고속 디지털 신호 전송선로에서의 Crosstalk 에 관한 연구 (A Study on Crosstalk in High Speed Digital Signal Transmission Line)

  • The prediction of crosstalk in one of important problems in estimating the EMC of a system for high speed digital signal transmission. Crosstalk curves are shown in terms of characteristic impedance of lines spacing between lines and rise time of pulse by using general multiple coupled transmission line equation and harmonic-balance method. The coupled symmetrical two-line on dielectric material epoxy-glass FR 4(${\varepsilon}_r$), is fabricated to measure crosstalk occuring at the near end and far end of the passive line. The inter-line is inserted to reduce crosstalk between two microstrip lines. The simulation results and the measurement results are shown and found to be very close.

Derivation of Transfer Function for the Cross-Coupled Filter Systems Using Chain Matrices

  • In this paper, we derive a transfer function of cross-coupled microwave filter systems by using a characteristics of chain matrices. Depending on the lumped element of capacitor or inductor, the cross-coupled system is negatively- or positively system. We used a ladder network as a starting system composed of several subsystems connected in chain. Each subsystem is descrived by Laplace impedance. By solving the transmission zero characteristic equation derived from the cascaded subsystems, we can find the zeros of filter system with externally cross-coupled lumped elements. With the cross-coupled elements of capacitors, the numerator polynomial of system transfer function is used to locate the quadruplet zeros in complex plane. We show the polynomoials of numerator and denominator of cascaded transfer function, obtaining the zeros of the cross-coupled system.

  • The design process and construction method of a strip line is described for measuring radiated susceptibility of vehicular components having electrical cables more than 2 min length. he characteristic impedance of the trip line was determined 90$\Omega$ to obtain the field uniformity of $\leq$${\pm}$3 dB in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 500 MHz. Tapered coaxial lines were used instead of the traditional lumped circuit element for the impedence matching units, therefore, the strip line has high power capability. Using these techniques, the field uniformity and power capability of a strip line could be considerably improved.

  • In this paper, a fault location algorithm is presented, which uses novel signal processing techniques and takes a new paradigm to overcome some drawbacks of the conventional methods. This new method for fault location on electric power transmission lines uses only one-terminal fault signals. The main feature of the method is hat it uses the high frequency components in fault signal and considers the influence of the source network by using a traveling wave propagation characteristics. As a result, we can develop a high speed, good accuracy fault locator.

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 특성을 가지면서 소형화가 용이한 다중 미앤더 스트립 모노폴 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안한 안테나는 미앤더 구조를 이용하여 대역폭을 크게 확장시킬 수 있으며, 높이를 줄여 안테나의 소형화를 실현하였다. 최근 주목을 받고 있는 UWB 통신 대역폭을 포함하는 2.9 ㎓∼10.85 ㎓의 넓은 대역폭을 얻을 수 있었으며, 전방향으로 동일한 이득을 갖는 우수한 모노폴 복사패턴을 갖는다.

  • An electrostatic boundary-value problem of a dielectric-wedge-backed, double-slotted conducting wedge is investigated to analyze an asymmetric coplanar waveguide with an infinite dielectric thickness using the Mellin transform and a mode-matching method. Our theoretical solution based on eigenfunction expansion and residue calculus is a rigorous and fast-convergent series form. Numerical computations are conducted to evaluate the potential field, capacitance, and characteristic impedance for various structures of the asymmetric coplanar waveguide. The computed results show good agreement with the simulated results.

  • The PWM inverter drive my cause motor terminals voltage surge and oscillation(ringing), which impose severe electric stresses on inter-turn insulation of motor windings. This paper describes the technique used to simulate the problems associated with the use of PWM ASD's(Adjustable Speed Drive) to drive induction motor. The characteristic of switching surge was analyzed by EMTP(Electromagnetic transient program) model. The effects of switching surge by surge impedance, rise-time and cable lengths are also discussed.

  • This report describes thick traveling-wave electrode formation and microwave transmission characteristics of the fabricated electrodes. Effective refractive indices of the microwave in the 5 micron CPW type traveling-wave electrodes is around 2.45 according to the results of time domain S parameter measurements. The bandwidth of the electrodes is about 10 GHz and could be extended to 15 GHz through optimization of the process. The developed process technique that enables plating of micropatterns upto 20 micron can be applied to broadband optical intensity modulators.

  • Multilayer microstrip lines are an integral part of an MMIC. This paper presents an analysis of multilayer GaAs-MMIC microstrip line using a spectral domain method(SDM) taking into account the effect of the variation in the thickness of various layers of substrates on the characteristic impedance and the effective dielectric constant of the line. This work is expected to be useful in GaAs foundries for accurate CAD modelling of the microstrip lines up to 40GHz.

  • High impedance fault (HIF) is defined as fault that general overcurrent relay can't detect or interrupt, Especially when HIF occur under 15 kV, energized high voltage conductor results in fire hazard, equipment damage or personal threat. Because most HIF occur arc, HIF detection using arc is to increase. Numerical arc model can be applied in an electromagnetic transients program (EMTP) to reproduce the dynamic and random characteristic of arcs for any insulator arrangement, current and system voltage. It allows the representation of any network configuration to be investigated, so the digital simulation of arc faults through air can be substitute for demanding power arc test.
