In this paper, we propose a system that can detect the shape of a hand at high speed using an FPGA. The hand-shape detection system is designed using Verilog HDL, a hardware language that can process in parallel instead of sequentially running C++ because real-time processing is important. There are several methods for hand gesture recognition, but the image processing method is used. Since the human eye is sensitive to brightness, the YCbCr color model was selected among various color expression methods to obtain a result that is less affected by lighting. For the CbCr elements, only the components corresponding to the skin color are filtered out from the input image by utilizing the restriction conditions. In order to increase the speed of object recognition, a median filter that removes noise present in the input image is used, and this filter is designed to allow comparison of values and extraction of intermediate values at the same time to reduce the amount of computation. For parallel processing, it is designed to locate the centerline of the hand during scanning and sorting the stored data. The line with the highest count is selected as the center line of the hand, and the size of the hand is determined based on the count, and the hand and arm parts are separated. The designed hardware circuit satisfied the target operating frequency and the number of gates.

우리는 눈으로 보는 행위를 통해 모든 사물을 인지한다. 그러나 눈에 들어온 모든 사물들이 그 사물의 본질일지는 확언할 수 없다. 이에 필자는 여기서 인간이 대상을 보는 것, 그리고 그것을 인지하는 것은 과연 무엇일까라는 의문을 던져본다. 우리가 보는 대상은 '이미지'로서의 대상이며, 따라서 필자는 우리가 대상을 인지한다는 것은 우리의 시감각과 두뇌를 거친 기호작용이라고 보고 있다. 대상들의 본질보다는 우리가 인지하는 데에 '기호'로서 그 대상의 관념이 정의되고 있기 때문이다. 포스트모더니즘 시대에 이르러 예술은 더욱 일종의 정신적 가치를 창출하는 자율적 창조 활동으로서 그것을 지각하는 독자의 삶의 가치를 향유하는데 중대한 역할을 맡고 있다. 인간의 인지에 미적 가치를 부여하는 예술 분야에서 초점을 둔 본 논문은 예술 작품을 시지각적으로 규명하는데 기호작용과 연관지어 분석되었다. 예술이라는 인간의 창작 행위는 상징적이며 기호체계와 밀접하게 연결되어있으며, 나아가 파생된 시각 기호는 그것을 바라보는 주체의 시지각성과 궤도를 나란히 한다고 볼 수 있기 때문이다. 더불어 예술작품을 기호로 인식하여 해석한다면, 색(色)이나 형(形)을 통한 폭넓은 사고로 작품을 음미할 수 있으며, 따라서 필자는 예술 작품과 기호와의 관계성을 분석하는데 색채를 중점으로 둔 색채 지각 논의로 담론화 해보고자 한다. 본 논문은 특히 미술사에서 풍부한 색채를 구사하여 그려오던 인상주의 미술에서의 색채 인식 배경과 색채의 위상 및 표현방법을 바탕으로 색채가 감각 언어로서 독자에게 전달되는 그 상관성을 고찰한다. 작가와 독자 간의 소통으로 이루어지는 예술 작품을 해명하는 데 있어서 색채의 역할은, 예술가의 경험과 투과된 자신의 정서와 생각, 감정 등이 동반되어 작품 안에서 비로소 시각 기호로 사유된다. 이는 색채가 예술작품 안에서 인지 가능한 공간으로 형성될 때 기호의 의미작용을 통해 시각 언어로 해석될 수 있다. 따라서 시각예술을 연구하는데 있어서 본 색채기호 분석이 보다 새로운 텍스트로 거듭나고 향후 효과적인 커뮤니케이션으로 확대되기를 기대해본다.

본 연구는 형태와 색채의 상관관계를 중요시한 칸딘스키(W. Kandinsky)의 작품을 미술치료의 관점에서 분석하였다. 작품분석과 관련된 대부분의 논문들은 미학적 접근에서 연구되고 있으며, 미술치료관점에서의 분석은 이루어지고 있지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구는 이제까지 행해져 온 미술치료의 연구에 하나의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 하며, 그 가능성에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 시각언어를 표현하는 색채, 형태와 인간의 심리적인 상호관계를 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 색채심리 및 Gestalt이론, 지각심리학적 접근을 통한 미술치료방법의 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 인간의 색채심리와 형태심리에 근거하여 어린이의 건강한 정서적 성장을 위한 일러스트레이션의 개발과 아동교육프로그램 및 놀이교구개발 등에 응용하는 것이 본 연구의 최종목적이다. 그 선행연구로 미술치료모델로서 칸딘스키의 작품 '원 속의 원(CERCLES DANS CERCLE)'을 칸딘스키의 이론적 입장과 미술치료입장에서 분석해 보았다. 이를 통하여 인간정서에 긍정적인 역할과 정서순화를 목적으로 하는 하나의 새로운 미술 치료모델자료로서 활용하고자 한다.

The main purpose of this research is to develop a program supporting landscape planting design on AutoCAD basis using AutoLISP and DCL language. Current CAD use in landscape architecture field is mainly focused on customizing plant symbols for supporting two dimensional drafting rather than three dimensional consideration. This program is composed of eight module a such as PLANT module for inserting plant symbols, LABEL module for labeling task, SIMULATION module for simulating plant growth and seasonal color variation, TABLE module for generating plant table automatically, BUILDING module, BLOCK module, UTILITY module for deleting, transforming, shading symbols and DB MANAGER module for manipulating data. Design automation ability using automatic object recognition technique in this program allows AutoCAD to be used as a design tool in addition to its main role as a drafting tool through supporting landscape designers to generate many alternatives in the early phase of design.

The meaning of the space planning which has from modern interior space has played important role, space composition planning itself is the concept creation tool as well as the unique expression sphere in field of interior space far away from fixed idea relevant to the existing space which was only simple division or secondary element in design. Thus, this current work expresses that the space-Function is related with space-division as well as basic designed-conceptual work process including the space is formed. Furthermore, through the side-composition with form, it activates the various space aspect perceptually, which created the visual environment in using lightning, reflection of glass and penetrated nature etc. The keyword on elevation design concept is as like various aspects, third dimension, non-materiality and symbolical meaning. In addition, it provides the color space equipped with functionality and artistry capable to arouse the diverse sensual capacity to space users on default of image language.

통계자료분석에서 그래픽에 의한 분석방법은 컴퓨터의 급속한 발전과 더불어 많은 기법이 개발되어 왔으며, 이는 자료에 내포된 정보 및 통계적인 모형선택방법에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다. 개인용 컴퓨터에서 그래픽 자료 분석방법에 다양하게 응용될 수 있는 소프트웨어로서 S-PLUS(version 2.0)를 소개하고, 그래픽기능의 관점에서 SAS/GRAPH(version 6.04)와 비교, 논의하고자 한다.

Automatic pattern recognition using computers has manu potential applications. In many cases successful automatic pattern recognition procedures require an analysis of texture of a picture by a conventional digital computer: but this involves a type af computing that is at the present time extremely time-consuming and thus very expensive. In response to this situation, TEXAC was designed and built which is capable of most whole picture operations at a rapid television rate of 1/30th of a second. The results of operations are displayed continuously on color and black-and-white television monitors. The paper presents the architecture of the TEXAC, the picture processing language developed and some of the results of TEXAC whole picture operations.

KUIC_LED II is a two dimensional graphics editor for IC mask layout which breaks through the memory limit, maximum number of box is 2333, with overlay. It runs on IBM PC/AT with the ${\Omega}$/PC color graphics board. I/O data format is CIF(Caltech Intermediate Form). It is written, In 'C' language on MS_DOS.

The purpose of this study is to explore sorts and roles of Afro-American music genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, and swing which were shown in post-structural Afro-American literary works: Toni Morrison's novel Jazz, Alice Walker's novel The Color Purple, and August Wilson's play The Piano Lesson. It has been phenomenal for several important Afro-American writers to create their works in which they invite traditional Afro-American music genres. This has made significant effects to depict a wide range of episodes in their works, which are historically and culturally associated with such music genres. This paper analyzes varied ways in which the writers combine these two artistic fields, which are all Afro-American, and express their authenticity and identity as being blackness.

명함을 이용한 전세계적인 고객 관리 시스템을 구축하기 위해 다국어 명함인식기를 개발하였다. 먼저 다양한 언어의 문자인식 및 학습을 위해 Unicode 기반 문자 이미지 DB를 구축하였으며, 다양한 입력 장치를 통해 획득한 명함 영상에 대하여 정확한 데이터를 얻기 위한 다양한 컬러영상 처리 기술이 적용되었다. 다음에 다층 퍼셉트론 신경망, 언어 유형별 개별 문자인식, 각 언어별 명함에 사용된 필드별 키워드 DB를 이용한 후처리를 적용하여 명함 인식률을 향상시켰다.
