Antiulcer Activity of Sida acuta Burm.

  • The ethanol extract of Sida acuta Burm. (ALSA) whole plant was studied for its anti-ulcer activity against aspirin plus pylorous ligation induced gastric ulcer, HCl-ethanol induced ulcer, and water immersion stress induced ulcer (WISIU) in rats. We found that ALSA at a dose of 300 mg/kg, (orally) markedly decrease the incidence of ulcers in the first two models. ALSA showed reduction in gastric volume, free acidity, and ulcer index (53.69%). It has not reduced the total acidity significantly and no significant change in pH. It also showed 55.14% gastro protective activity, wheres standard drug sucralfate showed 94.85%. WISIU showed protection index 24.4%, whereas standard drug omeprazole (OMEZ) showed protection index 100%.

고해와 수침시간이 섬유의 팽윤과 종이 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Beating and Water Impregnation on Fiber Swelling and Paper Properties)

  • Effects of beating and water immersion time on fiber swelling and paper properties were elucidated for the fundamental study of producing high bulk paper. Chemical pulps were beaten for various freeness and the beaten pulp was immersed in water up to 24 hours. Fiber swelling was evaluated by measuring water retention value (WRV). It was found that fiber swelling, bulk and paper strength were quickly changed at the initial stage of beating. Immersion in water did not significantly increase WRV, paper density and strength, implying that soaking in water alone could not effectively swell fiber wall. In order to swell further, hydrogen bonds between fibrils in fiber wall and hence fiber wall structure shall be broken by mechanical force during beating.

  • Polyethersulfone (PES) and cellulose acetate (CA) ultrafiltration (UF) membranes having different molecular weight cut-off values were prepared by immersion precipitation method by changing the compositions of easting solution. Egg white solution was concentrated to volume concentration ratio 4 in tubular UF with membranes made of moderately hydrophobic PES and hydrophilic CA. The process Parameters such as pressure and fluid velocity were controlled in order to apply successfully for egg white solution and to investigate the pressure dependency. The resistance values were measured to investigate the fouling and concentration polarization effect on membrane performance. During concen- tration of egg white solution by UF, the fouling layer appeared to contribute little resistance to flux compared to that of polarized layer.

Effect of Blood Contamination on Vickers Microhardness and Surface Morphology of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate

  • This study aimed to investigate the effects of blood contamination on the Vickers hardness and the surface morphology of premixed MTA and compare them with the effects on conventional MTA. The Vickers microhardness of Endocem MTA Premixed Regular (EP) and ProRoot MTA (PM) was assessed after immersion in fetal bovine serum (FBS) and saline. Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) were seeded on MTA after immersion in FBS, saline, and deionized water (DW). Cell adhesion patterns and surface morphology were visualized via scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The surface microhardness of EP and PM in FBS was lower than in saline. However, short-term exposure of PM to FBS did not reduce the microhardness compared to saline. Angular crystals formed in water, while rounded crystals with more air voids appeared in FBS. Favorable SHED attachment occurred in all groups. Overall, the surface hardness of EP and PM decreased after FBS exposure, although PM was less influenced. We suggest minimizing the amount of bleeding when using MTA clinically; nevertheless, PM remains an option with more expected blood contamination than EP. In summary, exposure to FBS decreased mechanical performance but allowed cell adhesion for both MTAs, with PM being more resistant to these changes.

  • 일반소독제로 광범위하게 사용되는 NaOCl을 종자소독제로써 이용할 수 있는 방안을 확립하고자 종자전염에 의한 병해 발생이 많은 볍씨와 채소종자를 대상으로 소독 효과를 조사하였던 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. NaOCl의 참깨 종자 소독 효과를 조사하였던 바 NaOCl의 농도가 높을 수록 그리고 침지시간이 길수록 종자 소독 효과가 뚜렷 하였으나 종자 발아 장해를 일으켰다. 종자발아율을 높이며 소독효과가 우수한 종자 처리 방법은 NaOCl 1-2%에서 10분간 침지하는 것이었고, 벼 종자소독 효과는 NaOCl 농도 1-2%에서 침지시간을 30분 이내로 하는 것이 좋았다. 2. 무, 배추 종자 소독 효과를 조사하였던 바 NaOCl 농도 1%에서 10분간 침지할 경우 각종 Alternaria균의 검출율을 현저히 저하시켰고, 고추종자에서는 NaOCl 농도 1%에서 10분간 침지할 경우 각종 탄저병균의 검출율을 현저히 저하시켰다. 3. 종자전염성 진균에 대한 NaOCl의 소독 효과는 종자소독제인 Benlate T에 비하여 참깨종자에서는 우수하게 나타났고, 볍씨에서는 비슷하였다. 그러나 NaOCl은 처리농도가 높고 시간이 긴 경우에는 발아장해를 초래하였다.

대학수업에서 교수의 이미지메이킹이 학습자의 수업만족 및 수업몰입에 미치는 영향 (The effect of professor's image-making on college student's class satisfaction and class commitment)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of the professor's image making (internal, external, social image) perceived by college students on instructional outcomes. The influence of the professor's image making on class satisfaction and class commitment was analyzed, and the mediating effect of class satisfaction and the relationship between class satisfaction and class commitment in the relationship between image making and class commitment was considered. First, it was found that the external image and social image of the professor had a significant effect on class satisfaction. The level of interpersonal relations, such as communication, manners, manners, and intimacy as well as the management of external expressions, clothing style, makeup, hair, gestures, postures, attitudes, voices, speech, and speech speed brings satisfaction to the class. Second, it was found that the professor's inner image, outer image, and social image had a significant effect on class commitment. In order to satisfy the students' immersion in class, professors are required to manage internal, external, and social images. Third, it was found that class satisfaction had a significant effect on class commitment. If the class satisfaction is high, it means that class immersion also increases. Fourth, as for the social image of a professor, it was found that class satisfaction had a completely mediating effect in the relationship between class commitment, and the external image of a professor was found to have a partial mediating effect in class satisfaction in the relationship between class commitment. It was found that the social image of professors perceived by college students improve class satisfaction, and this improves class satisfaction further enhances class immersion.

침수후 시간에 따른 교정용 레진접착제의 전단결합강도 변화 (A Change of Shear Bond Strength of Orthodontic Resin Adhesives under Water Immersion)

  • 본 연구는 침수후 시간경과에 따른 교정용 레진접착제의 전단결합강도 변화를 비교연구하고 파절양상을 평가하기 위하여 시행되었다. 건전한 제1소구치를 포매하여 만든 시편에 화학중합형 레진접착제인 $Concise^{\circledR}$와 광중합형 레진접착제인 $Transbond^{\circledR}$를 이용하여 금속 브라켓을 부착하고 $37^{\circ}C$ 증류수에 1일, 1주일, 1개월, 3개월, 6개월 동안 침수시킨 후 전단결합강도를 측정하고 파절양상을 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 침수시간에 따른 전단결합강도 비교시 Concise군과 Transbond군 모두에서 6개월의 결합강도가 1일, 1주, 1개월에 비해 유의성있게 높았으며(p<0.05) 상관검정 결과 침수시간이 증가할수록 전단결합강도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 2. Concise군과 Transbond군간의 전단결합강도 비교에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 접착제 잔류지수를 통하여 파절양상을 비교 관찰한 결과 브라켓 기저부와 접착제 경계부에서의 탈락이 가장 많았으며 침수시간에 따른 접착제 잔류지수간에 유의한 차이는 없었다.

모바일 개인방송 시청 요인 분석: HMSAM 모델을 중심으로 (Analysis on the Viewing Intention of Mobile Personal Broadcasting by using Hedonic-Motivation System Adoption Model)

  • 모바일 기술과 비디오 스트리밍 기술이 발달하고 미디어 플랫폼이 다변화 되면서 '페이스북 라이브', '아프리카 TV'와 같은 모바일 개인방송은 기존 IT 시스템과는 다른 수용 패턴을 보이고 있다. 모바일 개인방송 시청 요인에는 오락적 동기가 가장 큰 비중을 차지하므로 기존의 외재적, 생산적 동기 중심의 시스템 수용 이론으로는 연구의 한계가 있다고 판단하였다. 이에 본 연구는 오락적 동기 시스템 수용 분석에 특화된 HMSAM(Hedonic-Motivation System Adoption Model)을 이론적 틀로 활용하여 모바일 개인방송 시청자의 수용 요인에 어떠한 오락적 동기가 작용하는지 실증적으로 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 변인에는 즐거움(Joy), 시간 흐름 미인지(Temporal Dissociation), 현실도피감(Escapism), 몰입(Focused Immersion)과 같은 내재적 동기가 포함되었다. 또한 인지된 사용 용이성(Perceived Ease of Use), 인지된 유용성(Perceived Usefulness), 시청 의도(Intention to Watch) 변인도 포함되었다. 연구 분석은 Multi-indicator 모형의 구조방정식을 통하여 변수들 간의 인과관계와 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 모바일 개인방송 시청의 즐거움은 시간 흐름 미인지, 현실도피감, 인지된 사용 용이성과 긍정적(+)인 관계를 맺고, 시청의도와 몰입에도 긍정적(+)인 영향을 주었다. 현실도피감 역시 몰입에 긍정적(+)인 영향을 주었다. 본 연구는 오락적 동기 시스템 수용에 대한 최신 연구인 HMSAM 모델을 이론적 틀로 활용하여 모바일 개인방송 시청 요인들을 새롭게 분석하였다는 점에 의의가 있다. 향후 재미와 오락의 개념을 더 세분화하고, 미디어의 능동적 수용과 수동적 수용을 추가적으로 살펴본다면 더욱 발전된 후속 연구가 진행될 수 있을 것이다.

비절삭저항 상수 변화에 따른 절삭력 분석 (An analysis of cutting force according to specific force coefficients)

  • Considering the run-out effect and cutting force coefficients, the cutting force profile of half immersion end-milling was analyzed in detail. The effects of three specific cutting-force coefficients and three edge-force coefficients are verified. Through a detailed investigation, it is proved that the radial cutting force coefficients and are the major factors which increase the cutting forces Fx and Fy in end-milling. However, the axial cutting force coefficients have no influence on the force Fx and Fy changes in end-milling. Also, the analyzed end-milling force model shows good consistency with the actual measured force with regard to Fx and Fy. Thus, this model can be used for the prediction of the force history in end-milling with run-out, and it incurs a different force history with different start and exit immersion angles as well as holding effects.
