  • There have been active researches utilizing Biometric informations such as fingerprints, face, iris and so on. but they have tended to use their own data formal and interfaces in processing Biometric informations, which causes the difficulties including sharing of Biometric informations and interoperability. To overcome such problems, we have studied XML applications such as XCBF and SOAP to process Biometric informations in the client-server environment. A method suitable to process and transfer Biometric informations in XML notation is proposed as a result.

  • Now, It is vulnerabilities and problems of adaption in user identification and authentication on the Web environments; the BAA(Basic Access Authentication) of HTTP1.0 is that use. ID and password is passed with clear-text between client and server, For this enhancement, the DAA(Digest Access Authentication) of HTTP1.1 is that use. password is digested by MAC(Message Authentication Code) mechanism. but, this mechanism is not adapted by venders of Web browsers. This paper propose the lava based user identification and authentication model to resolve the above problems. Proposed systems are applied to the Web environment, since it has independence to web server and client.

  • The purposes of this paper is to propose a methology for the efficient work analysis and system configuration for the developing of facilities information management system for city gas facilites. For this, work defining and user requirement was reflected on system, and systematic system development was derived through defining the problems of existing facilities management system. The study can be summarized as follows: First, existing work was computerized effectively by feedback with user interview on analyzing work. Second, it is appropriate to approach on system development in view of SI(System Integrate) which integrates Management Information System(MIS) and Geograph¬ic Information System(GIS). Third, it was found that Client-Server environment is good solution for now and future computer environment.

  • In this paper, an Android based ubiquitous interface for controlling service robots is presented. The robot server captures the images for the front view of the robot, makes a map of the environment and its position, produces a graphic image of its pose, and then transmits them to the Android client. The Android client displays them in the LCD panel and transfers control information obtained from touched buttons to the server. In the interface environment, we implement remote moving mode, autonomous moving mode, and remote operation mode for being used for versatile operability to the robot with limited screen of the smart phone. Experimental results show the implementation of the proposed interface in Android installed on Motoroi to control a service robot, and demonstrate its feasibility.

  • IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) RFC 2069 recommend to accept the DAA(Digest Access Authentication) scheme ill the HTTP 1.1(Hype. Text Transfer Protocol 1.1). When the client want to access the protected URI resources with Web Server, the BAA scheme is not considered to be a secure method of user authentication, as the user name and password are passed over the network as clear text. But, The DAA scheme is proposed to create a access authentication method which avoids the serious flaws of BAA(ie, passed over the network as clear text). The flaw of DAA is not supported the confidentiality services between client and server. This paper is proposed a confidentiality service scheme for HTTP environment, as an extension to DAA

  • The Hydrogeologic data of 455 water wells comprising geologic and aquifer test were analyzed to determine hydrogeoloic characteristics of Cheju island. The groundwater of Cheju island is occurred in unconsolidated pyroclastic deposits interbedded in highly jointed basaltic and andesic rocks as high level, basal and parabasal types order unconfined condition. The average transmissivity and specific yield of the aquifer are at about 29,300m$^2$/day and 0.12 respectively. The total storage of groundwater is estimated about 44 billion cubic meters(m$^3$). Average annual precipitation is about 3390 million m$^3$ among which average recharge amount is estimated 1494 million m$^3$ equivalent 44.1% of annual precipitation with 638 million m$^3$ of runoff and 1256 million m$^3$ of evapotranspiration. Based on groundwater budget analysis, the sustainable yield is about 620 million m$^3$(41% of annual recharge)and rest of it is discharging into the sea. The geologic logs of recently drilled thermal water wens indicate that very low-permeable marine sediments(Sehwa-ri formation) composed of loosely cemented sandy sat derived from mainly volcanic ashes, at the 1st stage volcanic activity of the area was situated at the 120$\pm$68m below sea level. And also the other low-permeable sedimentary rock called Segipo-formation which is deemed younger than former marine sediment is occured at the area covering north-west and western part of Cheju at the $\pm$70m below sea level. If these impermeable beds are distributed as a basal formation of fresh water zone of Cheju, most of groundwater in Cheju will be para-basal type. These formations will be one of the most important hydrogeologic boundary and groundwater occurences in the area.

  • Hybrid query processing method is used for preventing server overload that is created by heavy user connection in Web GIS. In Hybrid query processing method, both server and client participate in spatial query processing. But, Hybrid query processing method is restricted in scalability of server and it can't be fundamentally solution for server overload. So, it is necessary for Web GIS to be brought in web clustering technique. In this thesis, we propose load-balancing method that uses proximity of query region. In this paper, we create tile groups that have relation each tile in same group is very close, and forward client request to the server that can have maximum rate of buffer reuse with considering characteristic of spatial query. With out load balancing method, buffet in server is optimized for exploring spatial index tree and increase rate of buffer reuse, so it can be reduced amount of disk access and increase system performance.

  • In the distributed multimedia document system, media objects distributed over a computer network are retrieved from their sources and presented to users according to specified temporal relations. For effective presentation, synchronization has to be supported. Furthermore, since the presentation in the distributed environment is influenced by the network bandwidth and delay, they should be considered for synchronization. This paper proposes a distributed multimedia presentation system that performs presentation effectively in the distributed environment. And it also suggests a method to supports synchronization, in which, network situation and resources are monitored when media objects are transferred from servers to a client. Then a feedback message for the change of them is sent to the server so that the server might adjust the data sending rate to control synchronization. To monitor the situation of network, we use two methods together. One is to manage the level of the buffer by setting thresholds on a buffer and the other is to check the difference between the sending time of a packet from the server and the arrival time of the packet to the client.

  • P2P (Peer to Peer) is part that is discussed much in the latest Internet and is interested. P2P changes the structure of Client-Server into Information sharing between client that is the structure of p2p. But perfect P2P system has many problems awaiting solution. In this treatise we can realize network communication to compose one virtual server and one virtual client which is intergrated several client and distributed computer that decentralize network traffic into the traffic of several pc by sharing resource and cpu between client. Our nam purpose is not real P2P system but realization, organization of the P2P internet system which is composed by distributed computing and network load balancing in P2P internet system environment.

  • XML and Web Services draw a lot of attention as standard technologies for data exchange and integration among heterogeneous platforms XML/A, which supports such technologies, is a SOAP based XML APl that facilitates data exchange between a client application and a data analysis engine through the Internet. The fact that the XML format is used for data exchange makes XML/A to be platform-independent. However. client application developers have to go through a tedious Job of treating the same type of XML documents fur downloading data from the server. Also, an XML query language is needed for extracting data from the XML documents sent by the server. In this paper, we present a high level client OLAP API, called DXML, for the client application developers in the windows environment to easily use the OLAP services of XML/A. XMLMD consists of properties and methods needed for OLAP application development. XMLMD is to XML/A what ADOMD is to OLEDB for OLAP. We also present a web OLAP cube browser that is developed using XMLMD. The browser display's data in various formats such as XML, HTML, Excel, and graph.
