A Comparative Study of Phishing Websites Classification Based on Classifier Ensembles

  • Phishing website has become a crucial concern in cyber security applications. It is performed by fraudulently deceiving users with the aim of obtaining their sensitive information such as bank account information, credit card, username, and password. The threat has led to huge losses to online retailers, e-business platform, financial institutions, and to name but a few. One way to build anti-phishing detection mechanism is to construct classification algorithm based on machine learning techniques. The objective of this paper is to compare different classifier ensemble approaches, i.e. random forest, rotation forest, gradient boosted machine, and extreme gradient boosting against single classifiers, i.e. decision tree, classification and regression tree, and credal decision tree in the case of website phishing. Area under ROC curve (AUC) is employed as a performance metric, whilst statistical tests are used as baseline indicator of significance evaluation among classifiers. The paper contributes the existing literature on making a benchmark of classifier ensembles for web phishing detection.

중학교 가정 교과 중 식습관 단원에 실천적 문제 해결과정을 적용한 수업연구 (A Study of Teaching based on Practical Problems Solving of the area of Food Habits in Middle School Home Economics)

  • The purpose of this study is (1) to develop the teaching plan based on Practical Problems solving on the area of food habits in home economics class and (2) to investigate the participation of teaching, the attitude of teaching method and food life. The subject of this study was two classes consisted off 66 students(male 26. female 40, 33 for each class) who are the first grade of middle school. The comparison group was taught by lecturing. while the experiment group by cooperative learning. The period of this experiment was three weeks: from June 7th to Jun 23th. 1999. The experiment was conducted through 5 classes. First of all students identify the problem of food habits and seek and evaluate information. Students evaluate actions and reflect on decision and evaluate action. The statistical method for the study was a paired T-test. The results of this study are as follows: 1. After experiment, the participation of teaching(p<.05) and the attitude of teaching method(p<.01) in the experiment group showed a statistically significant difference. Therefore the students in the class based on the practical problems solving took an active part in teaching 2. The practical problems solving is more effective than the lecturing in doing guide the positive attitude of teaching. 3. Through the experiment the attitude of food life in the experiment group showed a statistically significant difference(p<.05) Therefore the practical problems solving is more effective than the lecturing in changing positive attitude of food life.

측정과제에서 학습부진아와 학습우수아의 안구운동 비교 (The Comparison of Eye Movement in Measuring Tasks between the Underachievers and the Overachievers)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference between eye movements according to science achievement of elementary school students on measuring tasks. Science achievement was graded by the results of Korea national achievement test conducted in 2012. As an assessment tool to check measuring task, two measuring measure problems from TSPS(Test of Science Process Skill; developed in 1994) which were suitable for eye tracking system were adopted. The subjects of this study were 3 underachievers and 3 overachievers from 6th grade who agreed to participate in the research. SMI was used to collect EMD (eye movement data). Experiment 3.2 and BeGaze 3.2 programs were used to plan experiment and analyze EMD. As a result, eye movements of participants in measuring task did not show the path to the common gaze by groups. To solve the problem of using specific measuring strategies related to the correct answer. Underachiever who failed in measuring tasks don't have enough measurement capabilities and lack eye movement through the area of interest for cognitive thinking. These results show that elementary school science curriculum dealing with measuring have to reflect a lot of step-by-step learning requires.

인포그래픽을 중심으로 살펴본 초등 과학교과서 시각화 자료의 유형과 역할 (Types and Roles of Visualization Materials in Elementary Science Textbook focusing on Infographics)

  • The visualization materials in science textbooks are very important in students' learning. Recent visualizations are increasingly emphasizing the importance of infographic visualizations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the visualization materials in $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ elementary science textbook focusing on infographics. Visualization materials were classified into infographic and simple illustration. Infographics were classified into 8 sub-types. Findings are as follows. First, infographics were 19.0%, and simple illustrations were 81.0% among elementary textbooks' visualization materials. The portion of infographic varied by content areas. In Biology and Earth Science area, the portions of infographic were high. Second, several types of infographics were used in elementary science textbooks. Timeline infographic were the most frequent, and emphasis infographic, concept mapping infographic, comparison infographic were used frequently. The most frequent types of infographic were different by content area. Third, infographics used more than simple illustrations in the role of concept explanation. Educational implications on science textbook's infographics were discussed.

  • The historical separation between organization studies and architecture area created a design environment in which wort processes are evaluated separately from setting where they occur. The impact of separation has been parallel yet disconnected development in th two disciplines in which the advance in one arena have not precipitated advances in the other. This is the unfortunate loss as each discipline has the potential to contribute directly to the other. With the emergence of new economy the opportunity to realign the tow disciplines is once again presented as new ways of working have enhanced this opportunity. It is important to revisit the historical development of the tow disciplines and to discuss how the misalignment of their respective concerns contributed to the establishment of our current situation. What happened to create an environment in which organizations assume that one of their largest capital expenditures the cost of providing work spaces for employees is unrelated to their work process\ulcorner what recent developments offer opportunities to rectify this dilemma\ulcorner In this study it is presented a historical review of organization studies and architecture. Through examination of these areas across time it becomes quite apparent that it is now appropriate to pose new questions about organization and their architecture. The comparison of two parallel developments explains how the current design environment is separated from organization studies and offers compelling evidence for why it is important to revisit this separation in light of contemporary theories on collaborative work, organizational learning and communities of practice.

한국과 독일의 중학교 수학 교과서 분석을 통한 함수 내용 비교 (Comparative Analysis of the Contents of Functions in the Middle School Mathematics Textbooks in Korea and Germany)

  • 2011 교육과정 개정 시안연구에서는 중학교 수준의 함수는 현실 세계의 상황을 이해하는 도구로서 초점을 맞추고, 중학교에서의 함수를 토대로 고등학교 함수에서 여러 영역을 통합하는 아이디어로서의 대응의 관점에서 정의된 형식화된 함수 개념으로 확장하는 것을 제안하고 있다. 교육과정을 개정할 때에 국제적 표준 교육과정과도 발맞추기 위하여 다른 나라의 상황을 고려하지 않을 수 없다. 본고에서는 독일에서의 함수 도입과 교수학습 측면에서의 특징을 살펴보기 위하여 독일의 여러 학교 형태 중 우리나라의 교육제도와 비슷한 학교 형태인 게잠트슐레(Gesamtschule, 종합학교)의 교과서를 선택하여 우리나라의 교과서와 비교 분석하였다. 함수영역을 중심으로 우리나라의 교과서의 구조적인 부분인 체제와 내용을 비교 분석한 결과, 독일 교과서에서는 함수 개념 도입과 내용 전개 방식, 그래프의 지도 방식 등에서 2007년 개정 교육과정과는 차이점을 보였다. 이는 우리나라의 개정 교육 과정 및 교과서의 개발에 참고가 될 만한 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

학교와 영재교육원에서의 초등과학교육 비교 (Comparison of Elementary Science Education between Schools and A Education Institute for the Gifted)

  • The present study compared the contents and methods of elementary science education in schools and education institutes for the gifted and surveyed the contents and methods of science education for the gifted desired by students in order to set the direction of elementary science education at education institutes for the gifted. For this study, we conducted interviews with a 5th-grade male student and a 6th-grade female student at the science class of the Education Institutes for the Gifted run by Iksan Education Office. Besides, printed materials were collected and used to refer to the contents of education. The results of this study are as follows. First, in school, the student learn according to the curriculum defined by the government and the contents begin with elementary and basic ones and move step by step to deeper and wider scientific principles. On the contrary, in the education institute for the gifted, the contents of teaching materials are decided at the teacher's discretion, and because they target gifted children, their level is higher than that of the science curriculum in school. Second, the most common teaching method in school is lecturing and, next, experiments, group activities, etc. On the contrary, in the education institute for the gifted, experiments are used most frequently, and various educational methods are adopted including lectures, project learning and cyber learning. Third, the contents of science education that gifted children wanted to learn are not limited to any specific area. Science education methods that gifted children wanted were various, including project learning, group activities, experiments, and report making and presentation.

한국과 프랑스의 현장 실습 중심의 공학 교육 운영에 관한 사례 분석 (A Case Study on Improvement of Field Training Coursework for Engineering Education - Comparison Korea with France)

  • 현장 실습의 목적을 달성하기 위한 가장 큰 주체는 공학교육과 관련된 학과임에도 불구하고, 공학교육의 주체들은 실제 시행 시 제반 문제점들을 이유로 현장실습의 필요성과 교육적 기대효과(성취동기 유발)의 중요성을 받아들이지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 한국과 프랑스의 현장실습의 수행제도를 비교 연구하고 그 문제점을 파악하여 한국 실정에 맞는 순환형 현장실습 제도를 위한 기본 틀을 제시 하고자 한다. 또한 실무능력에 맞는 단계적 기본 모형을 몇 가지 기본 단계로 제시하여 산업 현장에서 재교육 기간을 단축하여 현장으로 투입 될 수 있는 적응력을 갖춘 우수한 인력을 제공 받을 수 있는 현실적이며 미래지향적인 우수 인력을 양성할 수 있는 현장실습 체계를 마련 하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 13가지 개선을 위한 실천 체크리스트를 제시하고 순황형 시스템에 맞는 기본 실습 모형을 제시하였다.

기계학습을 활용한 데이터 기반 경찰신고건수 예측 (The Data-based Prediction of Police Calls Using Machine Learning)

  • 본 연구는 기계학습의 하나인 신경망 분석과 음이항 회귀분석을 활용하여 경찰신고건수를 예측하고자 2016년 6월부터 2017년 5월까지 충남지방경찰청에 접수된 112신고 데이터를 이용하여 예측모델을 개발하였다. 모델을 개발하기 위해 경찰신고건수에 영향을 줄 수 있는 시간, 휴일, 휴일 전날, 계절, 기온, 강수량, 풍속, 관할면적, 인구, 외국인 수, 단독주택비율, 기타주택비율 변수 등을 활용하였다. 변수의 종류에 따라 몇몇은 경찰신고건수와 양의 상관관계 또는 음의 상관관계가 확인되었다. 사용된 두 개의 방법론을 비교한바, 신경망분석의 예측 결과는 예측 값과 실제 값의 상관계수 0.7702, RMSE 2.557이고, 음이항 회귀분석은 상관계수 0.7158, RMSE 2.831으로 나타났다. 신경망분석은 해석가능성은 낮지만, 음이항 회귀분석에 비해 예측력이 뛰어나다는 것이 확인되었다. 향후 경찰관서에서 본 연구의 예측모델을 기초로 하여 최적의 경찰력 배치를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Application of Statistical and Machine Learning Techniques for Habitat Potential Mapping of Siberian Roe Deer in South Korea

  • The study has been carried out with an objective to prepare Siberian roe deer habitat potential maps in South Korea based on three geographic information system-based models including frequency ratio (FR) as a bivariate statistical approach as well as convolutional neural network (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) as machine learning algorithms. According to field observations, 741 locations were reported as roe deer's habitat preferences. The dataset were divided with a proportion of 70:30 for constructing models and validation purposes. Through FR model, a total of 10 influential factors were opted for the modelling process, namely altitude, valley depth, slope height, topographic position index (TPI), topographic wetness index (TWI), normalized difference water index, drainage density, road density, radar intensity, and morphological feature. The results of variable importance analysis determined that TPI, TWI, altitude and valley depth have higher impact on predicting. Furthermore, the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was applied to assess the prediction accuracies of three models. The results showed that all the models almost have similar performances, but LSTM model had relatively higher prediction ability in comparison to FR and CNN models with the accuracy of 76% and 73% during the training and validation process. The obtained map of LSTM model was categorized into five classes of potentiality including very low, low, moderate, high and very high with proportions of 19.70%, 19.81%, 19.31%, 19.86%, and 21.31%, respectively. The resultant potential maps may be valuable to monitor and preserve the Siberian roe deer habitats.
