생각하는 과학 프로그램이 초등학생들의 인지발달 가속과 인지과정 기능의 발달에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Thinking Science Program on the Cognitive Acceleration and Cognitive Processing Skills of the Elementary School Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 생각하는 과학 프로그램이 초등학교 학생들의 인지발달 가속과 인지과정 기능의 발달에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이었다. 이 연구에는 초등학교 5학년 305명이 참여하였으며, 연구 대상을 실험 집단과 통제집단으로 나눈 후 실험집단에게는 2년동안 생각하는 과학 프로그램을 처치하였다. 연구 결과, 생각하는 과학 프로그램에 의한 초등학생의 인지발달 가속 효과는 있었다. 그리고 성별에 따른 인지발달 가속 효과를 살펴본 결과 여학생에게만 효과가 있었다. 또한 생각하는 과학 프로그램은 초등학생의 인지과정 기능의 발달에도 효과가 있었고, 인지과정 기능 영역별로 살펴본 결과 주의와 동시적 정보처리 영역에서 효과가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 생각하는 과학 프로그램이 인지과정 기능에 대해 원전이 효과가 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

수용시설 노인들의 인지기능과 우울에 관한 연구 (A Study of Cognitive Function and Depression of the Elderly in a Institution)

  • Purpose : To estimate the prevalence of and identity the associates of cognitive function and depression among people over 70 years of age, and to examine the relationship between cognitive impairment and depression, Methods : The elderly in Pusan area were studied on the Korea version Mini Mental Scale Examination instrument(MMSE-K), Short form of Geriatic Depression Scale(SGDS). Results : The prevalence of cognitive impairment($MMSE{\leq}24$) was 64.4% and that of depression($GDS{\geq}8$) was 40.7% Lower education, no religion and no work experience were associated with cognitive impairment. Depression in demented group was 68.2%, in suspect dementia group was 43.7% and in non-demented group was 9.5%. Conclusion : The prevalence of cognitive impairment and depression in elderly was high and depression was in association with cognitive impairment.

전문계고 학생들의 우울과 불안 감소를위한 Burns의 인지-행동 집단상담의 효과 (The Effect of Burns' Cognitive-Behavioral Group Counseling on depression and anxiety of Industrial High School Students)

  • This study was conducted to test the effect of Burns' cognitive-behavioral group counseling on depression and anxiety of industrial high school students. For this purpose, an experimental group and comparative group which was composed of 15 students respectively were assigned. The independent sample t-test between experimental group and comparative group about the degree of pre-test and after-test and the opposition sample t-test within each experimental group and comparative group were conducted. Analysis of Covariance was also applied. Results of the analyses showed that Burns' cognitive-behavioral group counseling program was effective in decreasing depression and anxiety. Implications of these results on student guidance and counseling were discussed. Suggestions for future research were presented and limitations were indicated.

통합적 인지훈련프로그램의 노인 인지기능에 미치는 효과 (Effects of the Integrative Cognitive Training Program on Elderly Cognitive Function)

  • 본 연구는 통합적 인지훈련프로그램이 지역사회 노인의 인지기능에 미치는 효과를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 비동등성 대조군 전후설계로 일 지역의 노인복지관을 이용하는 만 65세 이상 노인 중 56명을 실헙군과 대조군에 각각 28명씩 임의 배정하였으며, 실험군에는 2011년 9월 3주부터 12월 2주까지 1주 2회, 1회 90분씩, 12주간, 총 24회의 통합적 인지훈련프로그램을 적용하였다. 실험처치 전에 실험군과 대조군의 인적사항과 노인용인지검사를 실시하였으며, 실험처치 후에 다시 실험군과 대조군의 노인용인지검사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과, 통합적 인지훈련프로그램 실시 후 실험군의 노인용 인지검사(전체지능, 기초지능, 관리지능, 주의기능, 작업기억, 언어기억, 시공간력, 기억기능, MMSE-K1)점수가 대조군에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 상승된 것으로 나타났다(p< .05). 본 연구는 통합적 인지훈련 프로그램이 지역사회 노인의 인지기능을 향상시킬 수 있다는 점을 파악한 데 의의가 있다.

  • Purpose : This study was to identify the effect of cognitive reaction following inactive electrode placement when applying anodal transcranial direct current stimulation over the primary motor cortex. Methods : For this study a total of 28 stroke patients participated. Before applying transcranial direct current stimulation, cognitive reaction was measured (P300 of event related potential, cognitive reaction time), and subjects were randomly assigned to two group. Transcranial direct current stimulation was applied to the scalp with an intensity of $0.04mA/cm^2$ for 15 minutes. All subjects were given an anode transcranial direct current stimulation over the primary motor area and inactive electrodes over the deltoid muscle (group I) and supra-orbital area (group II). Cognitive reactions were measured after applying transcranial direct current stimulation. Results : For this study a total of 28 stroke patients participated.   • 목적 본 연구는 라파엘 스마트 글러브가 경도인지장애 환자의 인지기능 및 일상생활 수행능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 라파엘 스마트글러브를 적용한 실험군 15명과 전통적인 인지재활을 적용한 대조군 15명으로 진행하였다. 두 집단의 중재 전 후 인지기능 및 일상생활 수행능력을 비교하기 위해 LOTCA, NCSE, MBI를 시행하였다. 연구결과 라파엘 스마트 글러브를 적용한 실험군과 대조군의 각 집단 내에서 중재 전 후 인지기능과 일상생활수행은 모두 통계학적으로 유의하게 향상되었으나(p>.05), 통계학적으로 실험군에서 유의하게 향상되었다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 기존 재활치료와 같이 라파엘 스마트 글러브를 적용할 경우 경도인지장애 환자의 인지기능과 일상생활 수행능력 향상에 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

노인전문병원 입원 노인의 인지훈련 프로그램이 인지기능, 스트레스 및 우울에 미치는 효과 (Effects of the Cognitive Training Program on Cognitive Function, Stress and Depression of Elderly Patients in Geriatric Hospitals)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the cognitive training program on cognitive function, stress and depression in geriatric hospitals. Methods: The subjects of the experimental group were 17 elderly patients who attended the cognitive training program in Geriatric Hospitals and the subjects of the control group were 15 elderly patients who attended in geriatric hospitals. The persons in training group must take cognitive training program for 4 weeks by 3 times a week. The Mini-mental State Examination Korea version (MMSE-K), Geriatric depression Scaleshort form-Korea version (GDS-K) and Korean Computerized Neurobehavioral Test (KCNT) were utilized to determine cognitive function, stress and depression. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA using SPSS/PC 12.0 program. Results: Cognitive function (t=-7.625, p=.000) in the elderly after receiving the cognitive training program was significantly more improved than before intervention. Also, Stress and depression (t=2.73, p=.004) was significantly more reduced than before the intervention. Conclusion: This cognitive training program was partially effective in improving cognitive function, neurobehavioral performance and reduce stress and depression. Therefore, it is recommended that this program be used in clinical practice as an effective nursing intervention in geriatric hospitals.

Developing children's non-cognitive skills by early entrepreneurship education

  • This research aims to explore the influence of early entrepreneurial education on cognitive and non-cognitive abilities of male sixth-grade primary school pupils using a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 45 students were randomly allocated to experimental, active-control, and control groups using a multi-stage random selection procedure. The experimental group was taught entrepreneurship using the Bizworld entrepreneurship education package. The active control group did not get entrepreneurship education but was instructed on a non-entrepreneurship-related issue (hygiene). The Control group received no instruction. The findings revealed that early entrepreneurial education skills impacted noncognitive abilities (such as risk-taking propensity, creativity, self-efficacy, persistence, and need for achievement). Early entrepreneurship education seems to be an effective technique for developing children's non-cognitive abilities in the late years of primary school. As a result, entrepreneurship education may be taught in primary schools, emphasizing the development of non-cognitive abilities, which will affect children's individual, educational, social, and vocational futures and can have long-term advantages for students, families, and society.

기억강화프로그램이 노인의 인지기능, 자아존중감과 기억수행에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Memory Intensive Training Program on Cognitive Function, Memory Performance, and Self-Esteem in Elderly People)

  • Purpose: This study was to confirm the influence of memory intensive training program on the elderly people's cognitive function, memory performance, and self-esteem. Method: Using a quasi-experimental or experimental design, 60 elderly aged over 60 years randomly assigned the experimental and control groups completed pretest-post evaluation. The experimental group participated in the memory intensive training program was offered to the participants in the experimental group for three weeks (2times/week). The t-test and $X^2$-test using SAS program. Results: 1) The cognitive function was significantly higher in the experimental group compared to that in the control group (t=3.26, p=.002). 2) The memory performance that included immediate word recall tasks, word recognition tasks and delayed word recall tasks was significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group (t=5.30, p<.001). The experimental group showed significantly higher scores for memory performance than the control group (t=5.30, p<.001). 3) The self-esteem was higher in the experimental group than in the control group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups (t=1.94, p=.058). Conclusion: The Memory Intensive Training Program could be an effective intervention for improving cognitive function, and memory performance of the elderly people.

외상을 다룬 인지행동 프로그램이 재해 피해 아동의 정신건강상태에 미치는 영향: 유류유출 피해 지역 아동을 중심으로 (Effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program on mental health problems in children dealing with trauma: Focused on community district victimized by oil spill)

  • Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the effects of cognitive behavioral therapy in a victimized community district and to determine if the program is an effective nursing intervention to reduce posttraumatic stress disorder symptom, depression and state anxiety. Methods: A nonequivalent control group design was used for the study. The participants, 32 elementary school students, were selected from grades 4, 5, 6 and each student was assigned to either the experimental (16) or control (16) group. Cognitive behavioral therapy was used as the experimental treatment from April 9 to May 28, 2009. The experimental group received cognitive behavior therapy intervention 8 times. Data analysis was done using ANCOVA with SPSS 17.0. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group showed significantly lower levels of posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms than the control group. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that cognitive behavioral therapy is an effective nursing intervention to decrease the level of mental health problems of children in victimized district. Further research is required in order to identify the continuous effects of cognitive behavioral therapy.
