The aim of this analysis was to investigate the relationship between the level of safety behavior and the level of oral health behavior among Korean children. Data used in this analysis were from the 2005 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). A representative sample of 4,292 children aged from three to eleven years who completed both health interview and health behavior survey. Simple and multiple logistic regression analyses were conducted. All analyses were weighted and SAS 9.1 survey data analysis procedures were used to estimate standard errors accounting for the complex sampling design of the KNHANES. More than seventy percent of children did not keep general safety behaviors except seat on back seat in a car. About seventy five percent of children had experience of preventive oral care during last one year, but about fifty six percent of children brush their teeth twice a day. Socioeconomic status and health behaviors were significantly related in three to six old age group only (p<.05). Generally significant relationship was not found between general safety and oral health behaviors. Among Korean children, general safety and oral health behaviors might be not related each other. Education for general safety behaviors should be underlined for all children. Especially preschool-children with low socioeconomic status need to be educated for healthy behaviors.

Objectives: The reproductive health of female workers has been extensively investigated in South Korea and other countries worldwide. However, few studies have discussed the reproductive health of male workers. In this study, we reviewed the recent literature that reports on the effects of occupational exposure on the reproductive health of male workers and the health of their children. Methods: In May 2020 we used the PubMed search engine to search the literature over the last 10 years and chose case-control, cohort, and cross-sectional studies and reviews. We selected epidemiological studies that investigated the association between pre-pregnant occupational exposure and the reproductive health of male workers and the health of their children. We excluded case reports, non-epidemiological studies (animal experiments, cellular-level experiments, and similar articles), and studies that described postnatal occupational exposure. Results: We eventually selected 23 studies. The studies that included exclusively male workers reported that those employed in the agricultural sector or those exposed to pesticides showed lower blood levels of reproductive hormones and a high risk of lympho-hematopoietic system cancer in their children. Male workers exposed to complex organic solvents and organic compounds showed a high risk of poor semen quality, increased time to pregnancy, decreased blood levels of reproductive hormones, and a high risk of lympho-hematopoietic system cancer in their children. Male workers employed in occupations that involved significant social contact, or in the leather and livestock industries, and in occupations with high levels of exposure to lead and organic solvents showed a high risk of malignancies, including lympho-hematopoietic system cancer, neuroblastoma, and central nervous system tumors in their children. Studies that investigated both male and female workers reported that children of male smelters showed a high risk of premature birth, and children of male workers exposed to metals showed a high risk of hypospadias and cryptorchidism. Children of male welders and workers employed in the glass, ceramic, and tile industries showed a high risk of premature birth. Conclusion: The findings of this study will serve as basic data for further research on male workers' reproductive health and provide a scientific basis for the development of strategies to protect the reproductive health of males employed in high-risk occupations. Moreover, the results of this study may provide guidelines to improve the understanding of and knowledge on male workers' reproductive health.

Backgrounds: The objective of school zones was to define protective areas and to keep children vulnerable to traffic accidents from the risk. The current "Rules on the Designation and Management of School Zones" included provisions on the installation of traffic safety facilities and road facilities, but they were not sufficient for children's traffic safety and there were many difficulties in applying standards to the fields. Purposes: With these problems to be solved, the present study surveyed the current state of safety facilities in school footpaths and school zones around elementary schools and suggested plans to improve them. This study studied various factors like the physical environment and the safety facilities in the school zone. Methods: The present researcher visited four elementary schools selected for this study, and surveyed safety facilities in the school zones around the elementary schools using a schedule prepared by the researcher. Results: According to the results of the case study, all of the four schools were designated as school zones, but the designation appeared nominal without sufficient safety facilities that can ensure children's safety. Based on the results of the survey, suggestions were made to improve traffic facilities in school zones and school footpaths as well as safety guidance.

Children should be provided with the right to be protected by adults, related organizations, or countries because they lack power, situation recognition ability, and situation judgment ability compared to adults. Also, children's accidents and accidents caused by neglect of management occur every year. Currently, there are about 3 to 20 children managed by one teacher in a daycare center, and it is very difficult for teachers to care for all children as many children have to be managed. Especially, when outdoor activities are conducted in open space, children's activities are expanded compared to the in-house, and children who do not follow the control of the in-house teacher may occur, so there is a limit to the control and management of children depending on the viewpoint of teachers. In this study, we designed and implemented IoT terminal and system to provide safety to children and to provide convenience to guardians and teachers by systemizing the location or interval between children and in-service teachers using portable devices that can communicate with each other. It is hoped that this will contribute to the safety of infants.

Children are out future society members but they are not well cared to be safe from various accidents. This is due to facilities were installed upon the children's for adults which can not provide safe traffic environment for children's schooling who are not fare enough experience and matured. "The Rule of declaim for school zone and it's Management"was established in the year 1995 based on the article 11 by the "Road Traffic Low". And 15,136 school zone declared by the above rule. In this study, four elementary schools located in Nowon-gu are selected and analyzed about state of elementary school, scope of school zone, installation of street furniture, and safety signs. The analysis showed that scope of school zone is currently set in 150-meter though the regulation is within 300-meter radius. Therefore, expansion of the scope is required. It is necessary to take control of vehicle during commuting times and holograms which can be noticed in school zone have to be installed as well. Through these improvements, safety zone will be offered to children effectually.
Recently crime against children is emerged as a serious social problem. Children should be protected in social. However, they have become major targets of the crime, as sexual abuse, abduction, abuse, domestic violence, school violence and so on. To solve these problems, it is important to educate crime prevention for children all above. Entertainment is one of the edutainment's elements. It attracts voluntary participation, immersion, and continuous learning from children. Edutainment contents for prevention of crime against children are far less fully studied than that of school subject as Mathematics, English, and so on. There is no serious study on edutainment contents for prevention of crime against children, as well as base study and approach way. Now more than ever, safety needs are strongly demanded in society. Accordingly, study on edutainment contents for prevention of crime against children have been demanded more than ever. In this paper we shall see basic approach principles and planning process of web-based edutainment contents for prevention of crime against children. This study lays the foundation for future work on edutainment contents for prevention of crime against children.
Objective : The paper aims to provide predictive coefficients via BIA for the assessment of body composition in children and adolescents to serve clinical as well as research purposes. Methods : Body composition via dual-energy xray absorptiometry (DXA) and bioelectric impedance as well as other anthropometric index were derived from meaurements on 1026 children and adolescents aged from 6 to 18 years from Beijing City. The best subset regression and principle component analysis were adopted to build the predictive coefficients with the logarithm of body composition via DXA as response variable. Results : Condition index ${\varphi}$ of fat-free mass multiple linear regression achieves 113.49 and 91.18 for males and females respectively, demonstrating severe multicollinearity among anthropometric indexes in children and adolescents. BIA predictive coefficients base on the best subset regression and principle component analysis boast a content predictive value for lean mass ($r^2$ = 0.9697 and 0.9664 for boys and girls respectively, p < 0.0001) and for Fat$\%$ ($r^2$ = 0.7705 and 0.6959 for boys and girls respectively, p < 0.0001). Conclusions : BIA method is applicable for the prediction of body composition for children and adolescents.
This report was prepared to introduce the developed Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Food Safety Management System (iMEAL) for children's foodservices registered in the Center for Children's Foodservice Management and report the results of hygiene monitoring through microbial analysis of two foods simulated and distributed based on this system. The program consisted of three menu screens: a foodservice management and meal inspection function, a refrigerator/freezer monitoring function, and a sanitary/safety inspection log function. Data such as cooking temperature, refrigerator and freezer temperature, salinity, and chlorine concentration were collected using IoT sensors or terminals, and hygiene safety inspection diary results (recorded by cooks) were transmitted to the Internet and stored. The APCs (3.78±0.07 log CFU/g) and E. coli (not detected) in stir-fried pork teriyaki sauce and the heating process met cooking standards. Similarly, the APCs (4.05±0.05 log CFU/g) and E. coli (not detected) in cucumber/chomuchim, which was not heated, also met cooking standards. APCs increased over time when cooked food was left for 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours but remained acceptedable. Based on hygiene monitoring results of these two foods, using the i-MEAL system resulted in the safe production and distribution of children's food.

This study was performed in order to grasp the trends of elementary school children and their parents on their purchasing behavior of processed foods, awareness of food additives and its education experience by analyzing the safety assessment reports of food additives in 2008~2013. The most important factor in purchasing processed foods was safety in both groups followed by nutrition in parents and taste in children, respectively. While purchasing foods, the first item that is checked has been shifted from food additives to the origin of the products. Parents still perceived food additives as the most hazardous factor for food safety; however, recently, children began to regard microbial contaminants as being most hazardous, which is regarded as a desirable educational effect. The most concerned food additives were preservatives, synthetic seasoning and colorants in both groups. However, the awareness level on food additives still remained low as 3.0~3.1/5.0 for parents and 2.4~2.9/5.0 for children. Educational experience on food additives increased in children from 12% in 2008 to 25% in 2013; however, it decreased in parents from 23% in 2008 to 15% in 2013. Information needs for food additives by education and promotion were very high both in parents (4.2~4.5) and children (3.8~4.1). Both groups had an interest in the safety, legal standards of food additives, and foods with food additives, in order. The most reliable resource institutions on food additives were university/research institute and hospital for parents, but, hospital and government for children. The preferred media on food additives were TV and the internet for parents, and school newsletter and TV for children. Overall, the above results demonstrated that the perceptions on food additives did not change much with parents during the last 6 years; however, children's perceptions began to show improvement with the increase of educational experience. Hence, the government needs to make efforts to increase the trust level of consumers by developing educational tools and providing educational experiences including mass media for the promotion of risk communication on food additives.
