재생 펌프의 날개 각도에 따른 성능 변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation on the Hydraulic Performance of the Regenerative Pump According to the Blade Angle)

  • The regenerative pump is a kind of turbomachine which is capable of developing high pressure rise at relatively lower flow rates compared to the centrifugal and axial pumps. Although the efficiency of regenerative pumps is much lower than other turbomachines, still they have been widely used in many industrial applications for working at low specific speeds. There are some theoretical models to analysis the pump performance, however, the effect of the blade angle on the pump performance has not been covered in any model to date. In the present study, experimental study on the regenerative pump performance according to the impeller blade angle and its shape has been carried out. The straight radial blades with forward, backward and chevron blades which have inclined angles of $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ were tested. The pump performance characteristics as the pressure head, efficiency were obtained depending on the flow rate for every impeller, and their results, expressed in appropriate non-dimensional coefficients, were compared and analysed in detail. From the experimental results, it was found that the pressure head and the efficiency depend strongly on the blade angles as well as the blade type. These experimental data has made it possible to better understand the effects of the blade angle on the pump performance, and widen the applicability of the current performance analysis and design models with including the effect of blade angles.

  • Experimental study has been carried out on the characteristics of pressure drop and heat transfer of brazed plate heat exchangers using R-22. Data are presented for the following range of variables: the mass flux (40∼90kg/$m^2$s), chevron angle ($20^{\circ}$, $35^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$) and inlet pressure of the refrigerant (1.4 and 1.6MPa). For both subcooled and two-phase flow, as chevron angle increases, pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient decrease. Condensation heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop were compared with the previously proposed correlations. Among therm, Traviss correlation agreed with experimental results within -40%∼-84% for heat transfer coefficient and -59%∼62% for pressure drop.

  • We have studied electro-optic properties and layer deformations in the smectic phases of 4-(6ethoxy-l-trifluoromethyl-hexyloxycarbonyl)-phenyl-4-Nonyloxybiphenyl-4-carboxylat ( TFMEOHPNBC ) having fluorine attached to one of its benzene rings by electro-optical and small angle x-ray scattering techniques. 3 and 5${\mu}m$ thick test cells were prepared using beryllium plates to minimize x-ray beam absorption. Layer structure and orientation was studied while changing the amplitude and frequency of the applied electric field as a function of cell temperature. We observed that the chevron layer tilt angle is reduced and layer spacing is increased as stabilizing in antiferroelectric phase. This result is extraordinary that there is dimerization in antiferroelectric phase. We also found that there is a threshold electric field that changes the chevron structure to bookshelf structure. This threshold electric field depends on the frequency and temperature as shown in Fig.1. We will discuss the dynamics of layer orientation as determined from the x-ray, electro-optic and dielectric spectroscopy.

판형열교환기의 열전달특성 및 압력강하에 관한 해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis on Heat Transfer Characteristics and Pressure Drop in Plate Heat Exchanger)

  • This study aims at numerically analyzing on heat transfer the characteristics and pressure drop of plate heat exchanger(PHE) using the Phoenics 3.1 VR Editor for the standard k-$\varepsilon$ model. Computations have been carried out for a range of chevron angle from $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$, inlet velocity from 0.03m/s to 0.63m/s and the height of corrugation from 0.0045m to 0.0060m. The results show that both of heat transfer performance and pressure drop increase as chevron angle increases. This is because higher troughs produce higher turbulence and a higher heat transfer coefficient in the liquids flowing between the plates. As inlet velocity from 0.03m/s to 0.63m/s increases, heat transfer performance and pressure drop increase parabolically. As the height of corrugation increases, both of heat transfer performance and pressure drop decrease with the decrease of velocity. And the pressure drop decreases and the friction factor increases as the height of corrugation increases.

  • 본 연구에서는 입구영향과 주름높이가 고려된 판형열교환기의 유동 및 열전달특성을 수치적으로 해석하였다. 여러 개의 단위셀을 연결한 다중셀에 입구부와 출구부가 부착된 모델을 기본으로 입구부의 길이변화($L_{cell}{\sim}5L_{cell}$)에 따른 모델과 P/H비 변화($2{\leq}P/H{\leq}4$)에 따른 모델에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치조건은 쉐브론각 $15^{\circ}$, 주름피치 24mm이며, $1,000{\leq}Re{\leq}10,000$이다. 마찰인자는f=$CRe^m$의 형태로, Colburn j 계수는 j=$CRe^m$의 형태로 상관관계식을 제시하였다. 이러한 상관관계식은 향후 판형열교환기 설계시에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 야간 교통사고는 도로 조명이 적절하지 못할 때 증가되는 경향이 있고, 차량이 도로 밖으로 이탈하는 사고는 시선유도 시설의 부재로 인한 대표적인 사고의 유형이라 할 수 있다. 곡선부의 교통사고와 인적피해를 줄이기 위해 운전자의 안전운행을 유도하고 교통소통 증진과 도로상의 안전을 도모하는 도로안전시설의 설치가 시급한 실정이다. 이에 교통량이 상대적으로 적은 지방부 도로에 대한 도로조명 설치와 같은 과다한 지출을 줄이고 오히려 비용 절감효과는 물론 시설물 설치가 용이한 시선유도시설(Delineators)의 설치기준이 요구되어진다. 곡선부에서 운전자의 시선을 유도하기 위한 시설은 시선유도표지(Delineator), 갈매기표지(Chevron Alignment Sign), 표지병(Raised Pavement Marker)이 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 곡선부의 선형 변화에 대한 정보를 가장 효율적으로 전달하는 시설물인 갈매기표지와 차량의 차로이탈 및 차로침범 예방시설물인 표지병을 대상으로 설치기준에 대해 검토하고 운전자의 시각행태 및 차로침범을 고려하여 안전하고 효율적인 설치기준을 제시하였다.

60세 이상의 고령에서의 중족골 절골술을 이용한 무지 외반증 치료 (Treatment for Hallux Valgus with Chevron Metatarsal Osteotomy in Patients over 60 Years Old)

  • Purpose: To treat hallux valgus in old age patients with chevron metatarsal osteotomy and to see the subsequent clinical and radiological outcomes. Materials and Methods: 23 cases of 18 hallux valgus patients of age 60 years or older who received proximal or distal corrective osteotomy from April 2007 to August 2009 and were followed up for at least 1 year were included in the study. The mean age at operation was 65 years (range, 60~81 years), and the mean follow-up period was 2 years and 6 months (range, 1 year~3 years 6 months). Clinical outcome was assessed with the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score, complications, satisfaction rate, as well as measurements and comparison of pre- and postoperative hallux valgus angles, the 1st~2nd intermetatarsal angle, and the position of hallucal medial sesamoid bone. Results: The AOFAS score was improved from preoperative average of 35.1 (range, 13-47) to average 85.1 at last follow-up (range, 75-100). Patients were satisfied about the operation in 21 cases (91.3%). Preoperative hallux valgus angle was $31.7^{\circ}$ on average (range, $19.1^{\circ}-48.9^{\circ}$), and $4.9^{\circ}$ on average at last follow-up (range, $0.3^{\circ}-21.2^{\circ}$). The 1st~2nd intermetatarsal angle was $14.4^{\circ}$on average (range, $8.7^{\circ}-25.7^{\circ}$) and $3.1^{\circ}$ on average at last follow-up (range, $0.6^{\circ}-7.5^{\circ}$). The hallucal medial sesamoid bone position was improved from preoperative average 3.5 (range, 3-4) to postoperative average 1.0 (range, 0-2). Conclusion: Proximal and distal metatarsal osteotomy treatment yielded good clinical and radiological outcomes in old age hallux valgus patients.

주름높이의 변화를 고려한 판형열교환기의 완전발달유동 및 열전달 수치해석 (Numerical Simulation of the Fully Developed Flow and Heat Transfer of a Plate Heat Exchanger Taking into Account Variation in the Corrugation Height)

  • 본 연구에서는 주름높이가 고려된 판형열교환기의 완전발달유동 및 열전달특성을 수치적으로 해석하였다. 여러 개의 단위셀(5개 또는 7개)을 연결한 다중셀에 입구부와 출구부가 부착된 모델을 기본으로 P/H비 변화($2.0{\leq}P/H{\leq}4.0$)에 따른 모델에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 작동유체는 물이며, 수치조건은 쉐브론각 $20^{\circ}$, $300{\leq}Re{\leq}1,500$이다. 그리고 마찰인자는 $f=CRe^m$의 형태로, Colburn 계수는 $j=CRe^m$의 형태로 상관관계식을 제시하였다. 수치해석 결과 완전발달유동은 세 번째 셀부터 시작되었으며, 누셀트수는 P/H비가 작을수록 큰 값을 나타냈다.

주름 각도와 피치에 따른 판형 열교환기 전열특성에 관한 수치해석 연구 (A Numerical Analysis Study on Plate Heat Exchanger Heat Transfer Characteristic by Corrugation Angle and Pitch)

  • For numerical analysis of the plate heat exchanger, a lot of time are required in modeling work and calculation. Whereas, this paper was purposed to identify characteristic of the plate heat exchanger through simplification of modeling by interpreting the numerical analysis proximity with the actual model. This study was also examined temperature difference between inlet side and outlet side, inner pressure drop, heat transfer area of plate and change of heat transfer coefficient on the plate depending on the inner corrugation angle and corrugation pitch of a herring bon pattern of the plate heat exchanger among chevron types of the plate exchanger.

이용자 감성분석을 통한 하이패스 차로 노면표시 설계 기법 (Designing Pavement Marking for Hi-pass Lane Based on Kansei Engineering)

  • 본 연구에서는 하이패스 차로의 속도감소를 유도하기 위한 적절한 노면표시를 도출하기 위하여 감성공학적 분석방법을 활용하여 연구를 수행하였다. 현재 고속도로 영업소에서는 감속유도를 위하여 하이패스 차로에 갈매기 노면표시를 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 하이패스 차로의 감속유도를 위하여 갈매기 노면표시 및 Peripheral Transverse Bar(PT bar)에 대한 효과평가를 실시하고, 두 가지 노면표시를 조합하여 6가지 시나리오를 도출하였다. 도출된 시나리오에 대하여 이용자의 Perception 측정 및 분석을 통한 노면표시 설계 시 Human Factor를 반영할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하였다. 분석결과 빗살무늬의 PT bar 및 $60^{\circ}$ 각도의 갈매기 노면표시의 조합시나리오가 가장 적절한 노면표시로 선정되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 하이패스 차량들의 통과속도를 감소시켜 고속도로의 안전성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
