Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between structural and process difficulties experienced by childcare center directors in operating childcare centers and to explore characteristics of childcare centers that affect the path. Methods: The participants were 309 childcare center directors, and data were collected through a mobile survey method. Descriptive statistics and SEM were implemented using SPSS and AMOS. Results: Unsupported childcare centers and capacity aggravated structural difficulties in operation of childcare centers, while the number of enrolled children and the enrollment rate reduced such difficulties that were reported by directors. In the case of labor cost supported centers and childcare centers with a high enrollment rate reported a high level of process difficulties. Because the effect of structural difficulties on process difficulties were significant, the indirect influences of structural difficulties that mediated the influences of general background characteristics on process difficulties were also significant. Conclusion/Implications: This study shows that difficulties in operating childcare centers could be considered in terms of structure and process aspects. This study is also meaningful in that it suggests that the characteristics of individual childcare centers should be emphasized in a customized way to alleviate such difficulties.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition and qualities of early childhood coding education in childcare center teachers. Methods: 158 childcare center teachers responded to 56 questions on a questionnaire extracted and revised from previous research. Frequency analysis and one-way ANOVA were applied for the data analysis. Results: Many teachers agreed that the software education policy was timely appropriate. Most of them needed the education in order to improve children's creativity and problem solving ability, and answered that it is appropriate to start the education at age 5. Most of them recognized that small group and free choice activities, play activities linked with daily life topics and coding programs by the childcare center teachers were desirable as educational methods. Provision of educational HW/SW environment was a relatively important element for effective implementation of the education. The coding educational qualities perceived by the teachers were not high, and were related to the age of the children they were in charge of and their computer literacy. Conclusion/Implications: The recognition of childcare center teachers was relatively positive, but it is necessary to educate the teachers to improve their recognition and qualities of the education in consideration of teachers' variables.

This study examined the extent to which childcare methods of infant classroom childcare teachers who respect infant rights in the everyday teaching curriculum at day-care centers occurs. To achieve these objectives, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 210 infant classroom childcare teachers who were in charge of the day-care center classrooms located in [G] city of [J] province. The results of the research confirmed that first there were no statistically significant differences when verifying the extent to which childcare methods of infant classroom childcare teachers who respect infant rights in the everyday teaching curriculum at day-care centers according to the final education level, professional experience, age, and education major of the infant classroom childcare teacher. On the other hand, the results confirmed that when analyzing for arrival time for infant classroom childcare instruction at the day-care center and for the time spent taking the infant to and from the bathroom, the infant classroom childcare teachers who had graduated from 2 year colleges showed more respect for infant rights compared to that of infant classroom childcare teachers who had graduated from 4 year universities, and for the arrival time for infant classroom childcare instruction at the day-care center and nap times, the infant classroom childcare teachers who were above 50 years of age showed more respect for infant rights compared to that of infant classroom childcare teachers who were in their 30s and 40s. The results of the research confirmed that there were statistically significant differences for both the age and education major of the infant classroom childcare teachers. When examining each of the sub-factor, the age of the infant classroom childcare teachers, respect for the infant's opinion, respect for individuality, and for information provision, infant classroom childcare teachers older than 50 years of age were shown to exercise a higher level of respect for the infant according to the rule of prioritizing the infant compared to infant classroom childcare teachers in their 30s and 40s, and infant classroom childcare teachers who majored in infant education-related majors exercised a higher level of respect for the infant for respecting freedom and autonomy compared to that of infant classroom childcare teachers who majored in welfare and childcare-related fields. The results of the research confirmed a statistically significant static correlation between the two related variables. Therefore, this suggests that the more childcare methods of infant classroom childcare teachers who respect infant rights in the everyday teaching curriculum at day-care centers, the more childcare methods of infant classroom childcare teachers who respect infant rights occurred according to the rule of prioritizing the infant. These results can be used to establish both quantitatively and qualitatively an excellent and balanced respect for infant rights.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationships among childcare teachers' emotional intelligence, daycare center directors' emotional leadership, and teacher-infant interactions. Also, this study examines whether a daycare center director's emotional leadership would mediate the correlation between a childcare teacher's emotional intelligence and teacher-infant interactions. A questionnaire was given to 293 childcare teachers. Using SPSS version 21.0, the data were analyzed for Pearson's correlation, hierarchical regression analysis, the Sobel-test, and the meditation effect proposed by Baron and Kenny. The findings are as follows. First, there was a positive correlation between a childcare teacher's emotional intelligence, the director's emotional leadership, and teacher-infant interactions. Second, the influence on teacher-infant interactions from directors' emotional leadership was relatively greater than childcare teachers' emotional intelligence. Finally, the emotional leadership of daycare center directors partially mediated the relationship between childcare teachers' emotional intelligence and teacher-infant interactions. This study provides significant empirical data for improving childcare.
