Let K be a finite cyclic extension of $k=\mathbb{F}_q(T)$ of prime degree ${\ell}$. Let ${\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}$ be the Sylow ${\ell}$-subgroup of the ideal class group ${\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_K$ of $\mathcal{O}_K$. The structure of ${\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}$ as $\mathbb{Z}_{\ell}[G]$/<$N_G$>-module is determined the dimensions $${\lambda}_i\;:=dim_{\mathbb{F}_{\ell}}({\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}^{({\sigma}-1)^{i-1}}/{\tilde{\mathcal{C}}}l_{K,{\ell}}^{({\sigma}-1)^i})$$ for $i{\geq}1$. In this paper we investigate the dimensions ${\lambda}_1$ and ${\lambda}_2$.

The actual vegetation and environmental impact grade of Daekwanrim in Hamyang were investigated and the structure of the plant community was analyzed by the classification of TWINSPAN and three kinds of multivariate ordination (PCA, RA, DCA) techniques.Twenty-eight plots were set up by the clumped sampling method in June of 1990. Carpinus laxiflora and C. tschonoskii communities covered 38% and Quercus species communities covered 39% of the total rea. Environmental impact class 3 and 4 area. Twenty-eight plots were divided into three groups according to the degree of damage by TWINSPAN and ordination techniques. The dominant species in the shrub layer of the heavily damaged site and the light damaged site were Styrax japonica and Sasamorpha purporanscens, so the sucessional trends should be disturbed. As a result of the analysis for the relationship between the stand scores of DCA and the environmental impact class, they had a tendancy to increase from the light damaged to heavily damaged site.

Brown provided a structure theorem for a class of perfect ideals of grade 3 with type ${\lambda}$ > 0. We introduced a skew-symmetrizable matrix to describe a structure theorem for complete intersections of grade 4 in a Noetherian local ring. We construct a class of perfect ideals I of grade 3 with type 2 defined by a certain skew-symmetrizable matrix. We present the Hilbert function of the standard $k$-algebras R/I, where R is the polynomial ring $R=k[v_0,v_1,{\ldots},v_m]$ over a field $k$ with indeterminates $v_i$ and deg $v_i=1$.

Let $k$ be a field containing the field $\mathbb{Q}$ of rational numbers and let $R=k[x_{ij}{\mid}1{\leq}i{\leq}m,\;1{\leq}j{\leq}n]$ be the polynomial ring over a field $k$ with indeterminates $x_{ij}$. Let $I_t(X)$ be the determinantal ideal generated by the $t$-minors of an $m{\times}n$ matrix $X=(x_{ij})$. Eagon and Hochster proved that $I_t(X)$ is a perfect ideal of grade $(m-t+1)(n-t+1)$. We give a structure theorem for a class of determinantal ideals of grade 3. This gives us a characterization that $I_t(X)$ has grade 3 if and only if $n=m+2$ and $I_t(X)$ has the minimal free resolution $\mathbb{F}$ such that the second dierential map of $\mathbb{F}$ is a matrix defined by complete matrices of grade $n+2$.

본 논문에서는 다입력 다출력 비선형 시스템에 대한 관측기 설계 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 관측기 설계를 위한 삼각구조를 갖는 비선형 시스템을 정의한다. 또한 제안한 관측기의 안정도를 증명하는데 중요한 역할을 하는 가관측성 행렬을 다입력 다출력 시스템으로 확장한다. 확장된 가관측성 행렬을 이용하여 상태변수와 시스템 입력의 유계 조건하에서 제안한 관측기가 로컬 영역에서 지수 함수적 수렴성을 가짐을 증명한다. 마지막으로 제안한 결과의 유효성을 증명하기 위하여 모의실험 예제를 제공한다.

The seismic qualification for the class 1E battery of Korea Multipurpose Research Reactor was accomplished by the analysis as well as testing. The full rack consists of 4 similar sections of typical frame structure and contains 60 cells. However, since the seismic qualification was required on the frame structure and only on 3 aged ones among 60 dells, 2 sections of the full rack were assembled as a test rack with 28 cells including the 3 aged cells for an economic test. Seismic analysis for the full rack was carried out using the finite element program ANSYS. The modal parameters identified from the resonance search thest on the test rack were used to the seismic analysis of the full rack. It was confirmed that the test rack could represent the full rack with regards to seismic responses and function of cells, and that the full rack and aged cells were qualified to the given seismic test requirements.

Community structure of benthic macroinvertebrates was investigated from Gigye stream, Pohang, Korea from May to November, 2007. As results, total of 108 species of macroinvertebrates under 49 families, 15 orders, 5 classes in 3 phyla were identified. The number of species was the most abundantly revealed in aquatic insects (class Insecta) with 86 species (82.6%) under 7 orders. The phylum Mollusca (10 species, 9.2%) and the phylum Annelida (6 species, 5.6%) were followed in order. In the class Crustacea, 6 species (5.6%) were distributed. In aquatic insects, the order Odonata was the most abundant taxon (20 species, 23.3%). Seventeen species (19.8%) of the order Ephemeroptera and 16 species (18.6%) of the Coleoptera were followed. The primary dominant species in the stream was Cloeon dipterum of Ephemeroptera. For community analysis, the values of diversity index (H'), evenness index (J'), dominance index (DI) and richness index (RI) were studied and the average values of them were 5.65, 0.84, 0.13, and 13.18, respectively.

Simultaneous optimization of trusses which concurrently takes into account design variables related to the size, shape and topology of the structure is recognized as highly complex optimization problems. In this class of optimization problems, it is possible to encounter several unstable mechanisms throughout the solution process. However, to obtain a feasible solution, these unstable mechanisms somehow should be rejected from the set of candidate solutions. This study proposes triangular unit based method (TUBM) instead of ground structure method, which is conventionally used in the topology optimization, to decrease the complexity of search space of simultaneous optimization of the planar truss structures. TUBM considers stability of the triangular units for 2 dimensional truss systems. In addition, integrated particle swarm optimizer (iPSO) strengthened with robust technique so called improved fly-back mechanism is employed as the optimizer tool to obtain the solution for these class of problems. The results obtained in this study show the applicability and efficiency of the TUBM combined with iPSO for the simultaneous optimization of planar truss structures.

The aim of this paper is to study the structure of the fundamental group of a closed oriented Riemannian manifold with positive scalar curvature. To be more precise, let M be a closed oriented Riemannian manifold of dimension n (4 $\leq$ n $\leq$ 7) with positive scalar curvature and non-trivial first Betti number, and let be $\alpha$ non-trivial codimension one homology class in $H_{n-1}$(M;$\mathbb{R}$). Then it is known as in [8] that there exists a closed embedded hypersurface $N_{\alpha}$ of M representing $\alpha$ of minimum volume, compared with all other closed hypersurfaces in the homology class. Our main result is to show that the fundamental group ${\pi}_1(N_{\alpha})$ is always virtually free. In particular, this gives rise to a new obstruction to the existence of a metric of positive scalar curvature.

A new PC-based Engine Control system (ECS) is developed using an object oriented programming method. This system provides more convenient environment for engine tests, easier user interface and extended functions. A Windows-based ECS software is developed with class, and the class structure is built on encapsulation and abstraction. The closed-loop engine control scheme can be easily constructed by using dynamic link library and multitasking. This means that a user can perform desired experiments without clear knowledge of the hardware structure of the ECS. Also this system allows a user to individually control the ignition and fuel injection for each cylinder in a simple manner such as through a keyboard/mouse or in a real-time operation from a closed-loop control program.
