  • In [4], Dhage proved a result for common fixed point of two self-maps satisfying a contractive condition in D-metric spaces. This note proves a fixed point theorem for five self-maps under weak-compatibility in D-metric space which improves and generalizes the above mentioned result.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of common fixed points of infinite family of nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions to a generalized equilibrium problem and the set of solutions to a variational inequality problem in a real Hilbert space. Then strong convergence of the scheme to a common element of the three sets is proved. As applications, three new strong convergence theorems are obtained. Our theorems extend important recent results.

  • Current common rail engines are equipped with cooled EGR systems by using an engine cooling water system. In this study, investigations of exhaust gas reduction characteristics have been carried out in the common rail engine system depending on the EGR rate variation. The experimental results shows that NOx reduces and smoke increases as the EGR rate increases.

  • In this paper, we firstly suggested C&D (Common mode and Differential mode) model for the representation of a stereophonic signal. Then a measure of stereophonic channel separability is defined as the ratio of differential mode energy to total energy in frequency domain. After that, a new channel separability enhancement scheme is proposed by the control of common mode rejection. Finally, some experimental results are presented in order to verify our scheme.

  • We present a quantitative phase microscopy for live cells. This method uses the principles of common path inteferometry and single shot phase image. This system has the ability to measure live cells quantitatively with subnanometer path length stability and millisecond scale aquisition time.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study an implicit iteration process with errors and establish weak and strong convergence theorems to converge to common fixed points for a finite family of generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings in the framework of uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our results extend, improve and generalize some known results from the existing literature.

  • This study considers the problem of scheduling jobs on uniform parallel machines with a common due date. The objective is to minimize the total absolute deviation of job completion times about the common due date. This problem is motivated by the fact that a certain phase of printed circuit board manufacturing is bottleneck and the processing speeds of parallel machines in this phase are uniformly different for all jobs. Optimal properties are proved and a simple polynomial time optimal algorithm is developed.

  • This paper considers a non preemtive single processor scheduling problem in which each set have the two common due dates. The objective of the problem is to minimize the weighted mean absolute deviation of job completion times about such two common due dates under the assumption that each job has a different weight. Such a job sequence is an W-shaped sequence. We propose three heuristic solution methods based on several dominance conditions. Numerical examples are presented. The performance comparison is made among three heuristic scheduling procedures.

  • We modify the montgomery modeular multikplication to extract the common parts in common-multiplicand multi-plications. Since the modified method computes the common parts in two modular multiplications once rather than twice, it can speed up the exponentiations and reduce the amount of storage tables in m-ary or windowexponentiation. It can be also applied to an exponentiation mehod by folding the exponent in half. This method is well-suited to the memory limited environments such as IC card due to its speed and requirement of small memory.
