자영농 노인촌락 입주자의 생활공간 욕구 (Living Space Needs of Rural Elderly Residents in a Farming Retirement Community)

  • This study aims to analyze needs for living space of residents in a farming retirement community In this study a survey was performed about desire for living space and aesthetic aspects of housing environment. Results of the study are as follows; 1. Most residents desire permanently formed dwelling unit rather than assembled temporary structure so that they comfortable in noise-prevented space. 2 The retirement community residents do not desperately prefer individually separated room because open space provides better observsation function for emergencies. 3. They hope their dwelling units are grouped like regular neighborhood and the units have traditional designs such conventional kitchen and sink and wooden floor. Finally in this study it is proposed that Korean rural retirement community be established with maximum use conventional dwelling resources so that the residents benefit old fashioned living tradition even in the recently moved retirement society.

일개 종합병원을 방문한 어선원에서 발생한 소음성 난청의 특징 (Characteristics of Noise Induced Hearing Loss of Fishermen Visiting a General Hospital)

  • 2022년 11월부터 2023년 2월까지 동국대학교 경주병원 이비인후과 외래를 내원한 환자 중에서 소음성 난청을 가진 어선원의 의무기록을 후향적으로 검토하여 소음성 난청을 가진 총 10명의 19개 귀의 청각학적 특성을 분석하였다. 모두 60세 이상의 남자였고 소음에 노출된 기간은 평균적으로 38.9 ± 10.8년으로 장기간 소음에 노출되었으나 난청기간은 평균적으로 13.4 ± 4.3년으로 소음노출에 비해서 늦게 난청을 인지하였다. 고음역 평균역치가 저음역 평균역치보다 높지만, 8 kHz에서 하강하는 청력도를 보였고 고음역 평균 청력역치가 75 dB 초과인 경우는 10.5%이나 저음역 평균 청력역치가 40 dB 초과인 경우가 57.9%를 차지하였다. 순음청력검사상 평균 청력역치는 52.2 ± 7.1 dB, 어음청취역치는 34.0 ± 11.1 dB, 어음명료도검사는 81.5 ± 11.4%, 청성뇌간반응검사의 청력역치는 56.8 ± 6.7 dB, 청성지속반응검사의 청력역치는 63.7 ± 7.6 dB였다. 향후 다기관 연구에서는 어선의 소음의 크기 및 근로시간 등 근로환경에 대한 조사를 같이 시행하여 소음노출을 확인 후 어선원 소음성 난청 청각학적 특성을 분석해야 할 것이다.

  • Ultrasonic motors have an advantage over conventional electro-magnetic motors because of its excellent characteristics, such as high torque, low speed output, compact size, excellent controllability and, above of all, quite operation. The principle of operation of ultrasonic motors is to generate gross mechanical motion through the amplification and repetition of micro-deformations of active materials. A brief description of working principle and methods of analysis of dynamic behaviors of ultrasonic motors are given for the extended research and development activities anticipated in the mechanical engineering community.

  • Curved intakes are commonly used from commercial aircraft to military missile. Sound radiation from the intake of air vehicle affects cabin noise, community noise and military detection. In this paper, Sound radiation from curved intake is computed using the high order, high resolution scheme. The generalized characteristic boundary conditions, adaptive nonlinear artificial dissipation model and conformal mapping for high order, high resolution scheme are used. The geometric change of curved intake and the frequency of acoustic source are considered. Two dimensional Euler equations are solved for theses analyses.

자동차 환경에서의 노이즈 DB 및 한국어 음성 DB 구축 (Creation and Assessment of Korean Speech and Noise DB in Car Environments)

  • Researches into robust recognition in noise environments, especially in car environments, are being carried out actively in speech community. In this paper we will report on three types of corpora that SiTEC (Speech Information TEchnology & industry promotion Center) has created for research into speech recognition in car noise environments. The first is the recordings of 900 Korean native speakers, distributed according to gender, age, and region, who uttered application words in car environments. The second is the collections of mixed noise in 3 car types by model while setting up various noise patterns which can be obtained with the car engine on or off, at different driving speed, and in different road conditions with windows open or closed. The third is the recordings of simulated speech by HATS (Head and Torso Simulator) in car environments with the internal and external noise factors added. These three types of recordings were all made through synchronized 8 channel microphones that are fixed in a car. The creation and applications of these corpora will be reported on in detail.

냉각과 소음을 고려한 엔진 차폐 구조의 간편한 설계 방법 (Simple Design Method of the Engine Enclosure Considering Cooling and Noise Reduction)

  • Noise regulation of heavy construction machinery is getting stricter: 3 dB per every 4 year in European community. To meet this requirement many engineers have adopted the enclosing structures with thick absorbing materials and small opening, This increases internal temperature of the enclosure which have engine systems such as electric equipment that are vulnerable to heat, and engine block and muffler that can be regarded as heat sources. So noise control engineers have to consider a coupling problem: combining heat balance and noise reduction. This paper describes this approach by introducing simple heat transfer theory and SEA. The enclosing system of the loader whose enclosing structure consists of two rooms is investigated to show the validity of this method. The results represent that the simple heat transfer theory can be useful to estimate cooling performance when it is linked together by the back pressure theory in duct system. and the radiated noise can also be estimated by the SEA. Therefore a designer can use these approaches to define the opening ratio of an enclosure and the mass flow rate of air considering radiating noise.

대구경 화포용 소음기 개발을 위한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study for developing of silencer to be adapted large gun)

  • To reduce the transmission of large gun-generated noise from the firing test range to the community, we have tested a silencer to be used with howitzer(155mm KM114A2) after simulation. Numerical analysis was conducted by using a commercial CFD code, FLUENT. To analyze complex blast flow fields, the Spalart-Allmaras model was applied under 2 dimensional and axisymmetric conditions. Firing tests were also performed with the KM114A2 howitzer while the silencer was installed. This paper describes a result of comparison between results of computer analysis and test outcomes which were gotten by firing 155mm projectiles at the testing range. This paper will also be informative to the muffler design which will be adapted to 155mm large gun in the future.

공항 인근주민들의 항공기소음에 대한 피해의식 구조에 관한 연구 - 대구공항을 사례지역으로 - (A Study on Subjective Nise Evaluation of Rdesidential Area on Aircraft Noise near Airport - Case Study on Taegu Airport -)

  • Evaluation model for damage consciousness was established through the survey of 2,210 residents' consciousness on aircraft noise near Taegu Airport. There were none who replied that the level of the aircraft noise was as los as it was quiet. 77(3.5%) people replied the noise was normal, and 2,133(95.5%) people said it was noisy. As to the period of time when the aircraft noise occurred, 51%, 97%, 86%, 0.6% of the residents pointed out the morning time, the day time, the evening time, and the night time, respectively. Because of aircraft noise, 73%, 88%, 70%, 77%, 78%, and 33% of the residents felt it disturbing indoor conversation, telephoning, watching TV or listening to the ratio, reading or meditating, working, sleeping, and studying, respectively. It was examined that the bad effects of aircraft noise on the health were severe : 43% of the resident said they experienced embarrassment. 52% astonishment, 66% absence of mind, 61% heart-beating. 77% headaches, 78% earache, and 93% displeasure. For the survey of the residents' damage consciousness about aircraft noise, the level of aircraft noise was set as an objective variable, and gender, age, occupation. Education, the type of house, the structure of windows, the consciousness of settlement in the district, and the period of residence were set as explanatory variables. And the quantification theory I was applied to the analysis. The most influencing factor of the damage consciousness on aircraft noise was the education, the second occupation, the third age, the forth the consciousness of settlement, the fifth the period of residence, the sixth gender, the seventh the type of house, and the least influencing factor among them was the structure of windows. These findings will be a useful guideline when the government seeks to set up policies which will help solve the resident's noise problems near Taegu Airport.

  • 본 연구는 국내 항공기 소음에 대한 성가심 반응을 정량화하는 연구에서 성가심 반응에 영향을 주는 변수에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 영향이 예상되는 변수를 설문조사 시 함께 질의하고, 그 결과를 통해 성가심 반응과의 통계적 유의성을 검증해 보았다. 본 연구에서 사용한 성가심 반응에 영향이 예상되는 독립변수는 크게 소음/비소음 변수로 나누었다. 소음 변수로서 항공기 소음원의 소음도, 비소음 변수로서 연령, 학력, 성별, 직업, 주택형태, 거주기간에 대해서 일원분산분석을 하였다. 또한 대상지역의 민원 발생 여부에 대해서 조사하였다.

건강보험 자료에 의한 우리나라 청소년의 소음성 난청 환자 발생 양상 (Incidence Rate of Noise Induced Hearing Loss in Korean Youths Using National Health Insurance Data)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the incidence rate of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) in Korean youths using the National Health Insurance Data Methods: We obtained the case of NIHL with the National Health Insurance Data and calculated the incidence rate of NIHL after classifying them by year (from 2005 through 2008), age, gender, birth cohort. Results: The age-adjusted incidence rate by year of NIHL per 100,000 population increased by 40.6% from 13.8 persons in 2005 to 19.4 persons in 2008, which showed a increasing trend every year. In particular, the incidence rate per 100,000 population among the adolescents (15-19 years of age) shot up by 78.2% from 8.7 persons in 2005 to 15.5 persons in 2008. According to the incidence rate by birth cohort of NIHL, the birth cohorts showed the gradually increase in incidence rate as time passed by. Adolescents in early 20s (20-24 years of age) had a higher incidence rate than teenage and men had a higher incidence rate than women. Conclusions: The results suggest that incidence rate of NIHL in Korean youths has rapidly increased among adolescents. Therefore, it is required to educate adolescents about the risk of hearing loss due to noise, establish program to prevent NIHL among adolescents and provide them with health education on hearing loss prevention.
