Morphological and Molecular Characteristics of Clinostomid Metacercariae from Korea and Myanmar

  • Morphological and molecular characterization of clinostomid metacercariae (CMc) was performed with the specimens collected in fish from Korea and Myanmar. Total 6 batches of clinostomid specimens by the fish species and geographical localities, 5 Korean and 1 Myanmar isolates, were analyzed with morphological (light microscopy and SEM) and molecular methods (the cytochrome c oxidase 1 gene and internal transcribed spacer 1/5.8S rRNA sequence). There were some morphological variations among CMc specimens from Korea. However, some morphometrics, i.e., the size of worm body and each organ, ratio of body length to body width, and morphology of cecal lumens, were considerably different between the specimens from Korea and Myanmar. The surface ultrastructures were somewhat different between the specimens from Korea and Myanmar. The CO1 sequences of 5 Korean specimens ranging 728-736 bp showed 99.6-100% identity with Clinostomum complanatum (GenBank no. KM923964). They also showed 99.9-100% identity with C. complanatum (FJ609420) in the ITS1 sequences ranging 692-698 bp. Meanwhile, the ITS1 sequences of Myanmar specimen showed 99.9% identity with Euclinostomum heterostomum (KY312847). Five sequences from Korean specimens clustered with the C. complanatum genes, but not clustered with Myanmar specimens. Conclusively, it was confirmed that CMc from Korea were morphologically and molecularly identical with C. complanatum and those from Myanmar were E. heterostomum.

  • As a kind of industry-university cooperation, the contract-based department for nurturing the employers that meets the needs of industrial society has started for about 20 years. In particular, interest in contract departments as part of the SMEs' human resource development support is increasing with the newly starting government, so it is expecting that the number of new contract departments will increase for the time being. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of each contract department according to the learner type and contract method, and to suggest procedures and considerations for the establishment of re-education-type and third party contract-type contract departments suitable for SMEs. In particular, the authors would like to present the case of K University for how to design the curriculum to create a virtuous cycle by harmoniously reflecting the position of the operating institution as a supplier and the requirements of many companies as consumers.

  • Since the introduction of e-Government in Korea, government departments and public sectors produced a diversity of electronic records. In addition, they generated new electronic records (we are called composite electronic records(CERs)) which are composed of disparate electronic records. Typical examples of CERs are the records of Social Network Services (SNS). Currently, most of the government departments in Korea uses the Facebook Page to announce their policy and to collect feedback from the people. In addition, many CERs are created and produced. However, the government of Korea has no preservation policies about CERs. It causes problems with losing or neglecting a lot of information. Therefore, we presented the type and the characteristics of CERs which are produced by government departments of Korea. Moreover, we analyze and represent the researches of CERs preservation. Finally, we proposed the mechanism to preserve of CERs in Korea.

The Current Status of 3D Printing Use in Fashion Industry and Utilization Strategies for Fashion Design Departments (패션 산업 내 3D 프린팅 사용 현황 및 패션디자인과 내의 활용방안)

  • This study explored cases of 3D printing utilization in domestic and overseas fashion industries, and presented utilization strategies for fashion design departments in universities in future by grasping characteristics of newly appearing distribution types through 3D printing. Cases of producing costumes using 3D printing in fashion industry comprised a bikini using the material of Nylon12 that continuum fashion demonstrated, innovative 3D costumes by Iris Van Herpen, Tweed Suit using the material that Chanel manufactured with 3D printing technology, but they were limited to experimental fashion works due to limitations of 3D printer material and printing size. On the other hand, in fashion accessories, with jewelry and shoes at the head of the list, MCM and Kipling also demonstrated bags using this technology, and Elvis Pompilio and Gabriela Ligenza demonstrated 3D printing hat products as well. Except the above, as in glasses and neckties utilizing 3D printing, owing to reduced limitations of time, size and material, 3D printing was found to be utilized in fashion accessories other than costumes. Recently there has been a new consumption and distribution structure coming up focusing on 3D printing technology. That is, in overseas countries, content platforms sharing products modeled by oneself has rapidly appeared, and in our country as well, funnypoly, a 3D content platform appeared in 2015. The appearance of these new types of distribution structures means that the common people can produce design contents, and we believe that it may bring about a change in the traditional way of distribution structure. To walk in step with this change, it is believed that it is necessary for fashion design departments to raise college faculty members who can educate 3D printing, develop curriculum to educate 3D printing, and develop experiential programs connected with middle and high schools.

  • This paper explores alternative organizational models for ICT units of local governments, while analyzing the task contents, organizational structures and work relations of ICT departments in 17 Korean metropolitan provinces. We employed both quantitative and qualitative methods including in-depth interview, open-ended survey, and hard data analyses to collect a wide variety of information on organizational performance, human resource development, and task characteristics of ICT units. As strategies to enhance task contents, organizational structures and work relations of ICT departments, we suggest four ideal ICT organizational models for local governments: Relation Model, Resource Model, Curation Model and Creation Model.

  • Although the medicine is developed to support the quality of treatment, if we do not increase the quality of health care for customer satisfaction, customer satisfaction does not rise any more. The competitiveness of the hospital slows down since the visitor to the hospital is reduced. It is medical reason that the focus of the medical information moves from doctors to customers. This study analyzed websites, the private hospital located in Busan. The websites provide contact information; web-based information from health services is increasing. Statistical analysis was carried out cross analysis using available variables on websites by using the SPSS 21.0 for Version. Departments were also significant, depending on the health services by the external contact elements and contact elements designed to study the problem in analyzing the results presented in this study. This means the contact is different by departments. The results of this study is to better consider the Departments website when making specific characteristics we expect the increase of health care quality and patient satisfaction.

Dosimetric Characteristics of 6 MV Modified Beams by Physical Wedges of a Siemens Linear Accelerator

  • Physical wedges still can be used as missing tissue compensators or filters to alter the shape of isodose curves in a target volume to reach an optimal radiotherapy plan without creating a hotspot. The aim of this study was to investigate the dosimetric properties of physical wedges filters such as off-axis photon fluence, photon spectrum, output factor and half value layer. The photon beam quality of a 6 MV Primus Siemens modified by 150 and 450 physical wedges was studied with BEAMnrc Monte Carlo (MC) code. The calculated present depth dose and dose profile curves for open and wedged photon beam were in good agreement with the measurements. Increase of wedge angle increased the beam hardening and this effect was more pronounced at the heal region. Using such an accurate MC model to determine of wedge factors and implementation of it as a calculation algorithm in the future treatment planning systems is recommended.

Comparison of Recognition of Chemical Substances of Cosmetics Manufacturing Workers (화장품 제조업 근로자의 화학물질 인식도 비교)

  • To identify the relationship between types of employment(regular and non-regular group) and departments classification (administration, product and research group) and the levels of recognition of chemical substances, a total of 117 workers in cosmetics workplaces. Mainly, regular group and research group showed higher recognition of chemical substances (PPE, ventilation, chemical management, hazards in handling chemicals, skin contact) than non-regular group and administration, product group, but In some cases, production and administrative groups were high. Descriptive statistics(SAS ver9.2)was performed. the results of recognition of chemical substances were analyzed the mean and standard deviation by t-test, and anova, (P=0.05). These results cosmetics manufacturing workplaces have normal level of the perception of chemical substances. In most of the employment types, the regular workers showed high recognition, and the working departments showed high recognition in the research and production groups. Therefore, OEM and ODM cosmetics manufacturers regularly identify characteristics and needs of workplaces and workers, and suggest the development of experience and practiced education programs and risk assessment tools that can raise worker awareness.

A study of descriptive forms of catalogue and searching method for dissertations (학위논문의 목록기술형식 및 검색방법 고찰)

  • In college or university libraries, the data of dissertations is one of the important academic information data. But traditional cataloging rules of dissertations and the method of operation is not only didn't unify but also fit to actual circumstances of library. This reason make librarians waste of time and the situation about piling up of unprocessed data don't make library services properly. In this papers, to analyze the above mentioned problems, I have investigated with questionaries about actual examples of construction methods of call number and item describing form of dissertations which is being used now in every college library in Korea. With the replied 61 questionaries which was compared with and investigated to merits and faults about library itself, I have showed revision ways. The characteristics of the revision ways are the followings. 1) Deleted informal and unmeaning descriptions and simplified describing. 2) Recommended to operating one or two kinds describing items which are only necessary. 3) Made call number specifically and then it make us easy to identify data and simultaneously call number can do its original action. 4) shelving range of data is made to colleges, years, departments, majors but in same departments, author's name is recommended by Korean alphabetical ordering. Besides, for proper and systematic management and operating of data. It must be necessary to recommend that reading systems of closed shelves type, incoming and outgoing and shelving by fulltime exclusive charged librarian, separate management of items and data are recommended.

  • In the research-oriented university there are various laboratories in the departments according to a major field of study. Under these circumstances the budget to purchase experimental facilities has only to be distributed among research teams and then is spent within the confines of it without rein. However, in case of college the budget for experimental facilities needs to be considered other allocation methods because of no laboratory being managed by professor. In this paper the methodology for the rational selection of experimental facilities for college is proposed. It is composed of the following ; (1) the rational allocation method of the budget for experimental facilities in consideration of the characteristics of individual departments, and (2) the evaluation and selection of the alternative experimental facilities submitting in each department. To decide rationally importance of estimation index for the determination of budget and equipment is applied the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) technique. First the proposed methods are presented and then discussed with simulation results.
