한국형 보육교사 직무만족척도(K-CTJSS)의 표준화를 위한 타당화 연구 (Study for Validation of the Korean Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale(K-CTJSS))

  • The purpose of this study was to validate the standardization of the "Korean Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale"(K-CTJSS) that the validity and reliability was evaluated by pretest in 2009. K-CTJSS is composed by 40 items with 6 factors and is responded by 6 point Likert scale. Participants consisted of 1,276 childcare teachers in Korea except Gangwon-do and Jeju-do by purposive sampling. Results were as follows: First, exploratory factor analysis resulted in 40 items composed of 6 factors (director's childcare center management system, social recognition, working environment and welfare, workload and time management, relationship with co-workers, relationship with parents). Second, the confirmatory factor analysis supported a 6 factor structure by resulting over appropriate level of goodness of fit. Third, inter-corelation coefficients among 6 factors were significant level(r = .10~.70). Fourth, the reli ability level of 6 factors by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ were high(.84~.95.). Finally, concurrent validity levels with Childhood Job Satisfaction Survey(Jorde-Bloom, 1989) and the Satisfaction with Life Scale(Diener et al., 1985) were r = .07~.84 and .19~.46, respectively.

보육교사가 인지하는 장애아동의 인권인식과 사회통합에 대한 연구 (Childcare Teacher's Cognition of Human Right Awareness for Handicapped Children and Consciousness of Social Integration)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사가 인지하는 장애아동의 인권인식과 사회통합에 대한 의식을 살펴보기 위하여 G시와 N지역내 어린이집 보육교사 209명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Ver 14.0을 사용하여 각 변인별 기술통계, 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 보육교사의 장애아동 인권에 대한 인식 중에서 생존권, 보호권, 참여권, 발달권은 사회통합에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 인권인식에 영향을 받은 사회적 지지 중 정보적 지지와 물질적 지지는 사회통합에 직접 및 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 보육교사의 인권에 대한 인식이 사회통합에 중요한 요인을 작용함에 따라 인권인식을 위한 체계적인 인권 교육을 실시하고, 다양한 사회적 지지체계 확보의 필요성을 인지함으로써 유아의 인권을 존중하는 사회적 분위기 조성 및 실생활에서 인권을 실천함으로써 보육교사가 아동 인권의 주체자로 성장할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

외국인 유학생의 보육실습 경험 분석: 어려움과 가치를 중심으로 (Analyzing the Child Care Practicum Experience of Foreign Students: Exploring Challenges and Benefits)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the experiences of foreign students in childcare practicum, with a specific focus on identifying the difficulties they encountered and the values they derived from their practicum experiences. The aim was to gain insights that can contribute to improving practicum support for these students. Methods: A total of 6 foreign students were selected as participants for this study using snowball sampling. The data collection period spanned from May 2021 to March 2023, during which semi-structured interviews were conducted and qualitatively analyzed. Results: Foreign students faced challenges in securing practicum placements prior to the start of their program. Communication difficulties necessitated the use of interpreters to interact with children. Additionally, documenting information in a language other than their mother tongue posed a challenge. Consequently, there was a need for tailored training support to address the specific needs of foreign students in childcare practicum. Despite these challenges, the students reported rewarding and valuable experiences during their practicum. These experiences included discovering the teaching identity in Korea, learning about desirable practices in the field, recognizing and addressing personal shortcomings, and developing a sense of vocation for the advancement of infant education in their home countries. Conclusion/Implications: If we actively listen to and provide appropriate support for the specific needs of foreign students in their childcare practicum, they have the potential to become excellent childcare teachers who can foster a harmonious and inclusive environment within our multicultural society.

영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 취업과 보육선택 (The Employment and Child Care Choices of Mothers with Infants)

  • This study examine the employment and childcare choices of mothers of infants. Study participants were 543 mothers, with infants younger than 40 months, in Suncheon. The results were as follows. First, mothers' employment beliefs, regardless of whether they worked outside the home, showed more positive scores regarding employment when they had jobs and/or higher educational levels. Second, mothers' use of child-care was more likely to begin when their children were at younger ages when the mothers worked outside the home, had higher educational levels and/or perceived their employment circumstances as including the ideas "Always have internal conflicts over whether to quit the job or not" and/or "Have never thought of quitting the job". Third, we examined how the features of the childcare environment and childcare type affected the mothers.

Effects of Childcare Teacher's Perception of Organizational Justice, Collectivism and Job Burnout on Turnover Intention

  • This study is focused on the factors that reduce the high turnover rate of early childhood teachers against the backdrop of their poor work environment including long hours, work overload and low wage by identifying the effects of three sub-factors of justice on the collectivistic tendency and those of the job burnout on their turnover intention. To conduct this study, a survey was carried out childcare teachers of the Seoul and Metropolitan Area. Total of 283 valid female questionnaires were collected and utilized for analysis. According to the analysis, both procedural justice and interpersonal justice have positive effects on the collectivistic tendency and decrease the turnover intention. The interpersonal justice decreases the job burnout, whereas the distributive justice statistically significantly increases the job burnout. Also, the collectivistic tendency reduces the turnover intention. The job burnout increases the turnover intention, which is consistent with previous studies. Hence, increasing the interpersonal justice and the collectivistic tendency could be an option for dealing with the issue.

보육교사의 영유아 구강보건 지식과 교육 요구도 (A study on the knowledge and educational needs of infant oral health in childcare teachers)

  • Objectives: In this study, existing knowledge and needs of childcare teachers for developing oral health education plans for infants and young children were investigated. Methods: From March to April 2023, an online questionnaire survey led to the collection of data from 150 childcare teachers. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) revealed that importance and knowledge of oral health education, importance of oral health, and prevention of oral diseases were priority areas, and treatment, symptoms, and causes were priority areas that needed improvement . According to the IPA on the importance of and demand for oral health education support, the importance and demand for an educational plan were both high. Expert education based on educational goals, information sharing, educational environment support, evaluation system, and monitoring was low in importance but high in demand. Conclusions: Oral care habits during infancy are important for maintaining oral health throughout life. Oral care practice should be improved by developing an oral health education plan for childcare teachers to implement.

국·공립 보육시설의 운영유지 항목 분류체계 개발 및 중요도 산정 (Breakdown Structure and Weight Evaluation for Maintenance Items of Public Childcare Facilities)

  • 최근 핵가족화, 맞벌이 부부의 증가로 인해 장시간 보육시설에 맡겨지는 영유아의 수가 증가하고 있으며, 보육시설의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 특히, 외부환경에 민감한 영유아들에게 보육시설의 물리적 환경은 필수적인 관리대상이다. 현재, 국 공립 보육시설은 시설운영 및 유지관리비를 지방자치단체로부터 지원받고 있으나, 불공평한 지원문제를 가지고 있다. 왜냐하면, 시설규모나 유지관리 항목에 따른 시설 개 보수비 산정기준이 부족하고, 보육시설 운영유지를 위해 사용되는 보육시설 세출 예산과목 중 시설비와 시설 장비 유지비가 현실적이지 않기 때문이다. 이러한 이유로 한정된 예산으로 보육시설의 유지보수 항목을 적절하게 배분할 수 있는 방안이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국 공립 보육시설물의 실내외 시설 설비 등 33개의 운영유지항목을 정리하고, 설문조사를 통해 각 운영유지 항목의 중요도를 산정하였다. 이를 통하여, 실무자가 적정한 시설운영유지항목을 바탕으로 한정된 예산으로 보육시설 운영유지를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있도록 지원하고자 하였다.

미취학 자녀를 둔 취업모의 사회적 안녕감에 관한 연구 (Study of the Social Wellbeing of Working Mothers of Preschool Children)

  • This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.

공동육아협동조합 가족의 공동체성 형성 과정 - 조합형 어린이집 한 사례 분석을 통하여 - (The Process of communality Formation Among the Families of Communal Childcare Cooperative - A Case Study ova Communal Childcare Cooperative -)

  • This study aims to understand the Process of Communality formation among the Families of Communal Childcare Cooperative. Ethnographic, in-depth interview and participant observation at field are used as method. The families of communal childcare cooperative form their communality through investment and harmony, making relationship, and struggles and overcoming the struggles. Each family is willing to put in their money and time for an unfamiliar group to organize and manage a community. They head for the same direction accepting the diversity of expectation and thought based on the diversity of environment of each family. They have interactions upon the basis of equality among the families. Sharing their unique cloture such as communal place(teojeon), common issues, same generation, unique terms, specific modes of speaking informally or nicknaming, they accept the diversities and head for the sameness to have a harmony. In the reset of forming relationship, these families transfer successfully from the field of I and my family to that of group. They escape from a sense of priority that concerns their own family first and then others. They come to be able to consider the group first. Besides, they come to assimilate themselves to the group by identification with the group. They come to form their identity and sense of membership of the group recognizing power of group they belong in their families and local society. The process of forming community among the families of cooperative has inescapable struggles. Each family becomes a real host of the cooperative in the process of overcoming the struggles and experiences a growth of individual and group in the process of looking for the ways of overcoming the struggles. In the end, the families cooperates and reestablish their community.

취업모의 직무만족도, 양육스트레스, 결혼만족도, 배우자 양육참여의 관계 (The Casual Relationship among the Father's Participation in Childcare, Job Satisfaction, Parenting Stress, and Marital Satisfaction of Working Mother)

  • The purpose of the present study was to determine the structural relationship among the father's participation in childcare, parenting stress, marital satisfaction, and the job satisfaction of working mothers. This study is based on the 2011 Panel Study on Korean Children, a large, population-based study conducted by the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The participants were 431 working mothers. To ensure the reliability and validity of the questions, descriptive statistics of the frequency, ratio, average, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis were obtained using SPSS 21.0. Exploratory factor, variables correlation, and reliability analysis were also performed. The structural analysis using AMOS 20.0 in the bootstrapping method was conducted to perform a path analysis among the variables and to assess the suitability of the model. A hypothetical model was proposed, which was composed of a father's participation in childcare as an exogenous variable and parenting stress, marital satisfaction, and job satisfaction of a working mother as the endogenous variables. The results of this study are as follows: First, a father's participation in childcare and the parenting stress and marital satisfaction of a working mother affect the job satisfaction of the mother. The most influential factor is marital satisfaction. Second, marital satisfaction has mediating effects between the father's participation in childcare and the parenting stress and job satisfaction of the working mother. Third, parenting stress does not affect job satisfaction.
