Fast-Transient Repetitive Control Strategy for a Three-phase LCL Filter-based Shunt Active Power Filter

  • A fast-transient repetitive control strategy for a three-phase shunt active power filter is presented in this study to improve dynamic performance without sacrificing steady-state accuracy. The proposed approach requires one-sixth of the fundamental period required by conventional repetitive control methods as the repetitive control time delay in the synchronous reference frames. Therefore, the proposed method allows the system to achieve a fast dynamic response, and the program occupies minimal storage space. A proportional-integral regulator is also added to the current control loop to eliminate arbitrary-order harmonics and ensure system stability under severe harmonic distortion conditions. The design process of the corrector in the fast-transient repetitive controller is also presented in detail. The LCL filter resonance problem is avoided by the appropriately designed corrector, which increases the margin of system stability and maintains the original compensation current tracking accuracy. Finally, experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed strategy.

  • 비선형 마찰인 유압 작동기의 스틱-슬립 마찰은 정확성과 응답성에 문제가 된다. 그러므로 마찰보상은 다양한 제어알고리즘을 통하여 연구되어 왔다. 적응이산시간 슬라이딩 추종제어기는 유압작동기 내의 비선형 마찰 특성을 보상하기 위하여 적용하였다. 다오판틴 방정식을 기초로 하여 새로운 이산시간 슬라이딩 함수는 마찰과 모델링 오차를 포함하여 제어법칙을 정의하였다. 비선형 파라미터의 추종성을 기초로 슬라이딩 함수와 프로젝션 항수를 이용하여 강인성을 높였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험결과는 좋은 추종성능을 얻었다.

Modeling, Identification and Control of a Redundant Planar 2-DOF Parallel Manipulator

  • In this paper, the dynamic controller design problem of a redundant planar 2-dof parallel manipulator is studied. Using the Euler-Lagrange equation, we formulate the dynamic model of the parallel manipulator in the joint space and propose an augmented PD controller with forward dynamic compensation for the parallel manipulator. By formulating the controller in the joint space, we eliminate the complex computation of the Jacobian matrix of joint angles with end-effector coordinate. So with less computation, our controller is easier to implement, and a shorter sampling period can be achieved, which makes the controller more suitable for high-speed motion control. Furthermore, with the combination of static friction model and viscous friction model, the active joint friction of the parallel manipulator is studied and compensated in the controller. Based on the dynamic parameters of the parallel manipulator evaluated by direct measurement and identification, motion control experiments are implemented. With the experiments, the validity of the dynamic model is proved and the performance of the controller is evaluated. Experiment results show that, with forward dynamic compensation, the augmented PD controller can improve the tracking performance of the parallel manipulator over the simple PD controller.

디지털 제어기의 부분적 초기값 보상을 통한 천이 응답 특성 향상 (Improvement of the Transient Response by Partially Compensating Initial Values of Digital Controllers)

  • In switching from the track-seeking or track-jumping control mode to track-following control mode in hard disk drives or optical disk drives, initial values of the feedback controller are tuned to improve the transient response. In general, all the initial values of the controller have been compensated for this purpose. In this paper, by partially compensating initial values of digital controllers, we achieve a good performance of the transient response. In the proposed method for IVC (Intial Value Compensation), LMIs (Linear Matrix Inequalities) are used, which includes conditions for improving the performance of the transient response such as reducing a tracking error and control efforts. We obtain optimal initial values of the controller by solving an optimization problem with constraints represented by only one LMI. Although initial values of the controller are partially compensated, we can show that not only a sufficient performance of the transient response is obtained but also control efforts are diminished. The feasibility of the method is verified by simulation studies.

유도전동기의 회전자 시정수 변동에 대한 슬립 보상 (Slip Compensation for Rotor Time Constant Variation of Induction Motor Drives)

  • 본 논문은 유도전동기 간접 벡터 제어시 회전자 시정수 변동에 대한 슬립보상 방법을 제안하였다. 회전자 시정수가 변동하면 고정자 전류의 자속 및 토크 성분의 상호 간섭이 발생하여 벡터제어가 불가능하고 성능이 저하하게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 실제 자속 성분과 기준 자속 성분을 비교하여 위상차 없이 자속 성분을 기준 좌표의 q축에 일치시키고 PI 제어기를 이용하여 슬립을 보상하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제안된 방법을 이용하면 유도전동기의 회전자 저항 변동시 q축 자속 성분이 0이 되어 적정 슬립이 유지되고 정확한 벡터제어가 실현된다. 제안된 알고리즘의 타당성을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

OFDM 전송방식 기반의 Direct-Conversion 수신기에서 I/Q 불균형 보상을 위한 새로운 방법 제안 (A Novel Compensation Scheme for I/Q Mismatch in an OFDM Direct-Conversion Architecture)

  • 본 논문에서는 OFDM을 기반으로 하는 직접변환(Direct-conversion) 수신기에서 발생하는 I/Q 불균형(mismatch)문제를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 새로운 보상기법을 제시한다. OFDM심볼에 0의 값을 갖는 null 부반송파를 삽입하여 전송한 후에, 수신단에서 FFT후의 null 부반송파로부터 I/Q 불균형 관한 파라미터 값을 추정하고, 이를 이용하여 데이터 심볼에서 I/Q 불균형 효과를 제거하는 방법으로, 효율적이며 낮은 복잡성(complexity)이 제안 방식의 수요 특징이다. 모의실험 결과로부터 소수의 null 부반송파로도 충분한 I/Q 불균형 효과를 제거하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 제안된 방식은 주파수 선택적 페이딩 채널에서도 I/Q 불균형이 잘 제거됨을 보였다.

AWS 지점별 기상데이타를 이용한 진화적 회귀분석 기반의 단기 풍속 예보 보정 기법 (Evolutionary Nonlinear Regression Based Compensation Technique for Short-range Prediction of Wind Speed using Automatic Weather Station)

  • This paper introduces an evolutionary nonlinear regression based compensation technique for the short-range prediction of wind speed using AWS(Automatic Weather Station) data. Development of an efficient MOS(Model Output Statistics) is necessary to correct systematic errors of the model, but a linear regression based MOS is hard to manage an irregular nature of weather prediction. In order to solve the problem, a nonlinear and symbolic regression method using GP(Genetic Programming) is suggested for a development of MOS wind forecast guidance. Also FCM(Fuzzy C-Means) clustering is adopted to mitigate bias of wind speed data. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of the estimation by a GP based nonlinear MOS for 3 days prediction of wind speed in South Korean regions. This method is then compared to the UM model and has shown superior results. Data for 2007-2009, 2011 is used for training, and 2012 is used for testing.

직류링크 전류를 이용한 인터리브드 양방향 컨버터의 상전류 불균형 보상 방법 (Compensation of Unbalanced Phase Currents in Interleaved Bi-directional Converter with DC Link Current Sensed)

  • This paper presents a compensation method of unbalanced phase currents in interleaved bi-directional converters. Phase currents in interleaved bi-directional converter are apt to be unbalanced due to circuit parameter error and switch operation difference. This problem causes the switch element failure and the reduced efficiency of the converter. Therefore, it is necessary that a certain balance control algorithm is provided in interleaved bi-directional converter system. In this paper, a balance control algorithm based on the circular chain control method is proposed. Further, in order to reduce the number of phase current sensors, this paper shows a simple method in which phase currents can be extracted indirectly through a DC-link current sensor in both charging and discharging modes. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed phase currents balance control algorithm are illustrated through the simulation results.

시간 지연을 갖는 이산 시간 비선형 시스템에 대한 H∞ 퍼지 강인 제어기 설계 (Robust H∞ Fuzzy Control for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems with Time-Delay)

  • 본 논문에서는 시간 지연을 갖는 이산 시간 비선형 시스템을 $H\infty$ 의미에서 안정하게 하는 정적 출력 제한 퍼지 제어기 설계를 제시한다. 먼저 대상이 되는 비선형 시스템은 Takagi-Sugeno 퍼지 모델로 표현 되어진다. 그리고 parallel distributed compensation technique을 이용하여 퍼지 제어기의 형태를 만든다. 하나의 Lyapunov 함수를 정하여서 폐루프 시스템의 전역 점근적 안정성과 외란에 대한 강인성을 bilinear matrix inequality 형태로 제시한다. 그리고 합동변환법과 동질성 변환법을 통해 이것을 선형 행렬 부등식 (linear matrix inequality) 으로 표현한다. 제안된 방법의 효율성과 가능성을 보여주기 위해 한 예제를 포함한다.

Compensation for the Distorted $16{\times}40$ Gbps NRZ Channels in 1,000 km NZ-DSF WDM System Using MSSI with Optimal Parameters

  • In this paper the optimum position of optical phase conjugator (OPC) and the optimal dispersion coefficients of filler sections in WDM system with the conventional mid-span spectral inversion (MSSI) are numerically induced and then applied into $16{\times}40$ Gbps WDM systems with 1,000km non zero - dispersion shifted fiber(NZ-DSF) in order to efficiently compensate for the distorted overall channels. It is confirmed that the compensation extents of overall WDM channels are more improved by applying the induced optimal parameters into WDM system than those in WDM system with the conventional MSSI. So it is expected to alternate with the forming method of the symmetrical distributions of power and local dispersion by applying these optimal parameters into the real WDM system, which generate a serious problem of applying the OPC into multi-channels WDM system if it is not formed. It is also confirmed that two optimal parameters depend on each other, but less related with the finding procedure. And, it will be possible to realize the flexible system design by applying the methods proposed in this paper into the real WDM system with OPC.
