으며, 심층면담, 설문조사, 문헌조사, 전문가 조사 등의 연구방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심층면담과 또래교수 역량의 교육요구도 순위를 종합하여 연구진은 또래교수 양성 교육과정과 인증제를 설계하였으며, 개발된 교육과정과 인증제에 대해 전문가 조사를 실시하여 전문성을 인정받았다. 둘째, 2020년 3월부터 2022년 2월 말까지 또래교수 양성교육 및 인증제를 운영하였으며, 학생들을 대상으로 한 만족도조사 결과, 20년도에는 평균 4.33점, 21년에는 평균 4.61점으로 나타나 양성교육에 대한 만족도는 높은 편으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생 또래교수 양성 교육과정과 체제에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

Resident training programs in South Korea lag far behind that of advanced countries. Given the problems the current system in South Korea has, it is time to consider a new resident training system, resident training for general competencies. Training for the general competencies was practiced in medical fields in advanced countries such as the USA, Canada, and the UK as early as 20 years ago. This system has rendered itself a key component of resident training. Although a few theoretical procedures on general competencies have been practiced in South Korea, the awareness of this concept is still very weak, and the application of the theory to actual training is a long way off from becoming effective. It is urgent for South Korea to adopt competency- and outcome-based training for general competencies. To this end, the knowledge of the concept of this type of training should be improved. Also, the system should be carefully designed to cover a doctor's whole career, and be applied immediately. The competency- and outcome-based training for general competencies is a system that assures high level qualifications. It reflects the needs of our society under the recognition that a professional organization should be committed and accountable in order to respond to social demands. As the benefits of the new training system reach the public and medical care consumers, training-related expenses should be borne by social costs.

이 연구의 목적은 현재까지 진행된 마을기록활동가 양성 교육 프로그램(이하 "교육 프로그램")의 현황을 파악하고, 이를 개선하기 위한 운영 방안으로 역량 기반의 교육 프로그램운영 모형을 제안하는 것이다. 교육 프로그램의 수가 꾸준히 증가함에 따라 프로그램을 활성화하고 운영을 체계화할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 프로그램의 목표를 달성하기 위한 내용과 마을기록활동가의 역량, 교육 프로그램과 기록활동의 지속성에 초점을 맞추고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 문헌을 통해 마을기록활동가의 의미와 역할을 알아보고, 2015년부터 2023년까지의 교육 프로그램 진행 현황을 파악하였으며, 문헌연구와 사례 연구의 시사점을 프로그램의 교육자 면담을 통해 검증하였다. 면담의 시사점은 목표별 프로그램 운영 방안, 마을기록활동가의 역량, 발전 방안으로 정리하여 운영모형에 반영하였다. 역량 기반 교육 프로그램 운영 모형은 모형의 구조, 설계 원칙, 목표별교육 과정 모듈, 교육 프로그램 운영 단계별 고려 사항으로 제안하였다.

지식, 기술, 정보가 경쟁력의 원천이 되는 산업 발전의 변화추세에 따라 세계 각국은 일-교육$\cdot$훈련-자격의 긴밀한 연계체제인 국가직업능력표준을 통해 국가 인적자원 개발 시스템을 개선해 나아가고 있다 우리나라에서도 노$\cdot$사$\cdot$정 합의에 의해 2002년부터 전 산업분야에 적용될 국가직업능력표준이 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이렇게 개발된 국가직업능력표준을 이용하여 우리나라 기능대학/전문대학의 컴퓨터 응용기계설계과에서 활용할 수 있는 교육과정과 교재개발방안을 개발하여 제시한다.
