An Investigation of Cloud Computing and E-Learning for Educational Advancement

  • Advances in technology have given educators a tool to empower them to assist with developing the best possible human resources. Teachers at universities prefer to use more modern technological advances to help them educate their students. This opens up a necessity to research the capabilities of cloud-based learning services so that educational solutions can be found among the available options. Based on that, this essay looks at models and levels of deployment for the e-learning cloud architecture in the education system. A project involving educators explores whether gement Systems (LMS) can function well in a collaborative remote learning environment. The study was performed on how Blackboard was being used by a public institution and included research on cloud computing. This test examined how Blackboard Learn performs as a teaching tool and featured 60 participants. It is evident from the completed research that computers are beneficial to student education, especially in improving how schools administer lessons. Convenient tools for processing educational content are included as well as effective organizational strategies for educational processes and better ways to monitor and manage knowledge. In addition, this project's conclusions help highlight the advantages of rolling out cloud-based e-learning in higher educational institutions, which are responsible for creating the integrated educational product. The study showed that a shift to cloud computing can bring progress to educational material and substantial improvement to student academic outcomes, which is related to the increased use of better learning tools and methods.

이러닝 교수 설계자 인적 자원 유통을 위한 휴먼 클라우드 플랫폼 프레임워크 설계 (A Design of Human Cloud Platform Framework for Human Resources Distribution of e-Learning Instructional Designer)

  • Purpose - In the 21st century, as information technology advances alongside the emergence of the 4th generation, industrial age, industrial environment has become individualized and customized. It is important to hire good quality employees for good service in the industry. The e-learning market is growing every year. Although e-learning companies are finding better quality employees in e-learning, it is not easy to find it. Companies also spend a lot of time and cost to find employee. On the employees side, they want to get a job freely when they want, but they cannot find their job easily. Furthermore, the labor market environment is changing fast. In the 4th generation, industrial age, employers require to find manpower whenever they need and want at little cost. So of their own accord, we have considered the necessity of management of human resources for employees and employers in e-learning. The purpose of this study is to propose a human cloud platform framework for enabling an efficient management of human resources in e-learning industry. Research design, data, and methodology - To pinpoint the items of a human cloud platform framework, the study was initiated according to the following process. First, items of competency relating to e-learning instructional designer was analyzed. Second, based on the items of information from this analysis, selection and validity verification took place with 5 e-learning specialists group. Third, the opinion of experts who were in charge of hiring in e-learning companies were collated with the questionnaire. Lastly, the human cloud platform framework was proposed based on opinion results. Results - The framework was comprised of 7 domains and 27 items in order to develop the human cloud platform for e-learning instructional designer. The analysis results showed that the most highly considered item were 'skill (4.60)' that employee already have the capability. Following this (in order) were 'project type (4.56)', 'work competency (4.56)', and 'strength area of instructional design (4.52)'. Conclusions - The 27 items in the human cloud platform framework were suggested in this study. Following this, we can consider to develop the human cloud platform for finding a job and hiring e-learning instructional designer easily. For successful platform operation, we need to consider reliability between employer and employee. In addition, we need quality assurance system based on operation has public confidence.

Emerging Trends in Cloud-Based E-Learning: A Systematic Review of Predictors, Security and Themes

  • Cloud-based e-learning (CBEL) represents a promising technological frontier. Existing literature has presented a diverse array of findings regarding the determinants that influence the adoption of CBEL. The primary objective of this study is to conduct an exhaustive examination of the available literature, aiming to determine the key predictors of CBEL utilization by employing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology. A comprehensive review of 35 articles was undertaken, shedding light on the status of CBEL as an evolving field. Notably, there has been a discernible downturn in related research output during the COVID-19 pandemic, underscoring the temporal dynamics of this subject. It is noteworthy that a significant portion of this research has emanated from the Asian continent. Furthermore, the dominance of the technology acceptance model (TAM) in research frameworks is affirmed by our findings. Through a rigorous thematic analysis, our study identified five overarching themes, each encompassing a diverse range of sub-themes. These themes encompass 1) technological factors, 2) individual factors, 3) organizational factors, 4) environmental factors, and 5) security factors. This categorization provides a structured framework for understanding the multifaceted nature of CBEL adoption determinants. Our study serves as a compass, guiding future research endeavours in this domain. It underscores the imperative for further investigations utilizing diverse theoretical frameworks, contextual settings, research methodologies, and variables. This call for diversity and expansion in research efforts reflects the dynamic nature of CBEL and the evolving landscape of e-learning technologies.

  • IT의 폭넓은 개발, Web 2.0 애플리케이션의 의 발전, 인터넷이 가능한 개인용 단말장치의 증가, 무선 네트워크의 유용성 등은 클라우드 컴퓨팅 모델을 만드는데 매우 중요한 역할을 수행하였다. 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 하나의 비즈니스 모델이며, 웹 애플리케이션의 새로운 트렌드다. 또한 형식은 그리드 컴퓨팅이나 유틸리티 컴퓨팅과 같은 형태를 사용한다. 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 서버의 같은 하드웨어 자원을 사용할 수 있으며 정보를 공유하기 쉽다. 본 연구에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이러닝 분야를 적용하기 위한 방안을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 클라우드 컴퓨팅환경에서 LMS와 LCMS 기반의 이러닝을 제시하고자 한다. 이는 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 데이터센터에 LCMS를 포함한 LMS를 접속하도록 하였다.

지각된 위험과 전환비용이 클라우드 서비스로의 전환의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: PPM 모델 중심으로 (The Impact of Perceived Risks and Switching Costs on Switching Intention to Cloud Services: Based on PPM Model)

  • Purpose In this study, we investigated the impact of perceived risk and switching costs on switching intention to cloud service based on PPM (Pull-Push-Mooring) model. Design/methodology/approach We focused on revealing the switching factors of the switching intention to the cloud services. The switching factors to the cloud services were defined as perceived risk consisting of performance risk, economic risk, and security risk, and switching costs consisting of financial and learning costs. On the PPM model, we defined the pull factors consisting of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and the push factor as satisfaction of the legacy system, and the mooring factor as policy supports. Findings The results of this study as follows; (1) Among the perceived risk factors, performance risk has a negative effect on the ease of use of pull factors, and finally it was found to affect the switching intention to the cloud services. Therefore, cloud service providers need to improve trust in cloud services, service timeliness, and linkage to the legacy systems. And it was found that economic risk and security risk among the perceived risk factors did not affect the switching intention to the cloud services. (2) Of the perceived risk factors, financial cost and learning cost did not affect the satisfaction of the legacy system, which is a push factor. It indicates that the respondents are positively considering switching to cloud service in the future, despite the fact that the respondents are satisfied with the use of the legacy system and are aware of the switching cost to cloud service. (3) Policy support was found to improve the switching intention to cloud services by alleviating the financial and learning costs required for cloud service switching.

An IPSO-KELM based malicious behaviour detection and SHA256-RSA based secure data transmission in the cloud paradigm

  • Cloud Computing has emerged as an extensively used technology not only in the IT sector but almost in all sectors. As the nature of the cloud is distributed and dynamic, the jeopardies present in the current implementations of virtualization, numerous security threats and attacks have been reported. Considering the potent architecture and the system complexity, it is indispensable to adopt fundamentals. This paper proposes a secure authentication and data sharing scheme for providing security to the cloud data. An efficient IPSO-KELM is proposed for detecting the malicious behaviour of the user. Initially, the proposed method starts with the authentication phase of the data sender. After authentication, the sender sends the data to the cloud, and the IPSO-KELM identifies if the received data from the sender is an attacked one or normal data i.e. the algorithm identifies if the data is received from a malicious sender or authenticated sender. If the data received from the sender is identified to be normal data, then the data is securely shared with the data receiver using SHA256-RSA algorithm. The upshot of the proposed method are scrutinized by identifying the dissimilarities with the other existing techniques to confirm that the proposed IPSO-KELM and SHA256-RSA works well for malicious user detection and secure data sharing in the cloud.

Knowledge Transfer Using User-Generated Data within Real-Time Cloud Services

  • When automatic speech recognition (ASR) is provided as a cloud service, it is easy to collect voice and application domain data from users. Harnessing these data will facilitate the provision of more personalized services. In this paper, we demonstrate our transfer learning-based knowledge service that built with the user-generated data collected through our novel system that deliveries personalized ASR service. First, we discuss the motivation, challenges, and prospects of building up such a knowledge-based service-oriented system. Second, we present a Quadruple Transfer Learning (QTL) method that can learn a classification model from a source domain and transfer it to a target domain. Third, we provide an overview architecture of our novel system that collects voice data from mobile users, labels the data via crowdsourcing, utilises these collected user-generated data to train different machine learning models, and delivers the personalised real-time cloud services. Finally, we use the E-Book data collected from our system to train classification models and apply them in the smart TV domain, and the experimental results show that our QTL method is effective in two classification tasks, which confirms that the knowledge transfer provides a value-added service for the upper-layer mobile applications in different domains.

성인학습자의 이러닝 학습참여에 대한 학습동기 요인 연구 (Exploring the Motivational Factors Influencing on Learner Participation of Adult Learners in e-Learning)

  • 이러닝은 학습자 자율에 의해 진행되므로 성공적인 학습을 위해서는 지속적인 참여를 위한 학습동기가 무엇보다 중요하다. 평생교육에 참여하는 성인학습자가 증가하면서 이들의 학습참여와 참여에 영향을 미치는 학습동기에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 학습동기와 학습참여간의 관계를 설명하는 기대가치이론과 자기주도학습이론을 바탕으로 학습동기의 구성요소(학습가치, 비용, 자기조절, 일정관리)가 학습참여에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이러닝 프로그램을 MoodleCloud에 구축하였고, 학습자는 설문에 답한 후 학습을 진행하였다. 학습 진행 과정에서 수집한 로그데이터로 산출한 학습참여점수와 설문 응답 데이터를 이용하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 성인학습자의 이러닝 학습참여에 유의한 영향을 미치는 동기요인은 학습가치와 일정관리이며, 학습가치에 대한 생각은 남녀 간의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 성인학습자가 이러닝 학습 프로그램의 가치를 높게 인지할수록, 학습자 스스로 일정관리 능력이 있을수록 학습에 많이 참여한다고 할 수 있다. 이 연구 결과는 학습자와 교수자의 교수·학습전략 수립에 활용될 수 있고, 궁극적으로는 이러닝 중도 탈락을 방지하는 데 도움이 될 수 있다.

MOOCs에 기반한 대학이러닝의 융복합적 발전방안에 관한 연구 (A study about a convergence development plan of MOOCs based e-learning in university)

  • 최근 대학이러닝 환경은 급변하고 있고, 특히 글로벌 유수 대학을 중심으로 한 MOOCs 서비스의 확산은 국내 대학이러닝에도 새로운 변화와 도전을 촉진하고 있다. 급변하는 이러닝 환경 속에서 대학이러닝은 MOOCs를 중심으로 어떻게 변화하고 발전해 나갈 것인지 융복합적인 관점에서 발전방안에 대한 탐색이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 MOOCs를 기반으로 대학이러닝의 융복합적인 발전방안을 개념적 틀과 함께 제안하였다. 본 연구를 위해 대학이러닝 및 MOOCs 관련 문헌 연구, 전문가 자문회의, 대학이러닝을 둘러싼 SWOT 분석, 대학이러닝지원센터 관련자 대상 설문 등을 실시하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 MOOCs의 특성을 반영한 '개방형 고등교육 강좌 서비스', '교수학습 큐레이션 서비스', '교수학습 프랙티스 서비스', '창의적 교수학습 방법 개발 및 공유 서비스', '클라우드 기반의 교육용 플랫폼 지원 서비스' 등의 이슈를 융복합적으로 통합한 안을 도출하였고, MOOCs 기반으로 한 융복합적 발전방안을 마련하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 대학이러닝의 도약적 발전을 위한 방안이 제시되고, 아울러 국내 MOOCs의 도입과 적용에 대한 논의의 기초가 마련될 것으로 기대된다.

클라우드 기반 원격 교육시스템 도입 효과 요인에 관한 실증 연구: 사이버대학교 구축 성공사례 중심으로 (The Empirical Study on Factors of Effect of Introducing Cloud-Based Remote Education System: Focusing on Successful of Cyber University Construction)

  • 4차 산업혁명시대 정부의 꾸준한 법 규제 완화로 클라우드 도입 저해 요소들에 대한 해결 방안이 생기면서 교육환경에도 큰 변화를 가져 오고 있다. 대학에서도 클라우드 컴퓨팅 도입에 대한 관심은 점점 커져가고 있지만 인식 확산 및 분위기 조성 단계에 머무르는 수준이다. 본 연구는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 도입 효과에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석을 통해 확장성, 민첩성, 호환성, 경제성, 보안성, 안정성, 제도적 지원 요인을 "K사이버대학교의 클라우드 기반 원격 교육 시스템 구축" 성공사례의 도입효과에 대한 실증 요인을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 도출된 요인은 성공적인 클라우드 컴퓨팅 도입을 위한 전략 및 방향성 제시의 실증적인 연구의 의의가 있다. 향후 연구에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 도입 이전의 다양한 요인 분석에 대한 모델을 구체화 및 확대하여 실증적 요인을 근간으로 하는 연구의 배경으로 활용 될 수 있을 것이다.
