  • The purposes of this study are to identify the characteristics of inner-city industrial community and to analyse the subsistence mode of small manufacturing enterprises in the industrial community in Taegu Metropolitan area. The case study area, Nowon 1. 2-ga dong, is the typical inner city industrial community, adjacent to old industrial complex, which was recently transformed from semi -industrial to semi-residential zoning district. Now there are many old one story housing, newly constructed multi stories housing and many small factories of metal and machinery products. The conflicts of between residents and small business owners are not serious but latent. The subsistence mode of small manufacturing enterprises in this area is characterized as the network production system. The main attributes of this mode are local integration, horizontal subcontracting and strong industrial linkages in production processes and transactions. These transactions are mainly made by face-to-face contacts. The small business owners' local social networks are seen as series of units which are interconnected through various types of social and business relations. They exchange business information as using social networks. In addition, the majority of them join local social clubs with their local business counterpartners. Finally, the locational advantages of inner-city industrial community are production network, different industrial linkages and characteristic industrial milieu such as social solidarity, informal labor market and incubator effects. But these advantages are being challenged from the contradiction between capital and laned property and the urban gentrification policy. Accordingly, there should be positive redevelopment policy considering the subsistence mode of small business in these areas.

  • This study analyzes the plan to increase the social value of the KRC (Korea Rural Community Corporation). For this aim, this study examines the current status of participation in the KRC business and the social value, targeting the farmers among the external stakeholders and derived the main characteristics and important projects of the KRC using network analysis. As a result of network analysis, the rural water management business was found to be the most important business in most regions (Rural Water Development Business 0.805, Agricultural and Fishery Production Base Maintenance Business 0.758, Farmland Banking Business 0.762, Regional Development Business 0.643). On the other hand, in the case of Jeju, the agricultural production base improvement business and the regional development project were found to be the most important projects of KRC due to the unique characteristics of the region. The results of this kind of analysis differ in the importance between KRC business by region, and it is necessary to carefully review the local conditions in order to enhance social value through KRC business in the future. However, since the value of degree centrality between each business is different for each region, efforts to increase the value of KRC's social value, while accounting for local conditions, are needed.

The survey was given to random spectators who watched KBO (The Korea Baseball Organization) games in 2018. With 189 surveyed participants, this study used exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis to verify the reliability and validity of the measured variables. The hierarchical multiple regression correlation was employed as a statistical method for the hypotheses of this study. The findings showed that spectators' experiences have influences on satisfaction. Among the experience factors, education and entertainment affect attachment, and education has the only significant influence on a sense of community. In addition, spectators' attachment and a sense of community positively influence satisfaction. Attachment and a sense of community have a relatively mediated effect on spectators' experiences and satisfaction. • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors determining users' acceptance of individualized virtual community. While there has been considerable research on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that has predicted whether individuals will accept and voluntarily use information systems, limitations of the TAM include the omission of an important characteristics of individual construct in the context of individualized community. Based on literature relating to the theory of reasoned action (TRA), the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the TAM, this study extends the applicability of the TAM in a individualized community context, by adding characteristics of individual-based construct ("subjective norm", "self-efficacy", "self-presentation" and "sharing information to exchange various information") to the model. Analysis was conducted on using the structural equation modeling approach. The result supports the extended TAM in predicting users' intentions to using personalized community. Several implications for IT/IS acceptance research and individualized community service management practices are discussed.

  • In general, using information and communication technology (ICT) to support problem-solving is becoming increasingly common across various industries, sectors, and regions. However, there have been few analyses on the factors affecting ICT problem-solving among officers working at People's Committees of mountainous communes. Using survey data, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and multivariable linear regression, this study examined the factors that influence the use of ICT in resolving works among community officers at People's Committees in the Northwest mountainous region of Vietnam. The results showed that three factors with statistical significance affecting the dependent variable are computer skills, gender, and occupation of community officers. Therefore, it is recommended that officers participate in ICT training courses or engage in regular self-study to improve their computer skills and qualifications. Both men and women should also prioritize the use of ICT equipment. The study also found that officers in managerial positions were more likely to use ICT for problem-solving than their counterparts. However, some factors that affect the use of ICT were not identified in this study, leaving room for further research.

  • Purpose: This study evaluates the ability to improve the economic welfare of rural communities in Indonesia by using the inequality measures of the distribution of information between leaders and their people as a variable that weakens the capacity of increasing the welfare. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: The research designed by developing an instrument using data validity and reliability testing. Before, primary data collected through interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation on the selected respondents. Then, the research method used is mixed methods research, in which quantitative and qualitative methods combined. Result: The finding from this study is that there is an inequality measure in the form of a high gap between the score of information distribution obtained by the village government compared to the score of the community, which has led to the welfare of the village which is still at a moderate level and not ready to become a prosperous society. Conclusion: The weakness of the village community is related to two things, namely the behavior and knowledge of the community about the issues, so the implication is that there must be a strong effort from the central government to ensure that technology is more evenly distributed to all villagers.
