  • To get more realistic wind turbine torque characteristic, it is important to consider many parameters about wind turbine system. One of them is the tower effect which is occurred when a blade is bypassing the wind turbine tower and influences shaft torque fluctuation. In this paper, to emulate the similar torque performance of wind turbine, the wind turbine simulation and experiment with torque fluctuation by blade tower effect are implemented and verified. The simulation model is based on MATLAB Simulink.

  • This paper performs a comparison analysis of two types of HVDC system in Jeju power system. A traditional HVDC transmission system had been composed of line commutated converter based on thyristors and the development of semiconductors enables to apply voltage source converter using IGBTs. The detailed parameters of Jeju power system were considered to make a similar condition with real system in real time digital simulator. Two types of HVDC transmission system were modeled and simulated to compare their characteristics in Jeju power system. The simulation results demonstrate that the VSC-HVDC system has more stable performance due to the fast response speed than LCC-HVDC when the transmission capacity was fluctuated.

  • In order to predict the accuracy of the linear motion machine tools, the force characteristics such as the detent force, the attraction force and the moment are estimated by analytical method or FEM. In this paper, we proposed the analytical calculation process for the force characteristics of a linear motor. The analytical results are good agreement with FEM one. They could be used for the precision prediction simulator with the information of linear bearings, encoders, etc.

  • Mixed combustion expert system is implemented to prevent various problems in combustion process by increasing rate of mixing low calorific value coal to reduce costs. This system shows optimal coal mixture rate by interfacing CBS(Coal Blending Screener, Implementing slagging and fouling factors by coal characteristic and algorithm), SGE(Stream Generate Expert, Combustion process model) and CFS(Configured Fireside Simulator, Computational fluid dynamics).

  • 본 논문에서는 Pogo Pin의 신호 전달 특성을 Ansys사의 Full wave simulation tool(HFSS)를 사용하여 분석하였고, 측정을 위해서 필요한 interface(Guide PCB)의 특성은 2-port de-embedding 방법을 이용하여 제거하였다. Guide PCB의 특성이 제거된 Pogo Pin만의 시뮬레이션 결과와 circuit simulator인 Agilent사의 ADS를 사용하여 Guide PCB의 특성을 de-embedding한 결과를 비교 검증하였고, Pogo Pin의 시뮬레이션 결과와 PCB의 특성을 de-embedding한 결과가 0~8 GHz까지 일치하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The Electromagnetic Interference(EMI) in railway applications is largely due to doing the power conversion for traction and Auxiliary system on the Highspeed Electric Multiple Unit-400X(HEMU-400X). In order to research on EMI in railway applications, it were included how much the HEMU-400X generates it and it has an effect on the equipments of electric system which resulted from Power Line Disturbance (PLD) phenomenon by the loss of contact during its running. In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated. The analysis of the loss of contact based on Power Simulator program software is performed to develop power line disturbance model suitable for high speed operation. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양전지 시뮬레이터를 위해 새로운 태양전지 특성곡선 모의 방법을 제안한다. 태양전지 모델링의 수식은 비선형적이며 파라미터가 복잡하며, 실제 구현에서 어려움이 많다. 본 논문에서 제시한 방식은 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해, 태양전지 데이터북을 바탕으로 새로운 표준 시험 조건의 전류, 전압 특성 곡선과 주요 환경별 지정 데이터들을 바탕으로 데이터베이스 작업의 간소화와 프로그램 수행시간 절약이 가능한 새로운 전류, 전압 특성 곡선 추출방법을 제시하고, 새로운 방법에 대한 유효성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is applied for modeling and simulation of DC characteristic of cylindrical Silicon Nanowire Transistor (SNWT). Device Geometry parameters, terminal voltages, temperature and output current were selected as the main factors of modeling. The results obtained are compared with numerical method and a good match has been observed between them, which represent accuracy of model. Finally, we imported the ANFIS model as a voltage controlled current source in a circuit simulator like HSPICE and simulated a SNWT inverter and common-source amplifier by this model.

  • This study is focused on the development of a new muffler. A control valve installed in the exhaust system is operated by torsion springs, and its open angle is controlled automatically corresponding to the engine operating conditions. A control valve and a control muffler sensing exhaust-gas pressure are made f3r developing a new muffler. The experiments were done using an exhaust system simulator having the same pulsation wave frequency and similar pulsation propagation characteristics of a real exhaust system. The purpose of this study is to develope a new muffler system which has improved noise reduction quality and less power loss than conventional mufflers and electronic-control mufflers. Finally the characteristic of noise compared with conventional muffler and muffler sensing exhuast-gas pressure.
