The Effect of Information Technology on Arms-Length Buyer-Supplier Relationship

  • This paper posits that arm's length buyer-supplier relationship as the intermediate type between market exchange relations and strategic partnership might be advisable, and information technology may have a role as a mechanism actualizing the effects of such arm's length relationship by strategic supply-line diversification. Based on the theoretical analysis on interactive feedback relationships among IT level, buyer-supplier relationships, and supply chain structure, we suggest a set of advisable buyer-supplier relationship type for efficient supply chain management. Also, doing so would be helpful in suggesting a dynamic IT investment and adoption model appropriate for the establishment of productive buyer-supplier relationship, and further in providing theoretical foundations and practical guidelines on the role and function of B-to-B E-commerce for efficient SC integration.

The Meaning of the Shortening Tendency of Women's Chogori in the Latter of Period Chosun (조선후기 여자 저고리 단소화와 비교적 의미)

  • This study aims to analyze the shortening tendency of women's hanbok chogori (upper part of the Korean traditional dress) in the latter period of Chosun in three respects-socially, economically, and aesthetically. First, from the social point of riew, sexual role and social starus were examined. The strict sexual roles between males and females made the latter inferior to the former. The relatively lower sexual role had the woman look receptive and passive and wear a short and narrow kind of chogori. Also, the confusion of the social status system weakened the function of the costumes to differentiate social classes and, consequently, almost all classes wore short chogori. Second, the economic progress in the wake of the commerce-centered positivism at that time helped raise the economic status of the middle and low classes. As a result, with their social and economic status elevated, they tried to wear somewhat luxurious chogori. Third, aesthetically speaking, erotically-look-ing and much-shortened chogori derived from the weakened male-centered Confucian tra-ditional ethics in conflict with the humani-tarian positivism.

The research of new algorithm to improve prediction accuracy of recommender system in electronic commercey

  • In recommender systems which are used widely at e-commerce, collaborative filtering needs the information of user-ratings and neighbor user-ratings. These are an important value for recommendation in recommender systems. We investigate the in-formation of rating in NBCFA (neighbor Based Collaborative Filtering Algorithm), we suggest new algorithm that improve prediction accuracy of recommender system. After we analyze relations between two variable and Error Value (EV), we suggest new algorithm and apply it to fitted line. This fitted line uses Least Squares Method (LSM) in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA). To compute the prediction value of new algorithm, the fitted line is applied to experimental data with fitted function. In order to confirm prediction accuracy of new algorithm, we applied new algorithm to increased sparsity data and total data. As a result of study, the prediction accuracy of recommender system in the new algorithm was more improved than current algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose about NFC-based mobile Easy Payment System. Already announced about kind of similar payment system by use smart phone NFC function. However this proposition system will uses an encrypted token and user indirect authentication. This feature makes through to simplify payment without other input necessary information. Also my proposition system has easy security certification process. This mean my system does not adequately to use payment of a large amount. But in retail payment will be very useful payment system.

  • This paper presents a heuristic approach to derive the Laplace-Stieltjes transform (LST) and the probability generating function (PGF) of the waiting time distributions of a continuous- and a discrete-time GI/G/1 queue, respectively. This is a new idea to derive the well-known results, the waiting time distribution of GI/G/1 queue, in a different way.

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of wide use of digital technology, in particular, the Internet, on innovation process and corporate strategy in electronics industry. The introduction of digital technology has changed innovation process, business model and organizational structure of the electronics companies. With the wide use of digital technology, the entire value chain of electronics industry from procurement, sales, and marketing to R&D and manufacturing has been restructured. This paper examine how digital technology has changed firms' behaviors in various areas through e-commerce, virtual reality and simulation, the rise of a new type of firm called EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), and etc. Amidst these changes building up innovation-friendly organization has emerged as a critical concern for firms. Due to the striking decrease of transaction cost, a network type of organization has proliferated, and a business function turns into a modular organization. As a whole, digital technology has pushed electronics firms into developing their own business model, which takes consideration of standardization of business platform and their core competency.

  • The urban form of Korean cities significantly changed in the late Chosun dynasty. The influence of commercial development was the main cause of these changes. Commerce became a important function of existing cities, and the new type of commercial towns emerged at the important spots of traffic routes. In both cases streets became dominant element of urban form. Mainly commercial buildings aggregated along the streets, and to obtain higher land use intensity shape of lots became narrow and deep. Koyang(高陽) shows the most significant example of this new type of lot and lot pattern. Approximately 30 narrow and deep type of lots lined on each side of street forming about 390 meters long linear commercial town. Similar examples were found at the outside of south gate of Suwon(水原), Nuwon(樓院), and Pangyo(板橋).

  • Spread of internet service had a huge effect on usage and spread of SNS world widely. Variety of the service has increased from human network managing to commerce, education, payment method and so on. Also, it is expanding its service territory to not only PC area but also that of mobile equipment with development of information technology. Spread of use on SNS provides existing corporations the expansion of service area. Late SNS starter companies are advancing in diverse way for attracting users by serving shopping, games and other services with association with SNS. Therefore, analysis on consumers' thought and pattern which analyze users' demand, service's function and contents and other factors in order to reflect on plans and operations of SNS is needed. On this perspective, this research is suggesting properties that are crucially related to sustained usage of SNS and study factors of SNS's characteristics that influence trust and satisfaction on SNS and continuous usage intent of SNS.

  • The purpose of this study is to be groped promotion plan of internet marketing of Family Restaurant to get the motive, which is target market of Family Restaurant in Korea, and segment market of Internet users shows identity. Internet is observed as new marketing tool to understand customized needs of customer and to provide service to them in form of the customization. Based on the case study of Homepage of Family Restaurant in Korea, I would propose promotion plan as follow. First, enhance the function of the database marketing through the two-way communication. Second, enforce the e-commerce through the corporate-marketing in which same target market in cyber space. Third, develop the management skill for the Internet marketing in homepage as like specialty of contents.
