  • one of the representative micropayment protocols. The original PayWord system is designed for a user who generates paywords by performing hash chain operation for payment to an only designated vendor. In other words, a user has to create new hash chain values in order to establish commercial transactions with different vendors on the Internet. Therefore, we suggest an efficient scheme that is able to deal with business to different vendors by using only one hash chain operation to supplement this drawback. In this proposed system, a broker creates a new series of hash chain values along with a certificate for the user's certificate request. This certificate is signed by a broker to give authority enabling a user to generate hash chain values. hew hash chain values generated by a broker provide means to a user to do business with multiple vendors.

  • The primary objective of Supply Chain Management (SCM) is to optimize the cash, material and information flow considering all components of Supply Chain (SC) . The plan, established for achieving such objective, is called Supply Chain Planning (SCP) . This SCP gives each SC component specific volume or operation task, should be done in specific due date, for optimizing SC. In detail, the degree of accomplishment for SCP, depends on the SCP achievement of each SC components, is very close to successful SCM. However, this achievement is affected by uncertainties about time and volume. In general, reliability concepts means the probability that a product or system will perform its specified function under prescribed conditions without failure for a specified period of time. Therefore, the concept of Supply Chain Reliability (SCR) and an analytic methodology to calculate the degree of achievement SCP using reliability concept are proposed in this paper. SCR means that the degree of achievement for SCP considering all SC components in due date. SCR can be used to measure the performance of whole supply chain and indicate the direction of SCP.

  • Supply chain management(SCM) has been recognized as a major strategy in today's market place. A growing number of researchers have begun to realize the strategic importance of model construction, planning, controlling and operation for SCM. Also various researches of supply chain model building are going on. In this paper, we synthesis key elements of supply chain model such as performance factors, decision variables and constraints. We have reviewed past and present supply chain models and then analyzed those in view of environment factors, operations, solution approaches.

  • This paper proposes power qualify assessment using Markov Chain applied to Ergodic theorem. The Ergodic theorem introduces the state of aperiodic, recurrent, and non-null. The proposed method using Markov Chain presents very well generated harmonic characteristics according to the traction's operation of electric railway system. In case of infinite iteration, the characteristic of Markov Chain that converges on limiting probability Is able to expected harmonic currents posterior transient state. TDD(Total Demand Distortion) is also analyzed in expected current of each harmonic. The TDD for power quality assesment is calculated using Markov Chain theory in the Inceon international airport IAT power system.

  • Inventory, cost, and the level of service are three interrelated key metrics that most supply chain organizations are striving to optimize. One way to achieve this goal is to create a simulation model to conduct sensitivity analysis and optimization on several different supply chain policies that can be implemented in actual operation. In this paper, a case of Xerox global supply chain modeling and analysis to assess several "what if" scenarios for the consumable policy safety stock is presented. The simulation model, combined with analytical cost model and optimization module, is used to optimize the policy safety stock level to achieve the lowest total value chain cost. It was shown quantitatively that the policy safety stock can be reduced, but it is offset by the inbound premium transportation cost to expedite supplies in shortage, and the outbound premium transportation cost to send supplies to customers via express shipment, requiring fine balance.

  • This study was conducted to analyze on the operational time and productivities of logging operations in whole-tree logging operation system by tower-yarder and swing-yarder, and in cut-to-length logging operation system by excavator with grapple in order to establish the efficient logging operation system and to spread logging operation technique. In the analysis of operational time, in case of whole-tree logging operation system, the felling time was 46.6 sec/cycle by chain saw, the yarding time was 480.6 sec/cycle by tower-yarder, the yarding time was 287.4 sec/cycle by swing-yarder and the bucking time was 155.14 sec/cycle by chain saw. In case of the cut-to-length logging operation system, the felling and bucking time was 225.65 sec/cycle by chain saw, the cut-to-length extraction time was 4,972 sec/cycle by excavator with grapple, the branches and leaves extraction time was 3,143 sec/cycle by excavator with grapple. The forwarding time was 4,688 sec/cycle by wheel type mini-forwarder, the forwarding time was 2,118 sec/cycle by excavator with grapple and small forwarding vehicle. In the analysis of operational productivities, in case of whole-tree logging operation system, the average felling performance was $57.89m^3/day$ by chain saw, the average yarding performance was $20.3m^3/day$ by tower-yarder, $31.55m^3/day$ by swing-yarder respectively, the average bucking performance was $20.3m^3/day$ by chain saw. In case of the cut-to-length logging operation system, the average felling and bucking performance was $11.96m^3/day$ by chain saw, the average cut-to-length extraction performance was $34.75m^3/day$ by excavator with grapple, the average branches and leaves extraction performance was $37.66m^3/day$ by excavator with grapple, the average length of operation road construction was 73.8 m/day by excavator with grapple. The average forwarding performance by wheel type mini-forwarder and the average forwarding performance by excavator with grapple and small forwarding vehicle was $15.73m^3/day$ and $65.03m^3/day$, respectively.

  • This study discusses a contract to promote collection and recycling of used products in a green supply chain (GSC). A collection incentive contract is combined with a reward-penalty contract. The collection incentive contract for used products is made between a retailer and a manufacturer. The reward-penalty contract for recycling used products is made between a manufacturer and an external institution. A retailer pays an incentive for collecting used products from customers and delivers them to a manufacturer with a product order quantity under uncertainty in product demand. A manufacturer remanufactures products using recyclable parts with acceptable quality levels and covers a part of the retailer's incentive from the recycled parts by sharing the reward from an external institution. Product demand information is assumed as (i) the distribution is known (ii) mean and variance are known. Besides, the optimal decisions for product quantity, collection incentive of used products and lower limit of quality level for recyclable parts under decentralized integrated GSCs. The analysis numerically investigates how (1) contract for recycling activity, (ii) product demand information and (iii) quality of recyclable parts affect the optimal operation for each GSC. Supply chain coordination to shift IGSC is discussed by adopting Nash Bargaining solution.

  • This paper presents an optimization formulation for resource scheduling in Critical Resource Diagramming (CRD) of production scheduling networks. A CRD network schedules units of resources against points of needs in a production network rather than the conventional approach of scheduling tasks against resource availability. This resource scheduling approach provides more effective tracking of utilization of production resources as they are assigned or 'moved' from one point of need to another. Using CRD, criticality indices can be developed for resource types in a way similar to the criticality of activities in Critical Path Method (CPM). In our supply chain model, upstreams may choose either normal operation or expedited operation in resource scheduling. Their decisions affect downstream's resource scheduling. The suggested optimization formulation models resources as CRD elements in a production two-stage supply to minimize the total operation cost

  • Recently, many global companies are making efforts to realize the sharing economy based on the establishment of a global supply chain and the established global supply chain. There are various methods for realizing the sharing economy, but among them, a lot of effort is being made to promote the sharing economy of companies through the shared logistics system, especially logistics efficiency. In order to realize the corporate sharing economy, companies are required to find ways to apply ICT-based shared logistics systems. Therefore, this study aims to improve the logistics efficiency of logistics companies in order to increase the efficiency of ICT-based sharing economy in logistics companies. To this end, we would like to present the current status and operation of the domestic shared logistics system for the application of the ICT-based shared logistics system, and suggest the operation plan of the shared logistics system through ICT linkage with the domestic shared logistics system. It is judged that various needs required in the global supply chain can be satisfied by presenting an efficiency plan for ICT-based shared logistics.
