Background: Ras genes are thought to play an important role in human cancer since they have been found to be activated frequently in several types of tumors including breast cancer, where the overall incidence of K-RAS oncogene activation is 0-10%. Evaluation of K-RAS gene not only for mutational frequency but also for mutation types in this downstream signaling gene pathway is necessary to determine the mechanisms of action. The present study was conducted to test the hypothesis that K-RAS activation is involved in breast cancer risk of south Indian population. Materials and Methods: A total of 70 paired pathologically confirmed tumor and non-tumor tissues from the same breast cancer patients were analysed for most common K-RAS mutations of codon 12,13 and 61 by polymerase chain reaction followed by restriction digestion and direct nucleotide sequencing method. Results: We found that a high rate of homozygous and heterozygous mutations of codon 12, but not codon 13 and 61, may influence the invasive ductal carcinoma of breast risk in this study. Conclusions: Our study indicated that only codon 12 may be involved in initiating breast carcinogenesis in India.
The objective of this study was monitoring of genetically modified soybean by PCR and ELISA. We collected 60 soybean samples from the open markets located in Western Gyeongnam (Sacheon, Hamyang, Hadong, Sanchung, Uiryung, Geochang, and Hapcheon). A total of 60 soybeans was examined and 14 genetical modified soybean (GMS) were detected by PCR. The GMS rate of selling soybean in Uiryung, Hadong, Sacheon, and Hapcheon was 50.0%, 37.5%, 33.3% and 25%, respectively. The 7 of 14 GMSs were positive by ELISA and most of positive samples were below 3% GMS but 1 (Uiryung 1) of the positive samples was over the 3% which is maximum permit limit in Korea. These results mean that merchants of open market did not express for selling soybean mixed with GMS, so consumers did not recognize GMO. Therefore, we thought that education of GMO for merchant of open market need to recognize about GMO maximum permit limit.

The objective of this study was to analyze the reality of the program development process in detail accomplished by the organizations of extension education in through the hermeneutical approach. To achieve this purpose, this study tried to find answers to the following three questions : (1) how the organization of extension education develop their programs for farmers? (2) what is the programmers' awareness to the process of program development? and what is the reason for their thought and action to do so. (3) can be discussed integrally the findings for drawing some implications? The qualitative data were mainly gathered through participation observation and unstructured interview. And the qualitative data were analyzed by (1) noting pattern and themes, (2) seeing plausibility, (3) clustering, (4) making metaphors, (5) factoring, and (6) building a logical chain of evidence which hermeneutical techniques far drawing the meaning from the gathered data. The findings of this study were as follows: The programmers of this organization carried out the developing program in the technical training division at the national level and the section of fostering farm manager at the county level for the purpose of delivering the agricultural new technology and the agricultural policy. The term used formly in this organization was `curriculum development for former', and the reality of program was `instruction profile` which signified the set of the educational manin contents. At county level, Educational planning was stressed on the implement of educational administration.

Studies have been conducted to explore single electron transfer(SET) promoted photocyclization of ($\omega$-phthalimidoalkoxy)acetic acids(alkoxy=ethoxy, n-propoxy and n-butyloxy). Photocyclizations occur in methanol or acetone in high yields to produce cyclized products in which phthalimide carbonyl carbon is bonded to the carbon of side chain in place of the carboxylic group. These photocyclizations are thought to proceed through pathways involving intramolecular SET from oxygen in the $\alpha$-carboxymethoxy groups to the singlet excited state phthalimide moieties followed by decarboxylation of the intermediate $\alpha$-carboxymethoxy cation fadicals and cyclizations by radical coupling. The photocyclizations occur ca. three times faster in both methanol or acetone with one equivalent of sodium hydroxide added to the reactions and occur slower in acetone than in methanol. The efficient and regiselective cyclization reactions observed for photolyses in methanol represent synthetically useful processes for construction of heterocyclic compounds.

This study examined the cognitive consequences of constructivist teaching practices on the acquisition and transfer of programming with respect to the design of an instructional context that would encourage students to engage in reflective thought; the cognitive consequences of learning in the constructivist context; and the relation between the social and the individual in the teaching and learning process of programming. Students worked on a variety of programming and design problems in constructivist instructional contexts. The results indicated that between-group differences over repeated measures consistently favored students in reflective instruction. Rather than simple differences on measures, the pattern of mean differences over time conformed to a chain of cognitive consequences regulating the acquisition of programming. The implications of the study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
As a 4th industrial revolution technology, robots are changing the form of labor market and trade in Korea. In the future, changes in the international trade order are expected to move in the direction of shortening global supply chains and restricting trade between countries. Accordingly, reshoring of relocating overseas production facilities to Korea or near-shoring of relocating overseas production facilities to neighboring allies may expand. In this context, this study analyzed the impact of robot introduction on the domestic labor market and trade based on firm-level data. As a result of analysis based on the 'business activity data' accumulated from 2017 to 2019, the introduction of robot technology was analyzed to expand low-wage, low-skilled employment. Analysis on trade shows that the introduction of robots decreases exports and increases imports. In order to expand exports through the technology of the 4th industrial revolution, employment expansion and robot introduction should occur at the same time, rather than replacing the labor force with robots. In addition, it is thought that reshoring's goal of risk management can be achieved when a stable supply chain for imports of raw materials or essential goods, which are difficult to transfer to Korea, is established together.
CD320 has been recently discovered and reported as a follicular dendritic cell (FDC) protein. Although CD320 is known to enhance proliferation of germinal center (GC) B cells, little other information is available. In this study, we investigated its cellular distribution in the GC. Confocal microscopy of human tonsil sections revealed co-localization of CD320 with CD19 and CD38 but not with CD3 indicating that GC B cells expressed CD320 in addition to FDC. In purified GC B cells, CD320 expression was inhibited in the nucleus, membrane and cytoplasm. Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction confirmed CD320 mRNA expression in B cells. These finding indicate that CD320 is expressed in B cells in addition to FDC, and that its GC activity may be more complicated than previously thought.
The thermal properties of poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) modified by 5-sulfoisophthalic acid sodium salt(SIAS) were studied. The glass transition temperature was increased, and the melting temperature and the crystallization rate were decreased as the content of SIAS unit was increased. The decrease of crystallization rate is thought to be due to the polar, bulky sulfonic acid sodium salt group which greatly retards the crystallization on to the growing crystal surface of the diffused polymer chain. The crystallization mechanism of copolyester is dependent on the content of SIAS unit and the three dimensional growth of crystal is hindered by the added SIAS unit.
An intracellular lipase from Anoxybacillus flavithermus HBB 134 was purified to 7.4-fold. The molecular mass of the enzyme was found to be about 64 kDa. The maximum activity of the enzyme was at pH 9.0 and 50℃. The enzyme was stable between pH 6.0 and 11.0 at 25℃, 40℃, and 50℃ for 24 h. The Km and Vmax of the enzyme for pNPL substrate were determined as 0.084 mM and 500 U/mg, respectively. Glycerol, sorbitol, and mannitol enhanced the enzyme thermostability. The enzyme was found to be highly stable against acetone, ethyl acetate, and diethyl ether. The presence of PMSF, NBS, DTT and β-mercaptoethanol inhibited the enzyme activity. Hg2+, Fe3+, Pb2+, Al3+, and Zn2+ strongly inhibited the enzyme whereas Li+, Na+, K+, and NH4+ slightly activated it. At least 60% of the enzyme activity and stability were retained against sodium deoxycholate, sodium taurocholate, n-octyl-β-D-glucopyranoside, and CHAPS. The presence of 1% Triton X-100 caused about 34% increase in the enzyme activity. The enzyme is thought to be a true lipase since it has preferred the long-chain triacylglycerols. The lipase of HBB 134 cleaved triolein at the 1- or 3-position.

The diet plays a fundamental role in the formation of the gut microbiota, determining the interrelationship between the gut microbiota and the host. The current study investigated the effect of Chlorella vulgaris on the gut microbiota by using simulated in vitro digestion and colonic fermentation. Bioaccessibility was measured after in vitro digestion, and SCFAs and microbial profiling were analyzed after colonic fermentation. The bioaccessibility of C. vulgaris was 0.24 g/g. The three major SCFAs (acetate, propionate, and butyrate) increased significantly when compared to the control group. In microbial profiling analysis, microorganisms such as Faecalibacterium, Dialister, Megasphaera, Dorea, Odoribacter, Roseburia, Bifidobacterium, Butyricmonas, and Veillonella were high in C. vulgaris group. Among them, Faecalibacterium, Dialister, Megasphaera, Roseburia, and Veillonella were thought to be closely associated with the increased level of SCFAs. Finally, it can be expected to help improve gut microbiota and health through ingestion of C. vulgaris. However, further studies are vital to confirm the changes in the gut microbiota in in vivo, when C. vulgaris is ingested.
