  • Software is completely exposed to an attacker after it is distributed because reverse engineering is widely known. To protect software, techniques against reverse engineering are necessary. A code encryption scheme is one of the techniques. A code encryption scheme encrypts the binary executable code. Key management is the most important part of the code encryption scheme. However, previous schemes had problems with key management. In an effort to solve these problems in this paper, we survey the previous code encryption schemes and then propose a new code encryption scheme based on an indexed table. Our scheme provides secure and efficient key management for code encryption.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand conversations and to identify typical conversational problems between nurses and patients with dementia. Method: A conversation analysis method was used. The data was collected in a geriatric institutional setting, using a videotape recorder, and transcribed. The transcribed data was analyzed in terms of expressions, contents, and relationships to identify communicative problems and their resolutions, Results: Among a total of 532 episodes, 440(82.7%) we're identified as nurse-involved episodes. In addition, 66 of the 440 episodes were selected based on the significance of the conversation. The communicative problems between nurses and patients in terms of expressions were identified as 'directive and authoritative expressions', 'emotional and competitive expressions', 'evasive and on-looking expressions', and 'excessive use of title only', such as calling them granny or grandpa without proper names. In terms of content and relationships, 'lack of themes in psychosocial areas' and 'nurse-led relations' were identified respectively as communicative problems. Conclusion: The results of this study will provide substantial guidelines for nurses in caring for elderly patients with dementia by deeply understanding linguistic structures and problems of everyday conversations between nurses and patients with dementia.

  • As a medium for communication on science and technology, science museum could be important to adults who finished formal school education. By analysing all the exhibits at the National Science Museum and conducting a face-to-face interview survey toward 100 adult visitors, based on the PEP / IS model's perspective(Kim, 2007), this study aimed to find a way to induce many adults to visit science museum from the information consumer's viewpoint, not the information provider's one. The result was that most of the exhibits were not related to problems which people focused attention on. About half of visitors, therefore, did not relate their problems with exhibits and responded that there was no relationship between exhibits and their everyday life. However, they had an idea that science and technology could contribute to solving their problems. These findings could suggest that first, science exhibits in relation to people's focused problems or issues are to be developed, second, programs for parents who are accompanied by their children are to be developed, and last, adults' engagement in planning the science museum exhibits is to be considered.

  • This paper investigates an efficient transmission scheme for the remote wireless sensors to receive information which is rarely discussed in the integrated remote wireless sensor and multibeam satellite networks (IWSMSNs). The networks can be employed to exchange sensing information for emergency scenario, ocean scenario, and so on, which are isolated from available terrestrial networks. As the efficient transmission link is important to the IWSMSNs, we propose a hybrid full frequency (HFF) precoding by taking advantage of frequency reuse and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) precoding. Considering energy efficiency and sinks fairness are crucial to transmission link, thus the HFF precoding problems are formulated as transmit power minimization (TPM) and max-min fair (MMF) received signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) problems, which can be transformed to indefinite quadratic optimization programs. Then this paper presents a semi-definite programming (SDP) algorithm to solve the problems for the IWSMSNs. The promising potential of HFF for the real IWSMSNs is demonstrated through simulations.

  • Mathematical Communication ability can be more developed through sharing thoughts with others. Therefore when we instruct students in math, it is very important for teachers to provide them with opportunity to communicate mathematically. So this study provided open-ended problems in small-group collaborative learning. And we analyzed students' mathematical communication focused on the student's level of understanding. Furthermore, to improve students' mathematical communication ability, this study tries to attract the factors that we should consider the exact date for inserting the open-ended problems into a course of math and the student's level of understanding for selecting suitable open-ended problems.

  • The research about the Korean integrated wireless network for railways is in progress. The network integrates and complements the various railway functions. In addition, the network is trying to change from wire communication to radio communication. The activities for the railway frequency acquisition are also in progress for the implementation of the network. This paper analyzes the problems for the Korean railway communication networks. The problems revolve around the dispersed network structure, the limited functions, the different communication methods, the technology limitation for the communication methods, and the usage of the non-licensed band. Subsequently, we explain the current state and trend for the foreign communication of the railways. This paper suggests improvement plans for the problems and also explains the expected efficiency for the improvement plans.

  • The Logic Built In Self Test (LBIST) technique is substantially applied in chip design in most many semiconductor company in despite of unavoidable overhead like an increase in dimension and time delay occurred as it used. Currently common LBIST software uses the MISR (Multiple Input Shift Register) However, it has many considerations like defining the X-value (Unknown Value), length and number of Scan Chain, Scan Chain and so on for analysis of result occurred in the process. So, to solve these problems, common LBIST software provides the solution method automated. Nevertheless, these problems haven't been solved automatically by Tri-state Bus in logic circuit yet. This paper studies the simulator and algorithm that judges whether Tri-state Bus lines is the circuit which have X-value or One-hot Value after presuming the control signal of the lines which output X-value in the logic circuit to solve the most serious problems.

  • AIS(Automatic Identification System) is a radionavigation equipment for exchanging safety related information between ships as well as ship and shore station, introduced by SOLAS convention and widely used especially in vessel traffic service. However, in an area of broad communication coverage of coast station, various problems may appear in receiving AIS data from ships. In this paper, AIS problems that may happen in broad communication coverage of coast station are analyzed using received data.

  • Differential evolution is an efficient algorithm for solving continuous optimization problems. However, its performance deteriorates rapidly, and the runtime increases exponentially when differential evolution is applied for solving large-scale optimization problems. Hence, a novel cooperative coevolution differential evolution based on Spark (known as SparkDECC) is proposed. The divide-and-conquer strategy is used in SparkDECC. First, the large-scale problem is decomposed into several low-dimensional subproblems using the random grouping strategy. Subsequently, each subproblem can be addressed in a parallel manner by exploiting the parallel computation capability of the resilient distributed datasets model in Spark. Finally, the optimal solution of the entire problem is obtained using the cooperation mechanism. The experimental results on 13 high-benchmark functions show that the new algorithm performs well in terms of speedup and scalability. The effectiveness and applicability of the proposed algorithm are verified.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine relationships between parent-adolescent communication, family cohesion and family adaptability perceived by Korean adolescents resident in Korea (K-K) and Korean adolescents resident in America (K-A). Subjects were selected from among middle and high school, undergraduate and graduate school students in Korea (N=555) and counterpart students in Los Angeles (N=296). The survey instruments were the Parent-Adolescent Communication Inventory (Barnes & Olson, 1982) and FACES III (Bell, Olson, & Partner, 1982). Major findings were that : (1) K-A adolescents engaged in open communication with their parents more than K-K adolescents. (2) K-A families communicated about their health and life styles more frequently than K-K families, while K-K families communicated about school problems and problems with friends more than K-A families. (3) In both groups, family cohesion was related to family adaptability. That is, when family cohesion was high, family adaptability was also high. (4) When communication styles were open, perceived family cohesion and adaptability was high.
