아바타 이미지에 따른 아바타 이용자 특성에 관한 연구 -아바타 이용현황, 신체존중감, 그리고 자기존중감을 중심으로- (The Characteristics of Avatar Users according to Avatar Image -Focus on utilization state, body-esteem and self-esteem-)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between avatar image and self-concept of avatar users by utilizing focus group interviews and survey method. The subjects of the focus group interview were Freechal Avatar Club members, while those of the survey were 476 students, who attended middle schools, high schools and colleges at Seoul area. The data were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, cluster analysis, chi-square test, one-way ANOVA and scheffe test. The main results were summarized as follows. First, the focus group interview revealed that avatar image types, which avatar users made use of, were ideal image, real image and fantastic image. Second, based on the avatar image types of focus group interviews, the researcher made out avatar image question items and conducted factor analysis of the question items: The avatar users pursued ideal image, real image and fantastic image. The avatar users groups were classified into ideal image group, real image group and fantastic image group by employing cluster analysis. Third, all of body-esteem and self-esteem were the highest at real image group, while all of that were the lowest at ideal image group.

자기 이미지에 따른 착용의복이미지, 추구의복이미지 및 의복구매행동 (Actual Images and Pursued Images and Purchase Behaviors for Clothing as Determined by Self-Image)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate images pursued and purchase behaviors for clothing as determined by self-image. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey from March 3 to March 11, 2003 from 600 female students attending universities in Seoul; 514 were used for the data analysis. Data were analyzed by chi-square analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, tics, cluster analysis and Duncan's multiple range test. Self image was defined six factors: social image, gay image, intellectual image, girlish image, iron nerves image, image like a man and was classified three group avail of six factor: commonness type, social brilliance type, immature boldness type. The results showed significant differences in images of actual clothing worn by self and in the clothing image pursued among the groups determined by the self image. Significant differences were also found in clothing purchase behaviors such as monthly clothing expenditure, shopping frequency, store types, and the clothing items often used for expressing self-image among the groups divided by self-image.

한국적 의복이미지와 디자인과의 관계 - 한국과 미국의 비교 - (The Relation between the Korean Costume Image and the Design - The Comparison of Korean and American-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning structure of Korean costume image in contemporary Korean fashion design expressed beauty of traditional dress. This study compared Korean and American regarding the evaluation of Korean costume image. The result was as follows; 1. The constructing factors of Korean costume image were found out as elegance, simplicity, neatness, femineity, looseness. (total variance; 62%) 2. The visual evaluation between Korean and American were sinificantly different regarding 5 factors. 3. Korean costume design were classified 4 clusters. Korean traditional fabrics and colors were commonly used in the 4 clusters. Difference of design were found in the structure of form. Formation of Korean costume image were influenced by silhouette and pattern of fabric. 4. Image of 'Would like to purchase' were influenced by image of taste.

Korean Genderless Fashion Consumers' Self-image and Identification

  • The "genderless fashion" style adopted by 20 to 30-year-olds in Korea cannot be ignored in the consumer fashion code. This study investigated self-images of Korean genderless fashion consumers through in-depth interviews. Interview analyses confirmed that Korean genderless fashion consumers express their self-image through clothing. As the theoretical framework, this study used Lacan's concept of desire to classify the types of self-image consumers want to express. The results are classified into three subject types: those who pursue self-fulfillment, those who pursue fulfillment from others, and those who pursue endless fulfillment through a self-image. This reflects various factors and the subjects' desires. Further, a subject's desire to present a specific self-image was an important factor in understanding the genderless fashion style. The study results revealed that modern fashion is an "unconscious" field of self-expression that crucially reflects individual desires. The study also contributes to the understanding of the concept of self-image at large.

상에 대한 초등학교 교사들의 이해 (Elementary School Teachers' Understanding of Image)

  • This study investigated elementary school teachers' understanding of the image formation by converging lens, pinholes camera, mirror and water. In each case teachers were asked to draw the ray diagram to indicate the position of the image. Teachers' ray diagrams were analyzed in accordance with the scientific process of image formation. Results of analysis showed that teacher's conceptions were classified into five levels for each situation. And most of the teachers were in level 3 and level 4 in each case. Because they had difficulties in the appling scientific conception(propagating path of light, diffused reflection from each object point, role of the eye, ray tracing) to finding location of image. Also most of teachers didn't know how to apply the law of reflection and refraction to each situation. The study finally discussed the teacher training program of the optical image.

지도영상에서의 도로정보 자동추출 알고리즘 (An Automatic Extraction Algorithm of Road Information in a Map Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 지도영상의 도로정보를 자동으로 추출할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 복잡한 지도영상에서 도로영상만을 추출한다. 추출된 영상은 세선화 방법에 의해 도로의 골격만으로 이루어진 영상으로 변환된다. 세선화된 영상은 여러 종류의 문제점을 포함한다. 이러한 문제점을 보정하기 위해 도로의 특성을 나타내는 Rutovitz 연결수에 의해 분류된 후 도로특성에 따라 개별적인 보정이 이루어진다. 여러 가지 지도영상에 대한 실험결과를 통해 제안한 방법의 유효성을 입증하였다.

임상간호사가 지각한 간호사 자아상: Q 방법론적 접근 (Nurses' Self-Image Perceived by Clinical Nurses: An Application of Q-Methodology)

  • Purpose: The views, perceptions, and feelings of nurses themselves would be important to quality of nursing and professionalism, and turnover intentions. The purpose of this study was to identify nurses 'self-image to develop a customized program. Methods: The Q-methodology which is to create a typology was used. The 40 selected Q-statements from each of 35 participants were classified into a shape of normal distribution using a nine point scale. The collected data were analyzed using a PC-QUANL program. Results: Three types of nurses 'self-image were identified: 'proactive self-image', 'critical self-image', and 'adaptive self-image'. Two consensus items in three types were extracted: 'need to develop healing therapies to overcome the constant tension and exhaustion from work', and 'just think as a colleague than the senior-junior relationship. Conclusion: The results is the typology and this leads to further research.

Image enhancement of digital periapical radiographs according to diagnostic tasks

  • Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the effect of image enhancement of periapical radiographs according to the diagnostic task. Materials and Methods: Eighty digital intraoral radiographs were obtained from patients and classified into four groups according to the diagnostic tasks of dental caries, periodontal diseases, periapical lesions, and endodontic files. All images were enhanced differently by using five processing techniques. Three radiologists blindly compared the subjective image quality of the original images and the processed images using a 5-point scale. Results: There were significant differences between the image quality of the processed images and that of the original images (P< 0.01) in all the diagnostic task groups. Processing techniques showed significantly different efficacy according to the diagnostic task (P< 0.01). Conclusion: Image enhancement affects the image quality differently depending on the diagnostic task. And the use of optimal parameters is important for each diagnostic task.

현대 패션의 일본적 디자인 특성과 이미지 구성요인 (A Study on the Characteristic and Composition Factor of Contemporary Japanese Costume Design)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristic and composition factor of Japanese costume design. The stimulus were 25 contemporary costume design which represented the traditional image of Japanese. The main survey of questionary consisted of their evaluation of the Japanese costume image by 26 semantic differential bipolar scales and the subjects were 99 female students majoring in clothing and textiles. The data were analyzed by Factor analysis, Multidimensional Scaling Method and Regression Analysis. The major findings were as follows. As a result of design analysis, contemporary Japanese costume design which represented the traditional image had traditional form, color, texture, pattern, etc. Through factor analysis about Japanese costume image 7 factors were identified; Attractiveness, Attention, Cool and warm, Neatness, Activeness, Maturity, Classics. According to image positioning, Japanese costume design was classified by simple-decorative, soft-hard. As the result of regression analysis, The preference of Japanese costume image was related to attractive factor.

여대생의 생활한복에 대한 이미지 연구 -청주시를 중심으로- (A Study on Image of Contemporary folk costume of Female College Students -focused on Cheongju city-)

  • The purpose of the study were to investigate the differences of Image on male and female\\` The purpose of the study were to investigate the differences of Image on male and female´ Contemporary folk costume of Female College Students according to their life styles and their major. The data were collected from 300 female college students in Cheongju city through self-administerd questionnaires, and were analyzed by frequencies, Cronbach´s $\alpha$, F-test, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, one way ANOVA and Duncan Test. The results of the study were as follows: The image on male and female´ Contemporary folk costume were found to include four different dimensions- fashion, activity, gracefulness, ability. There were not significant differences between dimensions of image on male and female´ contemporary folk costume according to student´s major. Life styles were classified five types. There were significantly different at dimensions of fashion and gracefulness, ability between life style dimensions and image on males´ contemporary folk costume. There was significantly different at dimension of gracefulness between life style dimensions and image on females´ contemporary folk costume.
