Children 5 and 8 years of age and undergraduates constructed stories using the wordless picture book, "Frog, where are you?" On a separate task, they explained the good and bad behaviors of others. The constructed stories of task 1 and responses of task 2 were audiotaped, analyzed by clauses, and then coded into the mind-related categories. Results showed that on both tasks the subjects used the actor's desires and intentions much more than the other categories of mind. Undergraduates used more mind-related expressions in making their stories than children, but they were not different from children in considering the minds of others for behavior explanations. Positive but non-significant correlations were found between scores in constructing stories and scores in behavior explanations.

This study investigates the effect of in-law relationship on the marital adjustment of married couples by considering family-oriented Korean culture. Previous in-law studies did not consider the influence of another party who did not attend the survey due to sampling limitations. However, the marital adjustment of married couple and the satisfaction of the relationship with parents-in-law are two-way relationships that affect each other and are not one-sided relationships. By considering the non-independence of the couple's data, Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) was utilized to examine the structural relationship between marital adjustment (marital satisfaction and marital stability) and in-law relationship quality (relationship satisfaction between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law for wives, relationship satisfaction between mother-in-law and son-in-law for husbands) of 203 married couples. Results indicated that a high satisfaction of wives' in-law relationship increased personal marital adjustment as well as husbands' marital adjustment. The husbands' positive relationship with in-laws also increased personal marital adjustment and their wives' marital adjustment. The results of this study can be used as basic data for program development and counseling for healthy in-law relationship as well as educational data for couples intending to marry.

Psychological resilience in children preventing them from being overwhelmed by traumatic events and nurture their healthy development is universal and powerful. Movies about fairy tales provide children with the notion of the existence of the power and various manifestations. Even though the traumatic event affects the development of the child, with a good supporting system and by providing healthy internal and external factors to reconstruct the event, the traumatized child may accept the event objectively, develop the healthier part of the ego, and even sublimate the traumatic events. As the children participate in movies or plays, several protectors can be devised. The child prepares the role under a "promise" of virtual reality, performs the role recognizing that the traumatic event is not real, and returns to real life as the role or play ends. When these protectors are provided, it is considered that resilience can function properly and the role does not have a negative influence on the development of a child.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and conduct effective schemes to direct drama activities for three-year-old children and to examine its influence on them. This research subjects comprised 23 three-year-old children and 2 teachers attending classes at Gureum at SanDeul kindergarten in Seoul, Korea. The researcher first recognized that problems existed in the ways in which children's leading roles were limited by the actor's roles themselves and they therefore were constrained in their use of dramatic expressions while performing drama activities. The researcher also recognized that children's drama activities integrated with traditional culture were largely deficient. For more effectively direction of children's drama activities, action research method was conducted over two sessions. First, certain factors of plays and traditional culture were incorporated within children's drama activities. Second, certain factors of Madangguk and traditional culture were also incorporated within children's drama activities. Through undertaking this research project, children were given the opportunity to actively participated in drama activities, trained their range of imaginative expressions, improved their cooperation with peers and enhanced their interest in traditional culture. The research suggests that children's drama activities when integrated with plays and Madangguk could effectively enhance children's artistic and educational skill.

최근 인천의 어린이집 사건, 원영이 사건 등 아동학대 문제가 사회적으로 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 그러나 아동학대 문제는 어제 오늘의 일이 아니며, 국내만의 문제도 아니다. 국가 통계 데이터 포털에 의하면, 19세 이하의 인구는 줄어드는 추세이지만 아동학대 신고건수는 날이 갈수록 증가하고 있다. 그러나 신고 이후의 상담건수는 큰 변동 없이 일정한 수준이다. 아동학대 문제의 심각성으로 인해 관련 연구와 대책에도 불구하고 더 악화되고 있는 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 아동학대에 관한 선행연구를 바탕으로 아동학대에 관한 연구모형을 설계하고 빅데이터 분석을 통해 아동학대 감소방안을 제안하였다. 가설 검정 결과 학대 행위자의 특성, 아동 특성이 아동학대의 영향, 근로형태가 아동학대에 유의미한 영향을 끼친 것으로 분석되었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 교육 및 경제적 지원 대책 등 아동학대 감소방안을 결론으로 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlations among physical, relational aggression and friendship quality and the similarity of perceptions of friendship quality between friends. Moreover, APIM was applied to examine the actor and partner effects of aggression on friendship quality. The subjects were 339 5th grade children recruited from 2 public primary schools located in Gyeonggi province. The results demonstrated that there were significant correlations between friendship quality and both types of aggression. The perceptions of help, intimacy, emotional stability, and conflict between friends were significantly similar. Finally, there were significant self-effects of physical aggression on friendship conflict. Moreover, there were self-and partner-effects of relational aggression on friendship conflict.

This study aimed at examining the mediation effects of depressive symptoms on the association between social activity participation and marital satisfaction among couples in later life. The study included 1,196 married couples aged 65 or above who participated in the 7th Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging in 2018. The study variables were husbands' and wives' social activity participation, marital satisfaction, and depressive symptoms. Covariates were individual age, education level, subjective health, couples' household income, and number of children. The Actor-Partner Interdependence Mediation Model (APIMeM) and bootstrapping techniques were used to test the significance of the mediating impacts of depressive symptoms based on the dyadic data structure. The results showed that for both husbands and wives, active participation in social activities had significant effects on increasing marital satisfaction through lowering depressive symptoms. However, only the participation of husbands in social activities was positively associated with their own marital satisfaction by reducing their own and their partner's depressive symptoms. These findings suggest that the active social participation of individuals salient for promoting the quality of marital relationships in later life, particularly for preventing their own and their spouse's depressive symptoms.

Nurses in a children's hospital have to meet a special condition with their younger patients who need continuous supervision and cares. The planning of the ward where the nurse as well as the patient and his/her caregivers stay all day long should cover all the users need. This study focused on the nurse's need for the ward in children's hospital. The nurse stay longer than any users in hospital and their treatment have to be based on deep understanding of their patients. The survey research followed the literature review on the children's hospital and the nurses' task and behavior. 119 nurses answered the structural questionnaire and their answers were analyzed using the statistical process such as basic descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and actor analysis. Results and conclusions are as follows. (1) The subjects least satisfied with the accessibility for the children and the nature-and child-friendly design features among physical environment design factors of the hospital. (2) The Subject regarded the patients' room to a private place of the patients and their caregivers not to the work places. (3) The design factors of the nursing station were classified into four: the functionality-, the privacy-, the supervision-and the restfulness-factor. The functionality and supervision factor were highly required as a workplace, the privacy factor between the patients, their caregivers and subject were also represented high score, but the restfulness factor were least required.

대한민국 영화에서 대표적으로 국민배우라는 칭송을 받고 있고, 현재 까지 120여 편의 영화에서 다양한 역할을 맡아 연기를 해온 국민배우 안성기의 연기 패턴과 서브텍스트에 대해 고찰해보고자 했다. 그는 다섯 살이라는 어린 나이에 김기영 감독의 영화 <황혼 열차>에 아역배우로 데뷔를 하게 되었다. 오로지 스크린을 통해서만 관객들에게 캐릭터를 전달해주는 영화배우 안성기가 그동안 표현해 왔던 연기 패턴에서 비범함, 코믹 연기, 멜로 연기 별로 나누어 분석해 보았다. 그리고 정지영 감독의 영화 <부러진 화살>에서 안성기가 맡아서 연기한 김경호 역할의 서브텍스트를 분석하여 각각의 장면에서 어떤 요소들이 준비되어 잘 들어나 있는지를 살펴보았다. 일반적으로 연기의 본질은 연극과 영화에서 비슷하다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 영화에서는 쇼트의 특성을 이해하고 준비해서 연기를 실행해야 한다는 차이가 있다. 그러기 위해서는 이러한 영화만의 기술적 특성을 알고, 서브텍스트의 표현 방법을 꾸준히 연습하여 드러내는 것이 우선이다. 본 연구에서는 영화배우들이 인물의 특성에 맞는 캐릭터의 이해와 준비를 통하여 서브텍스트를 드러내야 하는지에 대하여 살펴보았다.
