  • Growth of Electrical Tree Under 50Hz~60Hz high electric stress has been studied on the Occurrence of a Pattern, to the Progression Speed at Y axis of electrical Tree. CCD Images of evolving tree structures could be obtained in both systems. Electrical Treeing was found to occur reproducibly, but in a markedly different manner in the two morphologimlly different but chemically identical materials. For the measurement of Electrical Tree, a visual measurement with an optical microscope has been used to explain breakdown mechanism in High-voltage systems.

  • In this research work, a seven-term 3-D novel jerk chaotic system with two quadratic nonlinearities has been proposed. The basic qualitative properties of the novel jerk chaotic system have been described in detail. Next, an adaptive backstepping controller is designed to stabilize the novel jerk chaotic system with two unknown parameters. Moreover, an adaptive backstepping controller is designed to achieve complete chaos synchronization of the identical novel jerk chaotic systems with two unknown parameters. MATLAB simulations have been shown in detail to illustrate all the main results developed for the 3-D novel jerk chaotic system.

  • In this paper, we propose the Chaos Fuzzy controller to analyze the chaotic character of time series obtained from the specific plant and to predict the short-term for power consumption of the plant using the Fuzzy controller. We compared the predicted data with the active ones and checked the error generated by them after we time series of supplied power to the proposed controller. As a result of the simulation, we obtained a admirable consequence that the proposed controller can be advanced through various and accurate data acquisition, and continuous analysis of the resident and industrial environment.

  • In the steady-state simulation, it is important to identify initialization bias for the correct estimates of the simulation model under study. In this paper, the methods from chaos theory are applied to the determination of truncation points in the simulation data for controlling the initial bias. Two methods are proposed and evaluated based on their effectiveness for estimation the average waiting time in M/M/1($\infty$) queueing model.

  • This paper proposes a sequential procedure which can be used to determine a truncation point and run length to reduce or remove bias owing to artificial startup conditions in simulations aimed at estimating steady-state behavior. It is based on the idea of Lyapunov exponent in chaos theory. The performance measures considered are relative bias, coverage, estimated relative half-width of the confidence interval, and mean amount of deleted data.

  • As an application of dimensional analysis in the theory of chaos and fractals, we studied and estimated the information dimension for various phonemes. By constructing phase-space vectors from the time-series speech signals, we calculated the natural measure and the Shannon's information from the trajectories. The information dimension was finally obtained as the slope of the plot of the information versus space division order. The information dimension showed that it is so sensitive to the waveform and time delay. By averaging over frames for various phonemes, we found the information dimension ranges from 1.2 to 1.4.

  • Global bifurcations and chaos in modal interactions of an imperfect circular plate with one-to-one internal resonance are investigated. The case of primary resonance, in which an excitation frequency is near natural frequencies, is considered. The damping force is not included in the analysis. The Melnikov's method for heteroclinic orbits of the autonomous system was used to obtain the criteria for chaotic motion.

  • In this paper, we propose that the chaotic behavior analysis in the mobile robot of embedding Arnold equation with obstacle. In order to analysis of chaotic behavior in the mobile robot, we apply not only qualitative analysis such as time-series, embedding phase plane, but also quantitative analysis such as Lyapunov exponent in the mobile robot with obstacle. In the obstacle, we only assume that all obstacles in the chaos trajectory surface in which robot workspace has an unstable limit cycle with Van der Pol equation.

  • Statistical differences between men and women are investigated for a total of eleven joint motions during level walking. Human locomotion which exhibits nonlinear dynamical behaviors is quantified by the chaos analysis. Time series of joint motions was obtained from gait experiments with ten young males and ten young females. Body motions were captured using eight video cameras, and the corresponding angular displacements of the neck and the upper body and lower extremity were computed by motion analysis software. The maximal Lyapunov exponents for eleven joints were calculated from attractors constructed and then were analyzed statistically by one-way ANOVA test to find any difference between the genders. This study shows that sexual differences in joint motions were statistically significant at the shoulder, knee and hip joints.
