  • A type of workflow affiliation network is one of the specialized social network types, which represents the associative relation between actors and activities. There are many methods on a workflow affiliation network measuring centralities such as degree centrality, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, eigenvector centrality. In particular, we are interested in the closeness centrality measurements on a workflow affiliation network discovered from enterprise workflow models, and we know that the time complexity problem is raised according to increasing the size of the workflow affiliation network. This paper proposes an estimated ranking algorithm and analyzes the accuracy and average computation time of the proposed algorithm. As a result, we show that the accuracy improves 47.5%, 29.44% in the sizes of network and the rates of samples, respectively. Also the estimated ranking algorithm's average computation time improves more than 82.40%, comparison with the original algorithm, when the network size is 2400, sampling rate is 30%.

  • This study examined the impact of interaction between dispositional empathic concern (DEC) and message framing on effects of the international aid campaign. DEC refers to a trait with which people tend to sympathize with and be concerned about others in need. Message framing is differentiated by positive or negative type. The results supported the prediction that the interaction between DEC and framing would have an effect on responses to messages advocating international relief activities. The overall findings show that the interaction was mainly the result of positive framing eliciting more favorable responses (behavioral intention and perceived relationship closeness) from higher DEC individuals than lower ones. The interaction effect on behavioral interaction was mediated by perceived relationship closeness.

  • Personal information exposed in the Internet is increasing by the public data opening and sharing, vitalization of SNS(Social Network Service) and growth of information shared between users. Exposed personal information in the Internet can infringe upon targeted users using linkage attack or background attack. To prevent these attack De-identification models were appeared a few years ago. The 'k-anonymity' has been introduced in the first place, and the '${\ell}$-diversity' and 't-closeness' have been followed up as solutions, and diverse algorithms have been being suggested for performance improvement nowadays. However, industry or public sectors actually needs a whole solution as a system for the de-identification process rather than performance of the de-identification algorithm. This paper explains a way of de-identification techique for 'k-anonymity', '${\ell}$-diversity', and 't-closeness' algorithm using QI(Quasi-Identifier) grouping method in the relational database.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the extent to which intensive care unit (ICU) nurses' perceptions of life-sustaining treatment decisions and "a good death" affect attitudes toward terminal care. Method : Participants included 109 ICU nurses from three university hospitals. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, and collected data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, the $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and a multiple regression analysis (SPSS 24.0 program). Results : Perceptions of life-sustaining treatment decisions and a sense of closeness (a constituent for the awareness of "a good death") were positively correlated with terminal care attitudes. The factors affecting terminal care attitudes were a clinical career in ICU (${\beta}=.20$, p =.035), a sense of closeness(${\beta}=.19$, p =.041), and the perception of a life-sustaining treatment decision (${\beta}=.22$, p =.017). This finding indicates that more than 10 years of experience in ICU, a greater sense of closeness, and a higher view of life-sustaining treatment decisions results in more positive attitudes toward terminal care. The explanatory power of these variables on terminal care attitudes was 14% (F=6.84, p < .001, Adj $R^2=.140$). Conclusion : A sense of closeness and the perception of life-sustaining treatment decisions were identified as the factors affecting terminal care attitudes. Thus, various programs must be developed to raise awareness among ICU nurses of "a good death" and perceptions of life-sustaining treatment decisions.

  • This study examined whether any relationship exists between teachers' and children's perceptions of the teacher-child relationship and how factors such as the child's self-regulation and stress, and the teacher's self-efficacy and stress affect the teacher-child relationship. The participants for this study consisted of 101 kindergarteners and 17 teachers. Most of the children (88%) and teachers (88%) perceived teacher-child closeness. On the other hand, 22% of children and 11% of teachers perceived teacher-child conflict. The child's self-regulation affected both children's and teachers' perceptions of teacher-child closeness and conflict. The teacher's self-efficacy affected both children's and teachers' perceptions of teacher-child closeness. It also affected teachers' perceptions of teacher-child conflict. The child's and teacher's stress affected both children's and teachers' perceptions of teacher-child conflict. These findings were discussed with respect to implications for the classroom and future research.

  • Due to advances in hardware performance, user-friendly interfaces are becoming one of the major concerns in information systems. Linguistic conversation is a very natural way of human communications. Fuzzy techniques have been employed to liaison the discrepancy between the qualitative linguistic terms and quantitative computerized data. This paper deals with linguistic queries using clustering results on data sets, which are intended to retrieve the close clusters or distant clusters from the clustering results. In order to support such queries, a fuzzy technique-based method is proposed. The method introduces distance membership functions, namely, close and distant membership functions which transform the metric distance between two objects into the degree of closeness or farness, respectively. In order to measure the degree of closeness or farness between two clusters, both cluster closeness measure and cluster farness measure which incorporate distance membership function and cluster memberships are considered. For the flexibility of clustering, fuzzy clusters are assumed to be formed. This allows us to linguistically query close or distant clusters by constructing fuzzy relation based on the measures.

  • The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.
