  • The electronics of a mobile robot ill nuclear facilities is required to satisfied the reliability to sustain survival in its radiation environment. To know how much radiation the robot has been encountered to replace sensitive electronic parts, a dosimeter to measure total accumulated dose is necessary. Among many radiation dosimeters or detectors, semiconductor radiation sensors have advantages in terms of power requirements and their sires over conventional detectors. This paper describes the use of the radiation-induced threshold voltage change of a commercial power pMOSFET as an accumulated radiation dose monitoring mean and that of the photo-current of a commercial PIN Diode as a dose-rate measurement mean. Commercial p-type power MOSFETs and PIN Diodes were tested in a Co-60 gamma irradiation facility to see their capabilities as radiation sensors. We found an inexpensive commercial power pMOSFET that shows good linearity in their threshold voltage shift with radiation dose and a PIN diode that shows good linearity in its photo-current change with dose-rate. According to these findings, a radiation hardened hybrid electronic radiation dosimeter for nuclear robots has been developed for the first time. This small hybrid dosimeter has also an advantage in the point of view of reliability improvement by using a diversity concept.

서울시 주거지역 내 상업 젠트리피케이션의 단계별 변이과정 분석 연구 - 상업 업종의 변화를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Variation Process of Commercial Gentrification Phase in Residential Area in Seoul - Focused on Business Type of Commercial Characteristics -)

  • The ultimate aim of this study is to diagnose the process stage and look at the step change of transition process to see how the step changes. Therefore, in this study, cluster analysis was conducted by examining four types of commercial characteristics such as Retail Homogeneity, Share of Neighbourhood store, Share of chain store, and Share of cafe & Western food store. Through the cluster analysis, three types have been identified. Type1 is the first step which can explain the time before gentrification occurs and when the ratio of neighborhood facilities is the highest. Type2 is the second step that can explain boutique stage where the gentrification occurs. At this time, the ratio of Cafes & Western food restaurant increased and the proportion of neighborhood shops decreased. And Type3, third step is when the mature gentrification occurs. In the analysis of the transition period, it is necessary to monitor the change of the industry in the period from the first stage to the second stage. In the transition period from the second stage to the third stage, It is necessary to constantly monitor such factors as the increase of shops.

하수관거 및 토구에서 발생하는 휘발성 유기화합물 악취 특성 (Odor Characteristics and Concentration of Malodorous Volatile Organic Compounds Emitted from a Sewer and Its Outlet)

  • Objectives: This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from sewerage facilities such as a sanitary sewers, outlets, and catch basins. In addition, the dominant malodorous VOCs among the compounds in this study were studied. Methods: Waste gas samples were collected at 27 points in a sanitary sewer in commercial and residental areas. The concentrations of seven volatile organic compounds, including benzene and toluene, in the samples were analyzed by gas chromatograph mass spectrophotometer (GC/MS). Odor concentrations were estimated using the concentration data of the VOCs and each compound's threshold limit value. Results: As a result, it appeared that the average concentration of total observed data for acetaldehyde was 15.98 ppb and benzene 1.87 ppb, toluene 82.31 ppb, ethyl benzene 63.12 ppb, m+p-xylene 15.66 ppb, oxylene 18.73 ppb, and styrene 4.39 ppb. VOC concentrations in the commercial area were higher than those in the residential area. VOC concentrations of waste gas emitted from sewer lines was also higher than those at the outlet and in the catch basins. It was estimated that the main malodorous VOC among the seven VOCs was acetaldehyde. Conclusions: As there is little data on VOC concentrations inside sewer facilities in Korea, these data will be helpful for estimating impact assessment of VOCs and establishing a counter-plan for the abatement of VOCs from sewer facilities in the future.

매장 디스플레이를 활용한 사용자 인지 정보 기반 영상 표출 기술 연구 (Research for user recognition data based image display technology using store display)

  • 상업 시설에는 다양한 상품을 진열하고 판매되고 있어 다양한 상품들 중 특정한 상품을 홍보하기가 매우 어려운 것이 현실이다. 그렇기 때문에 대부분의 진열된 상품의 정보를 홍보하기 위해서는 인쇄물이나 판매사원에 의존하는 경향이 크다. 따라서 매장에서 사용하고 있는 디스플레이를 활용하여 인터렉티브한 사용자 인지 정보를 기반으로 광고/홍보 영상 표출의 구현을 목적으로 두고 있으며, 상업 시설에서 판매/전시되고 있는 특정한 상품을 고객 접점에서 명확한 상품 및 컨텐츠를 홍보하길 원하는 제조업체 또는 광고업체에게 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있는 기술이라고 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 일반 디스플레이가 아닌 투명 디스플레이를 활용하여 광고 영상과 제품의 결합을 통해 광고효과를 극대화하고 사용자 감응형 센서를 적용하여 사용자 인지 유무에 따른 인터렉티브한 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 사용자 지향형 영상 표출 기술을 구현하였다. 이 기술 연구를 통해 다양한 상업시설에서 광고/홍보효과를 극대화할 수 있는 새로운 방향을 제시하였다.

상업시설의 루프탑 공간 개선방안 연구 (An Approach to Improve the Rooftop Space of Commercial Facilities)

  • In the past, the rooftop was a place where a water tank was to be installed, and a space of secretion and concealment such as a warehouse exposed in the air. It was because it was judged to hinder the beauty of a city as a whole without having any functional value per se. However, the roof portion is increasingly being utilized for a space such as a cafe, a pub, and a lounge as the rooftop is highly recognized as a place for leisure activities other than an idle space in modern times. Nonetheless, there are no detailed ordinances and criteria corresponding to such circumstances. For example, in case of the rooftop space, the building code applied to the rooftop space is a legal system when the rooftop was an idle space in the past though people have now accessed more increasingly to the rooftop than in the past. This study investigated the definition on the rooftop space evolved in accordance with the change of the rooftop space and the related legal system in Korea, and conducted a survey for the purpose of performing the field investigation for the analysis of physical status in 117 spaces that form the rooftop space in the rooftop of small-scale commercial facilities with 2 stories through 4 stories in Korea and analyze the recognition of users and analyzing the recognition of users. We analyzed the problems in the rooftop space through analysis of derived data, and suggested improvement plans.

급속 충전 정보를 활용한 버스 차량 충전 전력 분배 기법 (Distribution Technique of Bus Charging Power Using Rapid Charging Information)

  • 충전기 인프라 시설은 일정한 전력 공급량을 기반으로 설계 및 설치되어 있다. 초기 설계된 충전 시설은 급속히 성장하는 전기 차량의 충전을 한정된 공급 전력량 기반으로 지원한다. 또한, 현재 상용차량은 완전 충전만 가능하며, 급속 균등 충전 방식으로 지원된다. 하지만 상용차량은 정해진 스케줄에 따라 운영되기에 탄력적인 충전이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 전기 차량의 급속한 성장 및 증가에 따라 동일 전력량을 기반으로 상용 버스의 고정 스케줄 기반 충전 스케쥴링 및 전력 분배 기법을 활용하여 20%이상 효율 향상된 전력 운영방안을 제시한다.

인간 생태학적 관점에서의 상업지구 내 가로망의 공간배열 특성 - 대전시 으능정이 문화거리를 중심으로 (Space Syntactic Properties of the Street Network in Commercial District from the Perspective of Human Ecology - Focused on Euneungjeongi Culture Street in Daejeon, Korea)

  • This study aims at proposing a sound and sustainable development direction of an urban commercial district by identifying space syntactic properties, from the perspective of human ecology, of the street network in Enuengjeongi culture street as the representative commercial district of Daejeon City in Korea. The results are obtained through Angular Segment Analysis (ASA) on the street network in subject area for this study. It was found that most of the socially integrated nodes are arranged along the axis of main street in the district. However, in some of those nodes, it was investigated that the social integrative function have weakened, because open spaces as public space for the general public are occupied illegally by commercial purposes of shops and car parking. It was found that the socially isolated nodes are located at the district boundary connected to a relative narrow street, with a relatively low density of the commercial facilities. Besides, it was identified that a street width in the commercial district may be a factor affecting the social integration of a space on the basis of the openness of the space.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 활성화되어 있는 천안 종합버스터미널 상업지역과 침체된 천안역 상업지역의 도심환경 인식 차이에 대한 분석을 통하여 천안역 상업지역의 이용자 만족도에 영향을 미치는 도심 환경요소를 찾는데 있다. 요인분석을 통하여 도심환경 요소들은 보행환경의 쾌적성, 상업 업무시설이용의 용이성, 도심환경의 쾌적성, 대중교통 접근성, 거리디자인(상징성) 등으로 분류되었다. 천안역 상업지역의 만족도에 상대적으로 크게 영향을 미치는 도심환경요인은 보행환경의 쾌적성과 상업 업무시설이용의 편리성인 2개 요인들인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 천안역 상업지역의 활성화를 위한 사업시행 시 보행환경이 쾌적하게 유지될 수 있도록 개선이 필요하며, 상업 업무시설인 은행이나 복합쇼핑몰 등을 효과적으로 배치할 수 있는 방안을 찾을 필요가 있다.

The Spatial Performance of Multi-Level Shopping Clusters A Case Study of Nanshan Commercial Cultural District

  • With the intensification of urban development in Chinese cities, mixed land use in urban centers extends vertically into 3-D and expands its scale from a single building to commercial clusters. The multi-level pedestrian system in city centers also changed its role from one of traffic isolation to spatial integration, where transit nodes, street sidewalks, squares, building entrances, atriums, and corridors are interconnected, both horizontally and vertically, into a whole spatial system, within which pedestrian flows are guided and shopping facilities are arranged. This paper uses spatial configuration analysis of space syntax to examine the impacts of spatial patterns on movement distribution and the business performance of tenant mix in the multi-level commercial system of the Nanshan Commercial Cultural District in Shenzhen, China. The key objective is to better understand the interactions between the socio-economic variables and spatial design parameters of a shopping complex. The research findings point to the importance of multiplicity between syntactic variables and other spatial variables in influencing the pedestrian flows, business performance and tenant mix in highly complex commercial systems. Particularly noteworthy is the relationship between spatial accessibility measures and the location of escalators, and the ways in which individual commercial buildings are embedded into the overall spatial system. The study suggests that this may lead to the preliminary identification of the spatial qualities of effective vertical extensions of mixed land use in a high-density urban settings.

광주지역 다중이용시설에서 실내공기질 농도와 상관성 분석 (The Concentration of Indoor Air Quality and Correlations of Materials at Multiple-use Facilities in Gwangju)

  • 광주지역 다중이용시설 54개소와 공중이용시설 15개소에 대한 입자상물질(미세먼지, 석면), 가스상물질($CO_2$, CO, $NO_2$, HCHO, Rn, VOCs), 총부유세균의 농도에 대해서 조사하고 각 항목간의 상관성분석을 실시하였다. 미세먼지($PM_{10}$)는 실내주차장에서 평균 $69.2\;{\mu}g/m^3$로 가장 높았고, 이어서 보육시설, 대규모점포, 지하역사 순이었다. 일산화탄소는 실내주차장에서 평균 2.7 ppm으로 가장 높았고, 이산화탄소는 의료시설에서 604.1 ppm으로 가장 높았으며, 이산화질소는 실내주차장에서 0.036 ppm으로 가장 높았다. 포름알데하이드는 54개 전체시설에서 기하평균 $3.6\;{\mu}g/m^3$이었으며, 미술관은 $631.8\;{\mu}g/m^3$로 가장 높았다. 휘발성유기화합물질(VOCs)은 모든 시설에서 기하평균 $24.14\;{\mu}g/m^3$이었고, 이 중 톨루엔이 $15.30\;{\mu}g/m^3$로 가장 높았으며, 이어서 자일렌, 에틸벤젠, 벤젠, 스티렌 순으로 조사되었다. 총부유세균은 찜질방에서 평균 $625.3\;CFU/m^3$로 가장 높았고, 보육시설, 의료기관, 대규모점포 순이었다. 석면은 보육시설에서, 라돈은 미술관에서 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 보육시설에서 미세먼지와 총부유세균은 로그함수의 결정계수($R^2$) 0.5332로 양의 상관성을 보여주었고, 이산화탄소와 일산화탄소는 보육시설과 실내주차장에서 양의 상관성을 보여주었다. 휘발성물질간의 상관식은 모든시설에서 직선함수보다는 로그함수에 의해 잘 설명되었다.
