  • The purpose of this study is to research how a teaching personality and ethics in teaching affect the competence of students majoring in early childhood education. Questionnaires were distributed to 211 early childhood education students residing in I-city. For this study, frequency analysis, averages, and standard deviation were calculated by using SPSS 22.0, with Cronbach's alpha for the reliability test. To determine the relevance of each variable, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were done, with results as follows. First, the teaching personalities perceived most by the students were morality and educational principles. Ethics for infants and ethics for households were most perceived in the ethics of teaching; for competency, understanding of the curriculum, understanding infant protection, and learning support were perceived the most. Second, there is a statistically significant correlation among a teacher's personality, ethics, and competence. Third, the sub-factors of both personality and ethics have a positive effect on competence. The above results indicate that there should be multilateral research into students majoring in early childhood education to ensure they have correct and positive competency so they can provide high-quality early childhood education services, recognizing the importance of competence.

Therefore, many universities establish the own extracurricular courses by using much financial, human, and physical infrastructure. However, it is doubtful whether the extracurriculum is effective on cultivating competencies, what kinds of programs is useful to nurture right abilities, how to assess the outcome of implementing of the extracurriculum. For these reason, the accreditation system, that awards to student who accomplish certain programs based on the given standard, has been used as the tool to manage outcome achieved by the extracurriculum. This study aimed to investigate the outcome of the accreditation system of K university in order to verify its effectiveness for cultivating competencies through the extracurriculum. • Defining a competent doctor is important for educating and training doctors. However, competency frameworks have rarely been validated during the process of their development in Korea. The purpose of this study was to validate the patient-centered doctor's competency framework, which had been developed by our expert working group (EWG). Two rounds of Delphi questionnaire surveys were conducted among a panel of experts on medicine and medical education. The panel members were provided with six core competencies, 17 sub-competencies, and 53 enabling competencies, and were asked to rate the importance of these competencies on a 5-point Likert scale. Between April and July 2021, a total of 28 experts completed both rounds. The data of the Delphi study were analyzed for the mean, standard deviation, median, inter-rater agreement (IRA), and content validity ratio (CVR). A CVR >0.36 and IRA ≥0.75 were deemed to indicate validity and agreement. This study found that five enabling competencies were not valid, and agreement was not reached for three sub-competencies and two enabling competencies. In consideration of CVR and the individual opinions of panel members at each session, the final competencies were extracted through consensus meetings of the EWG. The competencies were modified into six core competencies, 16 sub-competencies, and 47 enabling competencies. This study is meaningful in that it proposes patient-centered doctor's competencies enabling the development of residents' milestone competencies, an assessment system, and educational programs.

  • A series of recent events have laid the groundwork for discussions on the safety issues regarding production staff in the popular culture industry. In Korea, the standard contract has been pursued as a means of dealing with issues involving popular culture production staff. However, the existing standard contract failed to incorporate the characteristics and requirements in today's market, which greatly restricted its efficacy in real-world cases. Therefore, this study seeks to significantly improve the provisions in the standard contract that govern obligations between contractual parties, and the work safety of the production staff. To this end, considering the main causes of safety accidents and actual contracts, this study groups contractual provisions into several categories: the removal of adverse factors affecting optimal competency, factors causing individual staff's negligence, and external factors causing negligence. Then, this study proposes specific provisions to be included in each category.

  • There has been a lot of growth more than 10% in the information security industry. In accordance with the industrial growth, it increased needs for the information security manpower development as a national problem. But there is an imbalance between demand and supply of the information security manpower in terms of the quantity and quality. It is mainly caused by the curriculum of the information security is made considering for suppliers not for demanders. As a resolution to solve this problem, we suggest the curriculum of information security for vocational education and training. As the information security area is wide in view of required knowledge and technology, we design the curriculum by selecting major occupation type from the information security manpower distribution and products and then by investigating the job description using NCS(National Competency Standard). And we compared the curriculum to that of two or three year diploma courses in Korea.
