  • To cope with the rapid changes in the corporate environment, the creation of innovative output through various forms of collaboration have been discussed. For open collaborations, contributors who distribute to various countries and cultures are able to share knowledge via the internet without physical rewards or responsibilities. In this study, we focused on the open source software project, which is a representative open collaboration. We investigated the factors that affect the knowledge contribution of developers of various countries within the open collaboration platform. Specifically, we investigated the open collaborative nature of multi-culture developers by dividing cultures according to collectivism and individualism. We collected data on 26,604 developers using a python based web crawler for GitHub which is an open source software development platform, and conducted cross-cultural study. This paper contributes to the field of knowledge management by suggesting various impacts of antecedents such as hireability, and information exposure on knowledge sharing according to culture.

  • Increasing product variety based on product family and product platform provides a company with a competitive advantage over its competitors. As products become more complex, short-life cycled and customized, the design efforts require more knowledge-intensive, collaborative and coordinating efforts for information sharing. By sharing knowledge, information, component and process across different families of products, the product realization process will be more efficient, cost-effective and quick-responsive. Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is used for analyzing data and forming semantic structures that are formal abstractions of concepts of human thoughts. A Web Ontology Language (OWL) is designed for applications that need to process the content of information instead of simply presenting information to humans. OWL also captures the evolution of different components of the product family. The purpose of this paper is to develop product variety modeling to increase the usefulness of common platform. In constructing and analyzing product ontology, FCA is adopted for conceptual knowledge processing. For the selected product family, product variety Ontology is constructed and implemented using prot$\'{e}$g$\'{e}$-2000.

  • The domestic fashion industry is not able to exceed the level of fashion that exists in advanced countries due to the relatively weak design competitiveness and the differentiated capability of product development. In order for the domestic fashion industry to become a growth industry that is valued in the world market of infinite competition, a step-by-step support system that can demonstrate and maintain the creative ability of designers is needed. Therefore, this study proposes a template - based 3D virtual fashion technology and a digital fashion platform based on it. The proposed template - based 3D virtual fashion technology is designed to clearly communicate the intention of designers and to be able to instantaneously view the results, thereby reducing the time and cost of producing prototypes. In addition, the digital fashion platform based on the template is designed as a collaborative platform based on idea sharing, which dramatically improves the process of confirming the prototype and initiating the product planning and manufacturing stages. This new technology can contributes to the formation of a business environment and a new area within the existing fashion industry and can be utilized for the development of the fashion industry in the future.

  • A framework for multi-platform analytical and multi-component hybrid (testing-analysis) simulations is described in this paper and illustrated with several application examples. The framework allows the integration of various analytical platforms and geographically distributed experimental facilities into a comprehensive pseudo-dynamic hybrid simulation. The object-oriented architecture of the framework enables easy inclusion of new analysis platforms or experimental models, and the addition of a multitude of auxiliary components, such as data acquisition and camera control. Four application examples are given, namely; (i) multi-platform analysis of a bridge with soil and structural models, (ii) multiplatform, multi-resolution analysis of a high-rise building, (iii) three-site small scale frame hybrid simulation, and (iv) three-site large scale bridge hybrid simulation. These simulations serve as illustrative examples of collaborative research among geographically distributed researchers employing different analysis platforms and testing equipment. The versatility of the framework, ease of including additional modules and the wide application potential demonstrated in the paper provide a rich research environment for structural and geotechnical engineering.

  • Movie stories can be retrieved efficiently by analyzing a script, which is a blueprint of the movie. Although the movie script is described in the formatted structure of Final Draft, it is hard to restore the type without analyzing the story of the sentences since the scripts open on the website are mostly broken. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop and provide the web-based script analysis software so that users collaboratively and freely check and correct the errors in the results after automatically parsing the script. Hence, in this paper we suggest the structure of the web-based collaborative script analysis platform that enables users to modify and filter the type error of the script for high level of film data accumulation and performance evaluation for the implementation results is conducted. Through the experiment, accuracy of automatically parsing appears to be 64.95% and performance of modification by collaboration showed 99.58% of accuracy of parsing with errors mostly corrected after passing through 5 steps of modification.

  • With the development of broadcasting technology from analogue to interactive digital, the number of TV channels and TV contents provided to audiences is increasing in a rapid speed. In this multi-channel world, it is difficult to adapt to the increase of the TV channel numbers and their contents merely using remote controller to search channels. For these reasons, the EPG system, one of the essential services providing convenience to audiences, is proposed in this paper. Collaborative filtering method with multi-step filtering is used in EPG to recommend contents according to the preference of audience groups with similar preference. To implement our designed TV contents recommendation EPG, we prefer DiTV and use JavaXlet programming based on MHP. The European DVB-MHP specification will be also our domestic standard in DiTV. Finally, the result is verified by OpenMHP emulator.

  • Due to the development of new digital technologies in recent years, consumers play different roles with compared to the past. Though they used to consume various existing contents, nowadays they have opportunities to use in user-friendly environment which can make them create and share their own contents. Under this circumstance, the digital storytelling has become a big issue in large area, and the web-based contents have been produced with diverse contests. In fact, the digital storytelling means a kind of storytelling method which is made by digital technologies and has been created under various circumstances. However, many researches concern that the digital storytelling is just applied for moving from analog to digital in terms of a tool, but in the reality it is far from the web 2.0 with collective intelligence. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a web-based collaborative digital storytelling platform that analysis user's action processes and components applying collective intelligence.
