  • Not many years ago, people found the contemporary technology expensive and difficult to use in collaborative type of meetings. Today, with the technology advanced to high standards and accessible at cheaper price, its adaption is becoming more and more ubiquitous with wide range of applications. Today's meeting rooms are not just plain old telephone systems with microphones and speakers. Today's meeting rooms are smart and intelligent. They can identify the participants; they can provide natural view of remote participants; they can proactively manage resources for collaboration and so on. More effective collaboration is possible with deployment of devices like high-definition cameras, advanced displays, sensors, gigabit networks, trackers, pointers, and high-end audio devices. Devices alone are not enough in the meeting rooms. We need software infrastructure to manage the devices and meeting contexts. One such software infrastructure is SMeet, a Smart Meeting space, which we have developed to provide an effective multi-party remote collaboration environment. Networked display systems are used in such advanced collaboration environment for better visualization. In this paper we discuss a novel approach to control and manage networked display systems in SMeet environment.

본 논문에서는 IoT 디바이스의 리소스를 통합해 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 인프라의 구축 및 운영을 위한 스킴 IDRIS(IoT device's Resource Integration Scheme)를 제안한다.

  • A virtual engine test based on "Numerical test cell" can extremely reduce the time and cost for the development of a hardware by coupling multidisciplinary analysis. This paper introduces the development activities of full engine simulation programs in U.S.A. and Europe, with the their related techniques(the engineering models, the simulation environment and high performance computing) based on the NPSS(Numerical Propulsion System Simulation). NASA Glenn research conte. leads the development efforts of NPSS by assembling the current codes and improving their Auctions. VIVACE(Value Improvement through a Virtual Aeronautical Collaborative Enterprise), a consortium of universities, research centers and companies in Europe, is developing the PROOSIS(PRopulsion Object Oriented Simulation Software). The capability for the domestic development is also estimated by surveying the current status.

  • Since users can experience new type of experiment system using augmentation technology and its data visibility, it is a media that is suited to educational purpose application. This paper developed an augmentation-based experimentation that excludes risks and ehnances immersion in chemical experiment. This virtual chemistry experiment system utilizes users' hands to control 3D objects in experiment through interface that interacts virtual objects without markers that are the cause of losing immersion in existing augmentation system. To maximize immersion effect, we propose a virtual chemistry experiment system that enables collaborative work.

  • The current behavior recognition system don't match data formats between sensor data measured by user's sensor module or device. Therefore, it is necessary to support data processing, sharing and collaboration services between users and behavior recognition system in order to process sensor data of a large capacity, which is another formats. It is also necessary for real time interaction with users and behavior recognition system. To solve this problem, we propose fog cloud based behavior recognition system for human body sensor data processing. Fog cloud based behavior recognition system solve data standard formats in DbaaS (Database as a System) cloud by servicing fog cloud to solve heterogeneity of sensor data measured in user's sensor module or device. In addition, by placing fog cloud between users and cloud, proximity between users and servers is increased, allowing for real time interaction. Based on this, we propose behavior recognition system for user's behavior recognition and service to observers in collaborative environment. Based on the proposed system, it solves the problem of servers overload due to large sensor data and the inability of real time interaction due to non-proximity between users and servers. This shows the process of delivering behavior recognition services that are consistent and capable of real time interaction.

  • Contemporary workspace is configured in various manners according to working patterns, collaborative or independent nature of works, group-wise working styles and culture, the size of the group, and so on. On the other hand, conventional office space has tended to be a monolithic single space packed with various types of works. This change reflects what has happened to the meanings and structures of office space. The ubiquitous computing technique is being applied to the development of the intelligent office as it grows. This leads to the change of intelligent office technology which provides user-oriented spatial service. This paper focuses on the conceptualization and design of service scenarios or the intelligent office based on the user-oriented spatial service paradigm.

  • In this paper, we describes the information-theoretic approaches to sensor selection and sensor placement in sensor networks for target localization and tracking. We have developed a sensor selection heuristic to activate the most informative candidate sensor for collaborative target localization and tracking. The fusion of the observation by the selected sensor with the prior target location distribution yields nearly the greatest reduction of the entropy of the expected posterior target location distribution. Our sensor selection heuristic is computationally less complex and thus more suitable to sensor networks with moderate computing power than the mutual information sensor selection criteria. We have also developed a method to compute the posterior target location distribution with the minimum entropy that could be achieved by the fusion of observations of the sensor network with a given deployment geometry. We have found that the covariance matrix of the posterior target location distribution with the minimum entropy is consistent with the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRB) of the target location estimate. Using the minimum entropy of the posterior target location distribution, we have characterized the effect of the sensor placement geometry on the localization accuracy.

  • As eTransformation and collaborative eCommerce have been on the rise, business processes between business partners are increasingly recognized as important assets that need to be integrated. These trends imply more complex and dynamic business processes should be considered in order to integrate related business organizations and business units. Moreover, these business processes are widely distributed across stakeholders. Therefore, there is a need for business process modeling that is usable, flexible and capable of integrating systems consistently across businesses and technology barriers. In this paper, a business process modeling methodology is introduced, which is based on topdo\W and model-driven approach utilizing OMG's MDA(Model-Driven Architecture) and UML profile for EDOC(Enterprise Distributed Object Computing). This provides the ability to model business process at all levels simultaneously, to combine business process models retaining their meaning, to use business process design patterns constraining the behavior of sub-processes, and to derive specific codes from a stable model as the underlying infrastructure shifts over time. In addition, we suggest some modifications of the meta-model for EDOC-Business Process Profile by adding new features in order to model business processes rigidly. This paper illustrates some examples of business process modeling and compares them with UML diagrams and IDEF models. The proposed methodology is implemented to develop a business process modeling tool.

  • The hinge joint is the key to the overall cooperative working performance of the assembled beam bridge, and it is also the weakest part during the service period. This paper proposes a method for monitoring and evaluating the lateral cooperative working performance of fabricated beam bridges based on dynamic strain correlation coefficient indicator. This method is suitable for monitoring and evaluation of hinge joints status between prefabricated girders and overall cooperative working performance of bridge, without interruption of traffic and easy implementation. The remote cloud monitoring and diagnosis system was designed and implemented on a real assembled beam bridge. The algorithms of data preprocessing, online indicator extraction and status diagnosis were given, and the corresponding software platform and scientific computing environment for cloud operation were developed. Through the analysis of real bridge monitoring data, the effectiveness and accuracy of the method are proved and it can be used in the health monitoring system of such bridges.
