Objectives: This study aimed to verify the degree of clinical practice transition shock, resilience, and academic burnout of dental hygiene students, and analyze factors affecting academic burnout. Methods: From September 1 to September 20, 2022, this study collected data from 201 dental hygiene students who experienced clinical practice, and subsequently conducted a t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS Statistics 22. Results: The transition shock and resilience showed a significantly negative correlation (r=-0.211), transition shock and academic burnout showed a significantly positive correlation (r=0.484), and resilience and academic burnout showed a significantly negative correlation (r=-0.568). Regarding factors affecting academic burnout, academic burnout increased when the transition shock was greater (β=0.263, p<0.001), major satisfaction after clinical practice was lower (β=0.180, p<0.05), and the average grades were lower (β=0.169, p<0.01). Academic burnout decreased when resilience was greater (β=-0.435, p<0.001). Conclusions: To prevent clinical practice transition shock and academic burnout, and to increase the resilience of dental hygiene students, it would be necessary to establish learning strategies, change the educational environment, and establish a systematic clinical practice management program.

They showed the highest satisfaction in the contents of practice(3.64). 3. There was statistically significant positive correlation between motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice(r = .165, p < .05). Conclusion : There was statistically significant positive correlation between motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice. Repeated research through sampling based on probability to generalize relevance of motivation of achievement and satisfaction with clinical practice is needed and further researches on developing program to inspire motivation of achievement in theoretical learning as well as in clinical practice are required.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the relationships among communication competence, professional self-concept, and stress in clinical practice of nursing students. Methods: The study participants were 308 senior year nursing students in D city and K province. Collected data were analyzed using t-tests, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS Version 20.0. Results: There were significant differences in participants' stress of clinical practice based on their level of satisfaction on clinical practice, self-confidence of nursing and difficulty with relationships in clinical practice. A negative correlation was detected between stress in clinical practice and the professional self-concept of nursing students. The copy numbers of the CTG repeats are known to relate to the severity of clinical symptoms for myotonic dystrophy. The positive correlation between clinical manifestations and CTG repeat size has been demonstrated previously. A genetically confirmed myotonic dystrophy patient with 90 CTG repeat number had more severe clinical manifestation than brother with 120 CTG repeats, in adulthood.
