The Effect of Information System Quality on Customer Value and Satisfaction in Hotel Comparison Sites

  • In this study, variables were constructed based on prior research to examine the impact of information system quality (information quality, system quality, service quality), customer value and satisfaction in hotel comparison site. The samples consist of 205 survey data drawn from hotel comparison site users. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 21.0. According to results of the reliability and validity test, all were found reliable, and all items were included. The results are as follows: first, Among the information system quality (information quality, system quality, and service quality) of the hotel comparison site, the information quality and service quality have positive effects on customer value. Second, the information system quality(information quality, system quality, and service quality) of the hotel comparison site has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Third, the customer value of the hotel comparison site has a positive effect on customer satisfaction.

  • Social media is an essential part of everyday life in modern society and plays an important role in communicating the ideal body image. With the increased prevalence and high popularity of social media, the problems associated with the addictive use of social media have become a social issue. Utilizing social comparison theory, this study examined (1) the effect of appearance related photo activities on body satisfaction through appearance comparison and (2) the moderating effect of Instagram addiction in relationships among appearance related photo activity, appearance comparison, and body satisfaction. We tested the proposed relationships between research variables using multi-group structural equation modeling analysis on a sample of 346 young female Instagram users. The sample was divided into two groups of high and low addicted Instagram users. The results of this study showed that the appearance related photo activity positively influenced appearance comparison for both high and low addiction groups. For the high addiction group, the effect of appearance comparison on body satisfaction was not statistically significant; however, this relationship was significant and negative for the low addiction group. A significant moderating effect of Instagram addiction was found in the relationship between appearance related photo activity and appearance comparison.

청소년의 신체비교와 신체만족도가 대인관계적응에 미치는 영향과 자존감의 매개효과 (Body Comparison and Body Satisfaction Influence on Adaptation of Interpersonal Relationships and the Mediating Effects of Self-Esteem among Adolescents)

  • This study provides a basis for the development of lesson plans and teaching programs associated with the appearance in the adaptation of interpersonal relationships. This study was analyzed adolescents' body comparison and body satisfaction related in the adaptation of interpersonal relationships, and the effectiveness of self-esteem mediation. The survey was conducted among 587 adolescents in Gwangju. The data was analyzed using SPSS ver. 19.0 for Windows: frequency, means, factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results indicated that body comparison and body satisfaction effected the adaptation of interpersonal relationships among adolescents consequently, it is necessary to develop lesson plans and teaching programs related to awareness, and improve appearance. A body comparison with similar aged people did not affect self-esteem; however, it is necessary to improve body satisfaction because it affects self-esteem. Self-esteem was also the mediating role between the adaptation of body satisfaction and interpersonal relationships, sub-factors, adaptation of relationships with friends, adaptation of relationship with teachers, adaptation of relationships with parents. It is important that body satisfaction and self-esteem is key factor in planning training programs, and improving the capacity of adolescents adaptation of interpersonal relationships.

SNS에서의 개인의 사회비교 경험 유형 및 사회비교 지향성과 삶의 만족도와의 관계에 관한 고찰 (Explicating the Relationship among SNS Users' Types of Social Comparison Experience, Social Comparison Orientation and Life Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 SNS에서의 다양한 형태의 사회 비교 경험들이 SNS 이용자들의 삶의 만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, SNS에서의 사회 비교 경험 유형으로서 상향 대조, 상향 동일시, 하향 대조, 하향 동일시 등 4가지를 도출하여 이들 경험 유형들이 SNS 이용자의 삶의 만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 살펴보았다. 또한 영향 과정에서 인구 통계학적 요인들, SNS 이용 시간, 오프라인 사회자본 및 사회비교 지향성 등을 통제 변인으로서 고려하였으며, 사회 비교 경험들과 삶의 만족도 관계에서 사회비교 지향성의 조절 효과 역시 살펴보았다. 자료 수집을 위해선 온라인 설문을 이용하였고, 수집된 자료는 위계적 회귀 분석을 통해 분석되었다. 분석의 결과 연령과 혼인 여부가 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 가족 및 관심사가 맞는 클럽/단체 활동 참여 정도가 삶의 만족도와 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 분석 결과에 따르면 4가지 사회 비교 경험 유형 중 상향 대조와 상향 동일시만이 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사회 비교 지향성은 상향 동일시 경험과 삶의 만족도 관계에서만 조절 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로, SNS에서의 사회 비교 경험들을 이해함에 있어 기존 연구와는 다른 새로운 시각들이 필요함에 대해서도 또한 논의되었다.

가격비교사이트 평가기준의 중요도와 만족도 분석 (Perceived Importance and Satisfaction of Evaluation Criteria of the Price Comparison Website)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the criteria of evaluating a price-comparison website, and to investigate the consumers' perceived importance and satisfaction of each criterion. Also, it compared both the importance and satisfaction levels based on consumers' socio-economic and Internet-usage characteristics. Data for this study came from a questionnaire completed by consumers (n=417), who had used the price-comparison website, and were analyzed through factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the evaluation criteria of the price-comparison website were categorized into five variety of information, accuracy, convenience, credibility, and the website system. Second, convenience of searching information was seen by consumers as both the most important and most satisfactory criterion. Variety of information was also considered important. For most of the evaluation criteria, the level of consumers' satisfaction was significantly lower than the level of consumers' recognized importance. Third, consumers in their 20s, students, and housewives were less likely to be satisfied by the price-comparison website overall. Older people were less likely to be satisfied with the convenience of the website, and the higher-income group was less likely to be satisfied with the variety of information on hand.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among self-esteem, physical appearance comparison, media concern, sociocultural attitude toward appearance, body attitudes, and life satisfaction. Data were collected from a convenience sample of 232 female undergraduate students. Data were analyzed using factor analysis, correlation, and multiple regression. The result showed that there was a correlation between physical appearance comparison and media concern. Self-esteem, physical appearance comparison, and media concern had an indirect influence on body attitudes through sociocultural attitude toward appearance. Self-esteem and physical appearance comparison had a direct effect on body attitude. All variables did not have an influence on life satisfaction, except self-esteem.

A Logical Framework of Comparison Shopping Effectiveness and Comparison Challenge Methodology

  • This research describes the comparison broker's role and its effectiveness measurement using a developed logical framework of comparison shopping service. And verifies that seller-led comparison challenge method provide comparison information of products to buyers more efficiently. In electronic commerce, buyer's satisfaction of purchase (S) can be defined as an interactive function between seller's competitiveness vector (P) of products that supplied to the market, and buyer's informed level vector (B) of products that is known from a lot of sources. Then the buyer's informed level can be changed through the information analysis among products by transformation process using comparison matrix (C). So the role of comparison shopping is to construct a comparison matrix and to serve it to the buyers, and to change the buyer's informed level. The changed informed level influences a buyer's satisfaction, that improved satisfaction of purchase is defined as the effectiveness of comparison shopping. As a perfect provision and usage of comparison matrix is impossible cause of cognitive limit, the most efficient method for improving the comparison effectiveness is the comparison challenge that detects the comparison elements of the largest buyer's information efficiency, and then to be compared between elementary products selectively. This research verifies the substantial superiority of comparison challenge through television market data experiments.

페이스북 유저의 상향 비교와 사회적 지지가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 (What Makes People use Facebook? Focusing on Effect of Upward Comparison and Social Support on Life Satisfaction Mediated by Self-esteem)

  • This study investigates an association among Facebook users' upward comparison (e.g., envy), social support (e.g., favorable comments and like), and life satisfaction, putting their self-esteem as a mediating variable. For this analysis, 1,332 female and male Facebook users in Seoul and other four cities in South Korea were surveyed. Structural equation modeling including confirmative factor analysis were employed as quantitative analysis methods. Results show that Facebook users' upward comparison with other users and social support significantly impact their satisfaction mediated by their self-esteem. Specifically, when users feel envious of other users, this emotion lowers their self-esteem, and subsequently, the self-esteem reduces their satisfaction. On the other hand, sufficient social support for users positively affects their self-esteem, which leads to the increase of their satisfaction. The present study is differentiated from previous studies in that it focuses on Facebook users' emotional changes in the process of sharing massive amounts of posts and finds a stepwise relationship among their feelings, including self-esteem as a mediating variable. Additionally, this study is the first to verify a situation when Facebook users' envy of other users' posts affects the decline in their satisfaction through the mediation of their self-esteem.

중고령자의 노후준비가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 : 성별 비교를 중심으로 (A Study on Effects of Preparation for Aging on Satisfaction of Life : Focusing on Comparison of Gender)

  • 본 연구는 중고령자의 노후준비가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향이 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지를 살펴보는 목적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위한 연구 자료는 국민노후보장패널 3차년도 부가조사, 4차년도 자료를 이용한 연구로서 3차년도 기준 50세 이상 64세 미만으로 남녀 중고령자 2,970명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 성별에 따른 노후준비의 차이에서는 남녀 모두 통계적으로 유의미하게 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 삶의 만족도 차이에서 남녀 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노후준비가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 성별 차이를 비교한 결과 남녀 모두 유의미하게 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 위의 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여 중고령자의 노후준비에 따른 삶의 만족도 영향에 대한 성별 비교를 통하여 성별에 따른 노후준비와 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위한 방안과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

기관특성과 개인환경에 따른 전문도서관 직원의 직무만족도 연구 (A Study on Job Satisfaction Level of Employees in Special Libraries by Institutional Characteristics and Personal Backgrounds)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 전문도서관 직원의 전반적인 직무만족 수준을 진단하고, 소속기관과 개인환경에 따라 나타나는 직무만족의 차이를 분석하는데 있다. 분석 결과, 민간기관이 '보수', '승진', '전반적인 만족도' 요인에서 공공기관보다 직무만족도가 높게 나타났고, 도서관이 독립적 부서로 존재하는 기관이 그렇지 않은 기관에 비해 '직무자체', '보수', '동료관계' 요인에서 만족도가 높았다. 고용형태별로는 정규직이 '보수'와 '승진'의 직무만족도가 높게 나타난 반면 비정규직은 '상사 및 감독' 요인의 만족도가 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 직급별로는 관리자급이 '보수'와 '복무제도', '승진' 요인과 '전반적 만족도'에서 비관리자급보다 만족도가 높았다. 마지막으로 전공별로는 문헌정보학 전공자가 '직무자체', '복무제도', '승진', '시설환경'에서 비전공자에 비해 직무만족도가 다소 높았다. 이 연구를 통해 전문도서관 직원의 욕구와 감정을 명확하게 이해하고 직무만족의 장애요인을 제거함으로써, 도서관 업무효율성을 제고하기 위한 참고자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.
