If you compare recent works in small commercial places along with the terms such as Post-Modernism, Late-Modernism, and Dismantling, to those of 60's and 70's, you will discover for sure that recent works try to model individually with 'surface'. Expressing the responses to the multilateral cultural desires is available through the organization of surface, so are the re-presentationsof classic notions by adding decorations to the vertical walls, which are different from modern constructions that have persisted on only space itself as a main point. These trends are various organizing techniques with forms, decorations, materials, color etc. and made the surface modeling develop. What a 'surface element' means as a concrete notion in a design process in a commercial place is enormous. So, it implies lots of notions and logic, and can be a strong message-conveying means as well as an expressional language. At this point of view, the research was limited to Facade, which is treated as a creational object to a designer all the time in order to study what kind of system the surface organization has in a small commercial place. This is to find out what kind of system the designer uses to make the spatial images, orders and forms through surface, but ultimately it is to discover the designer's basic tecniques that he or she uses when planning. To sum up, we have studied the meanings of the composition and the changes of the organization of Facade to analyze the organizing techniques in Pasad in a small commercial construction which designers planned as material. We have also investigated the organizing techniques of surface by examining and analyzing the elements of Facade organizing techniques, i.e. its form, decoration, material, pattern and color.
The purpose of this study is to identify the ritual dress used by the 12 religious bodies of Dankun followers to help understand the teachings of these currently operating religious groups in Korea. The findings from the survey and related literatures are used to analyze the characteristics of these ritual dresses in terms of their items, construction, form, and color. The results of the study are as follows: first, most of the religious groups of Dankun followers have established the code for ritual dresses and they are named as 'chaebok'(제복, sacrificial robes), 'yebok'(예복, ceremonial dress), 'chungbok'(정복, formal attire), 'pubbok'(법복, Buddhist formal dress), or 'tobok'(도복, Taoist garments). The official headgear is usually named as 'chaemo'(제모), 'soogun'(수건), 'moja'(모자), or 'yoogun'(유건, 儒巾). Though, there are some groups which do not use any specific names for headgear. Second, the ritual dresses of most groups are composed of the 'hanbok'(한복,韓服) or usual Western-style dress, a traditional outer wear, 'po'(포,袍), and a headgear, as a basic attire. Third, the traditional 'hanbok' is worn as a base garment and an outer wear is worn above. The different types of outer wear are used: mostly 'chaksu jueui jikyoun po'(착수주의직령포, 窄袖周衣直領袍) for men and 'kwangsu jikyoung po'(광수직령포, 廣袖直領袍) and other various styles for women. The headgear from the ancient times are worn by both men and women. Fourth, the most frequently-used color for ritual dress is white for both men and women's dress. The colors from the Yin and Yang ideology are also used in the ritual dresses. Finally, the kinds of materials are not considered as an important element for the ritual dresses.
In this paper, we propose an automatic extraction model for unknown translations and implement an unknown translation extraction system using the proposed model. The proposed model as a phrase-alignment model is incorporated with three models: a phrase-boundary model, a language model, and a translation model. Using the proposed model we implement the system for extracting unknown translations, which consists of three parts: construction of parallel corpora, alignment of Korean and English words, extraction of unknown translations. To evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we have established the reference corpus for extracting unknown translation, which comprises of 2,220 parallel sentences including about 1,500 unknown translations. Through several experiments, we have observed that the proposed model is very useful for extracting unknown translations. In the future, researches on objective evaluation and establishment of parallel corpora with good quality should be performed and studies on improving the performance of unknown translation extraction should be kept up.

This paper presents a learning-based approach for the construction of license Plate recognition system. The system consist of three modules. They are respectively, car detection module, license plate recognition module and recognition module. Car detection module detects a car in the given image sequence obtained from the camera with simple color-based approach. Segmentation module extracts the license plate in detect car image using neural network as filters for analyzing the color and texture properties of license plate. Recognition module then reads characters in detected license plate with support vector machine (SVM)-based characters recognizer. The system has been tested from parking lot and tollgate, etc. and have show the following performances on average: Car detect rate 100%, segmentation rate 97.5%, and character recognition rate about 97.2%. Overall system performances is 94.7% and processing time is one sec. Then our propose system does well using real world.
This study aims to comparatively analyze the characteristics of light expression shown in the exhibition spaces of architects Richard Meier and Kuma Kengo, who constructed the element of invisible light into visible forms within space, using diverse techniques and components. As for the methodology therefor, it was attempted to conduct theoretical consideration of light, to experience the spaces of light by producing diverse spaces with architectural space components, that is, space, form, material, structure, and color, and to find out what space characteristics are perceived by perceivers from the interaction of the components. As for the research scope, this study intended to identify the concepts and characteristics of light and compare light in spaces, focusing on works of Richard Meier who constructed functional and mechanical spaces based on Le Corbusier's architectural language in the West and works of Kuma Kengo who claimed regionalism architecture in the East. In particular, this study intended to comparatively analyze the methods of using materials according to the filtering of light that appears different between the two architects in case that light enters into their exhibition spaces, and the effects of light production that arise from the differences, thereby pointing out the characteristics of diverse light expressions within the spaces of modern architecture. On this, this study investigated methodological differences of the two architects, who are based on East and West thoughts, in expressing light in spaces in various forms through brightness and darkness, light transmission and shadows appearing according to the nature of light, and color and materials. It is hoped that this study will provide an opportunity for promoting better understanding about other architectural cultures as well as understanding the characteristics of light in exhibition spaces.
Three pieces of cotton fabrics used for this study were exhumed in the Mt.Moo Deung near Kwang Ju in 1965. The fabrics were remains of Jang Heung Lim Si-the nephew's wife of General Kim Deok Ryeong. It was reported that Jang Heung Lim Si died in 1615. The cotton fabrics were classified into three, A, B and C, according to their color. The fabric A was inherent color of cotton, the fabric B was that of light brown and the fabric C was that of dark brown. The physical and chemical characteristics of the cotton fabrics were examined. In the meantime the construction of cotton fabrics and traditional dyeing of Yi dynasty were studied through various records. The results were as follows: 1. According to electromicroscopic examination, the lumen in the cotton fiber had not been developed enough, therefore the quality of cotton at that time was supposed to be not so excellent. 2. The results of chemical analysis indicated that: (1) While the copper number of the cotton fabric A was similar to that of bleached cotton, that of the fabric C was extremely high. (2) The amount of methylene blue absorption was much more than that of normal cotton. (3) The content of cellulose was less than that of normal cotton. (4) The degree of polymerization was less than that of normal cotton. From the results mentioned above, it was concluded that the cotton fabrics were oxidized slowly in the closed lime coffin for a long period of time. From this process of oxidization and deterioration, the degree of polymerization was decreased through depolymerization, and carboxyl groups were produced by the oxidization at reducing end groups. 3. It was confirmed that the cotton fabric C was dyed by the juice of immature persimmon. Thus, it was inferred that the large amount of copper number of cotton fabric C was derived from phenolic OH groups of tannins having high reducing properties in persimmon.
Animation is a popular art in the form of enlightenment that intimately approaches people of various ages and makes them reconsider the social problems they have ignored. Therefore, this paper analyzes how the character setting and formative symbolism in "The Willoughbys" raise awareness of social agendas. The previous studies found that the modern society needs to be aware of child abuse and various types of family, and examined that color and formativeness of animation induce psychological and behavior change from the audience. The work shows emotional abuse and neglect as characters, and presents the subdivided form of the family. The rainbow symbolizes diverse family members. The agents with visual characteristics express the modern principle-based secondary perpetrator along with apathetic neighbors to urge a change in audience perception. This paper insists the value of animation when it is essential to raise public awareness prior to the construction of a welfare society and support system.

The purpose of this study is to develop 3D pattern textile design of traditional Jogakbo motifs and fashion products using it. As a research method, first, through literature review, the three-dimensional representation of geometry on a plane with Jogakbo, design cases were examined. Second, through a survey, the purchase perception and design preference of Jogakbo cultural products was analyzed. Third, based on the results of the survey on color and print, the 3D pattern design for each type of Jogakbo is printed, and then textile fashion cultural products were developed. The results of this study are as follows. First, the reason why the public was not attracted to the purchase of cultural products was disatisfaction with practicality, unsuitable preference, price adequacy, aesthetics, and originality. Therefore, it was analyzed that quality, practicality, price, carry-on storage harmony and manageability, as well as aesthetic design were important factors for consumers. Second, the stereoscopic space on the plane expanded the two-dimensional plane space by forming a cube through the division and dissolution of geometry could be visualized using color expression of cubes of different brightness depending on the direction of light. Third, Jogakbo had eight types consisting of four detailed forms and three arrangement methods. The 3D pattern design could be developed through regular disolution and stereoscopic construction using Jogakbo's representative images for each type. In addition, it was found that it was easy to produce Jogakbo fashion products suitable for modern people through 3D pattern digital textile printing applying traditional colors.

Mutation breeding is useful for improving agronomic characteristics of various crops. In this study, we constructed soybean Mutant Diversity Pool (MDP) from 1,695 gamma-irradiated mutants through two selection phases over M1 to M12 generations; we selected 523 mutant lines exhibiting at least 30% superior agricultural characteristics, and, second, we eliminated redundant morphological phenotypes in the M12 generation. Finally, we constructed 208 MDP lines and investigated 11 agronomic traits. We then assessed the genetic diversity and inter-relationships of these MDP lines using target region amplification polymorphism (TRAP) markers. Among the different TRAP primer combinations, polymorphism levels and PIC values averaged 59.71% and 0.15, respectively. Dendrogram and population structure analyses divided the MDP lines into four major groups. According to an analysis of AMOVA, the percentage of inter-population variation among mutants was 11.320 (20.6%), whereas mutant inter-population variation ranged from 0.231 (0.4%) to 14.324 (26.1%). Overall, the genetic similarity of each cultivar and its mutants were higher than within other mutant populations. In an analysis of the genome-wide association study (GWAS) using based on the genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS), we detected 66 SNPs located on 13 different chromosomes were found to be highly associated with four agronomic traits: days of flowering (33 SNPs), flower color (16 SNPs), node number (6 SNPs), and seed coat color (11 SNPs). These results are consistent with those previously reported for other genetic resource populations, including natural accessions and recombinant inbred line. Our observations suggest that genomic changes in mutant individuals induced by gamma rays occurred at the same loci as those of natural soybean population. This study has demonstrated that the integration of GBS and GWAS can serve as a powerful complementary approach to gamma-ray mutation for the dissection of complex traits in soybean.

Recently, there are many structures exposed to severe outdoor environments, which results in rapid degradation of durability of the concrete structures. there can be rapid deterioration of the concrete structures from early frost damage due to the insufficient curing in low outdoor temperature condition. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of thickness change conditions and binding material on early frost damage depth of the concrete exposed to cold weather in winter, and is to clearly assess damage depth of the concrete structure due to early frost damage. Specimens with 300x300x(150, 200, 250, 300mm) were prepared. OPC and OPC+FA+BS were adopted for binders. Test results indicate that the depth of the early frost damage was deeper with the decrease of thickness of members. The brightness of specimens were reduced when the member thickness was thinner. When determining the depth of early frost damage, it can be distinguished into dark color and relatively bright color when dried for approximately 30 minutes in the indoors of $20^{\circ}C$ in temperature and 60% in relative humidity after submerging in water for 24 hours. The dark colored part can be determined easily when measured with vernier calipers.
