유화커드를 이용한 연어 패티의 DHA 강화 및 이의 식품성분 특성 (DHA Enrichment of Salmon Patty using Emulsion Curd and Its Component Characteristics)

  • To prepare high-quality fast foods using salmon, this study developed a docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)-enriched salmon patty, and compared its quality with soybean oil-added patty and commercial patty. The moisture and lipid contents of the DHA-enriched patty were 61.9% and 7.7%, respectively. The moisture content was lower than in the commercial patty, while the lipid content was higher. The lipophilic and hydrophilic browning indices of the DHA-enriched patty were 0.10 and 0.05, respectively, which were lower than those of the commercial patty. The DHA-enriched patty had 5% less trichloroacetic acid (TCA)-soluble nitrogen than the commercial patty, and it was firmer. There were no differences in the proximate composition, browning indices, TCA-soluble nitrogen content, and hardness between the soybean-added and DHA-enriched patties prepared in this experiment. Examining the fatty acid compositions of the patties, the saturated acid and monoenoic acid compositions decreased in the following order: DHA-enriched patty > soybean oil-added patty > commercial patty, while the polyenoic acid composition increased in that order. The total amino acid content of the DHA-enriched patty was 19.13 g/100 g, which was 32% higher than that of the commercial patty (14.47 g/100 g). No enriching effect of minerals would be expected on eating a 100 g DHA-enriched patty, except for phosphorus. The sensory evaluation indicated that the DHA-enriched patty was superior in color and taste to the commercial patty, while there was no difference in flavor between the patties.

오일팜 EFB(Empty fruit bunch)를 이용한 MCC 제조 및 제제 적용성 평가 (Preparation and Evaluation of Tabletting properties of Microcrystalline Cellulose from Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch)

  • The microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was prepared from oil palm biomass, empty fruit bunch (EFB) for increasing the usability of EFB. The morphological, physical and chemical properties of MCC made from EFB were evaluated by comparing with those of the commercial MCC obtained from AVICEL. The EFB-MCC had the wider distribution in particle size and there were many small particles around $10{\mu}m$. There were no significant differences in the cellulose crytallinity and the chemical composition between EFB-MCC and AVICEL-MCC. The properties of tablet samples made by the common direct compression process were evaluated depending on the types of MCC and the compression pressure during tablet making process. The tablet made of EFB MCC showed the higher compressed structure, which resulted in the less disintegration by the water soaking treatment than those made of Avicel-MCC. The results of this study showed that the EFB-MCC could be utilized as one of the commercial MCC.

소리쟁이 뿌리 열수 추출물의 폴리페놀 함량 및 추출물의 항산화 효과 (Polyphenol Contents of Rumex crispus Root Extract with Hot Water and its Antioxidative Effect)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the extraction characteristics including total polyphenol compound content (TPC) and the antioxidative effect of Rumex crispus root extract on commercial corn oil. Extraction yield was increased with extraction temperature but decreased with extraction ratio. No significant differences in aromatics content were found among the extracts prepared with various extraction conditions; extraction ratio, extraction temperature, extraction pH and composition of extractant. Total flavonoid content of the extract was increased with extraction temperature and extraction pH, and highest value of it was found when extractant composition of ethanol in water was 75%. Total polyphenol compound content (TPC) of the extract with 10 fold extraction ratio showed the highest value, but no significant difference in TPC was found with extraction temperature. Reducing power and DPPH (${\alpha}$,${\alpha}$-diphenyl-${\beta}$-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging ability (RSA) of the extract in spectrophotometric absorbance were decreased with extraction ratio but increased with extraction temperature and showed 63.1%~98.4% and 67.6%~86.7% of those of ascorbic acid in reducing power and DPPH RSA, respectively. The antioxidative effects of the extract on corn oil were 84.8~93.0% of that of commercial butylated hydroxytoluene, the antioxidant index value was highest when the ethanol composition to water in extractant was equal ratio.

  • The target of this work was the process development of demonstration plant to produce the high quailty alternative fuel oil by the pyrolysis of mixed plastic waste. In the first step of research, the bench-scale units of 70t/y and the pi lot plant of 360 t/v had been developed. Main research contents in this step were the process performance test of pilot plant ot 360ton/year and the development of demonstration plant of 3 000 t/y which was constructed at Korea R & D Company in Kimjae City. The process performance of pilot plant of 360 t/v showed components in PONA group appeared at between that of commercial gasoline and kerosene. On the other hand, HO product was mainly paraffin and olefin components and also appeared at upper temperature distribution range than commercial diesel. Gas product showed a high fraction of $C_3\;and\;C_4$ product like LPG composition, but also a high fraction of $CO_2$ and CO by probably a little leak of process.

  • 상용차에 장착된 리타더(retarder)는 상용 브레이크를 보조하는 유압식 브레이크 시스템으로써 운전자의 자동모드 및 수동모드 선택에 의해 작동된다. 리타더 작동에 의해 발생된 열은 리타더 오일에 전달되며 리타더의 냉각기와 차량의 냉각시스템에 의해 열교환이 일어난다. 이때 리타더의 ECU는 자동모드와 수동모드, 리타더 오일/냉각수 온도, 엔진 냉각수 온도, 차량속도 등을 고려하여 제동토크를 조정하는 기능을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 냉각 시스템 관련 리타더 제어로직 설계와 리타더 제동성능에 따른 시험결과를 제시하고자 한다.

메조포러스 분자체에 담지된 Pt/Pd 촉매상에서 납사분해 잔사유의 방향족 화합물 수소화 특성 (Hydrogenation Characteristics of Aromatics in Residue Oil of Naphtha Cracking on Pt/Pd Impregnated Mesoporous Molecular Sieve)

  • 불화실리콘산($H_2SiF_6$)과 질산알루미늄의 혼합 수용액을 주형으로 사용되는 $C_{16}TMABr$(cethyltrimethylaminonium bromide)용액에 첨가하여 불화실리콘산의 hydrolysis 반응에 의해서 메조포러스 분자체(Al-MMS)를 합성하였다. 합성된 분자체를 분석한 결과 비표면적이 $981m^2/g$이고, 기공 크기가 $39{\AA}$ 부근에서 균일함을 보이는 메조포러스 분자체가 합성되었으며, $NH_3$-TPD 결과 산의 세기가 크지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 합성된 담체가 납사분해 잔사유에 포함되어 있는 방향족 화합물의 수소화 반응에 대한 촉매 담체로써 적용 가능한가를 조사하기 위해서 Pt 및 Pd의 금속 성분을 담지시킨 후, 납사 분해 잔사유에 많이 포함되어 있는 방향족 화합물인 나프탈렌을 모델화합물로 정하고 나프탈렌의 수소화 반응에 대한 온도별 전환율, 반응속도 상수, 활성화 에너지를 조사하였다. 또한, 다른 메조포러스 담체와 상용담체를 이용하여 촉매를 제조한 후 같은 방법으로 비교하였다. 그 결과 PtPd/Al-MMS 촉매가 우수한 탈방향족 활성과 황저항성을 나타내었으며, 다른 메조포러스 담체 및 상용 담체와 비교한 결과 활성이 우수하게 나타났다. 실제 납사분해 잔사유의 일종인 PGO(pyrolized gas oil)를 원료로 실험해 본 결과 활성이 우수하게 나타났으며 Pd/Al-MMS 촉매는 납사분해 잔사유에 포함된 방향족 화합물의 수소화 촉매로써 응용 가능성을 보였다.

수소생산을 위한 해조류 유래 수용액 상 바이오오일의 수증기 개질 반응 (Hydrogen Production by Steam Reforming of Aqueous Bio-Oil from Marine Algae)

  • 해조류 유래 급속열분해를 통해 생성된 바이오오일로부터 수소가스를 생산하기 위해 상용 개질 촉매를 사용하여 수증기 개질 반응을 수행하였다. 반응원료로 급속열분해로부터 생성되는 crude 바이오오일의 상분리를 통해 얻어진 수용액상의 바이오오일이 사용되었으며, 상용 개질 촉매(FCR-4-02, POS-7, Cat. A, RUA), 반응온도 및 수증기/탄소(S/C) 비율에 따른 수증기 개질 반응의 활성을 비교 연구하였다. 실험 결과 원료의 S/C 비율과 촉매의 구성성분에 따라 반응활성이 크게 달라지는 것이 확인되었으며, 특히 POS-7 촉매를 사용한 1073 K, S/C 비율 10의 조건에서의 수증기 개질 반응에서 가장 높은 수소 수율(70%)이 확인되었다.

The Effect of Emission Control Using Electrolytic Seawater Scrubber

  • It is well known that SOx and NOx concentration has a considerable influence on the $N_2O$ emission of the greenhouse gas properties. The quantity of SOx generated during combustion, on fuel specific basis, is directly related to the sulfur content of the fuel oil. However, restricting the fuel oil sulfur content is only a partial response to limiting the overall quantity of SOx emissions, as there remains no over control on the fuel oil consumption other than the commercial pressure which have always directed the attention. This study was carried out as a new basic experiment method of emission control, manly targeted to the vessel. In the experiment, where the scrubbing was achieved through spray tower with high alkaline water made from the electrolysis of seawater, the combined action was to neutralize the exhaust gases (SOx, PM, CO etc.), dilute it, and wash it out. The results showed that SOx reduction of around 95 percent or over could be achieved when using in the high alkaline water, and also leaded to a reduction in the stability of the each pollutant components including the PM (Particulate Matter). The results suggest that the seawater electrolysis method has a very effective reduction of emissions without heavy cost, or catalysts particularly on board.

바이오디젤 연료 분무의 거동특성 연구 (A Study of Behavior Characteristics of Biodiesel Fuel Spray)

  • Diesel engine is most suitable one for biodiesel fuel because the compression-ignition diesel engine has desirable fuel consumption due to higher thermal efficiency and in addition, the improvement of the fuel consumption also leads to a reduction of $CO_2$ emission and then it does not need to have spark-ignition system, which means that there is less charge on the technic and complexity. In this study, the spray behavior characteristics of the vegetable palm oil were analyzed by using a common-rail injection system of commercial diesel engine and the results were compared with those obtained for the diesel fuel. The injection pressures and blend ratios of palm oil and diesel(BD3, BD5, BD20, BD30, BD50, and BD100) were the main parameters. The experiments were conducted for different injection pressures: 500bar, 1000bar, 1500bar, and 1600bar by setting injection duration to $500{\mu}s$. Consequently, it was found that there is no significant difference in the macro characteristics of the spray behavior(spray penetration and spray angle) in response to change in the blend ratio of palm oil and diesel at a fixed injection pressure. In particular, all experiments showed the spray angle about $12^{\circ}{\sim}13^{\circ}$.

바이오연료의 디젤엔진 적용에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study on Application of Biofuel to Diesel Engine)

  • Compared to gasoline engines, diesel engines with a relatively simple ignition system are more advantageous in the application of biodeisel fuel to engine. Then in this study the comparative analysis on the spray characteristics and combustion emissions characteristic between the biodiesel(soybean oil) and diesel, the fuel for commercial diesel engine, was performed with common rail injection system. Injection pressure and ratio of biodiesel blended fuel were selected as main experimental variables. Consequently, it can be found that there is no significant difference in the macro characteristics of the spray behavior(spray penetration and spray angle) in response to change in the blend ratio of soybean oil and diesel at a fixed injection pressure, in particular, soot creation in combustion emissions in the region of low pressure was greatly affected by the blend ratio of soybean oil, however, the creation in the region of high pressure was almost unaffected by the blend ratio because of promoted atomization.
