The effect of PCN substitution on dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PMN-PZT Ceramics (PCN 치환이 PMN-PZT 세라믹스에 유전 및 압전특성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, to develop the composition ceramics for the Ultrasonic vibrator, $Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3Pb(Zr.Ti)O_3$ system ceramics were manufactured as a function of PCN substitution. Its dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing the amount of PCN substitution, electromechanical coupling factor(kp) were increased until 3mol% PCN and that after decreased. mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the maxinum value at 2mol% PCN. Eletromechanical coupling factor, mechanical quality factor and dielectric constant were showed optimum value at PCN 2mol% as 0.58, 1630 and 1407, respectively for ultrasonic vibrator applications.

  • In this paper, the compositional and sintering time dependences of dielectric, electrooptic properties for X/55/45([Ca$.$La$.$Nb]/Zr/Ti)CLN-PZT ceramics, where X is ranged from 3.0 to 11.0 mol %, have been investigated. As CLN mol% is increased, density, curie-temperature and dielectric constant are decreased, and also grain size and transmittance are increased, With the increment of CLN mol %. longitudinal mode electromechanical coupling coefficient is decreased and P-E hysterisis loop became slim-loop slowly. The crystal structure of CLN-PZt ceramics is changed from rhombohedral to tetragonal and pseudo-cubic according to the increment of CLN mol%.

  • Temperature stabilities of dielectric constraints and resonant frequencies of the substrates are very important in piezoelectric ceramics oscillators and filters. In this study, it was investigated temperature stability of the length-extensional vibration mode of Pb(Zr$\_$y/Ti$\_$1-y/)O$_3$+x[wt%]Cr$_2$O$_3$ ceramics. The mode can be utilized in fabricating ultra-small 455 kHz IF devices. Addition of Cr$_2$O$_3$ in morphotrophic phase PZT decreased the variations of dielectric constant, electro-mechanical coupling factor k$\_$31/ and resonant frequency by thermal shock. As additive weight of Cr$_2$O$_3$increased, the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency changed from positive number to negative one. And the composition tith temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was shifted to the one with increased Cr$_2$O$_3$ additive weigh by thermal aging.

  • In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric actuator, sensers, transducers, PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics were manufacrtured with the sintering temperature, and their piezoelectric and dielectric properties were investigated. At the composition ceramics sintered at $900^{\circ}C$, desity, dielectric constant$({\varepsilon}_r)$, electromechanical coupling factor(kp), piezoelectric constant$(d_{33})$ and mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the optimal value of $7.86g/cm^3$, 1417, 0.634, 410pC/N and 1138, respectively.

  • A new method for the poling of piezoelectric ceramics with an air insulation medium in stead of silicon oil is described. A similar variation of electromechanical coupling coefficient $K_t$, for an air medium is observed in comparison to that of the material poled by the conventional poling method using a silicon oil medium. Different poling parameters such as dielectric constant $\varepsilon^T$ and frequency deviation ${\Delta}f$ are studied as well as the influence on the aging effect. The required poling factors to achieve the optimal piezoelectric characteristics are electric field, 2 kV/mm, temperature $100^{\circ}C$, and poling time 30 Min. From this result electric field 3 kV/mm atmosphere airs there being will be able to use with the polarization insulation medium about the piezoelectric material, confirmed.

  • Effect of the microwave dielectric properties and the microstructure on a mole fraction(x=0.1~0.9) of (1-x)Mg$_2$SiO$_4$-xZnAl$_2$O$_4$ ceramics was investigated. When (1-x)Mg$_2$SiO$_4$-xZnAl$_2$O$_4$(x=0.1~0.9) ceramics were sintered at 130$0^{\circ}C$, 135$0^{\circ}C$ and 140$0^{\circ}C$ for 2hr, the microwave dielectric properties were obtained $\varepsilon$r=6.8~8.3, Q.f$_{0}$=36000~77600. On the other hand, the temperature coefficients of resonant frequency($\tau$$_{f}$) were obtained in the properties of -62ppm/$^{\circ}C$ to -49ppm/$^{\circ}C$. In order to adjust the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency($\tau$$_{f}$), CaTiO$_3$was added in (1-x)Mg$_2$SiO$_4$-xZnAl$_2$O$_4$ceramics. 0.7Mg$_2$SiO$_4$-0.2ZnAl$_2$O$_4$-0.1CaTiO$_3$ceramics sintered at 135$0^{\circ}C$ for 2hr showed the excellent microwave dielectric properties of $\varepsilon$r=7.7, Q.f$_{0}$=32000, and $\tau$$_{f}$=-7.9 ppm/$^{\circ}C$.EX>.>.EX>.

  • In this paper, the $Sr_{1-x}Ca_{x}TiO_{3}(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.2)$ 2)-based grain boundary layer ceramics were fabricated to measured dielectric properties and voltage-current properties. The sintering temperature and time were $1420\sim1520^{\circ}C$, 4hours, in $N_{2}$ gas, respectively. The structural and the dielectric properties were investigated by SEM, X-ray, HP4194A and K6517. The 2nd phase formed by thermal diffusion from the surface lead to a very high apparent dielectric constant, $\varepsilon_r$ > 50000. X-ray diffraction patterns exhibited cubic structure for all specimens. Increasing content of Ca, the peak intensity were decreased.ﱇﶖ⨀ਆᘍ܀㘱㔮㠹㬅K䍄乍

  • The effects of sintering additives on the low-temperature sintering and microwave dielectric properties of $Mg_4Nb_2O_9$ dielectric ceramics were studied. When $3{\sim}20wt%$ of $0.242Bi_2O_3-0.758V_2O_5$ was added, the sintering temperature decreased from $1100{\sim}1300^{\circ}C$ to $950^{\circ}C$ and high density was obtained. When $Mg_4Nb_2O_9$ was sintered at $950^{\circ}C$ with 10wt% of sintering additive, the microwave dielectric properties of $Q{\times}f_0\;=\;80.035GHz,\;\epsilon_r\;=\;13.3\;and\;\tau_f\;=\;-12.9\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ were obtained.

  • (1-x-y)Pb($Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})0_3-BaTiO_3PbTiO_3(0.05{\leq}x{\leq}0.20, 0.05{\leq}y{\leq}0.15$) ternary compound ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The dielectric properties with temperature and frequency of the specimens were investigated. Relative dielectric constants of the specimens were increased with $BaTiO_3$ contents. Increasing the $BaTiO_3$contents, the variation in the relative dielectric constant with frequency, the temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) and the dielectric loss were decreased.

  • In this paper, We described the effect of $MoO_3$ Addition and firing temperature on the microwave dielectric properties of $BiNb0_4$ ceramics. The specimens prepared by conventional mixed method was addicted by 0 - 0.03 wt% $MoO_3$ and fired at 860 - $950^{\circ}$ for 3hr. Density increased when $MoO_3$ is below O.Olwt% but decreased when over O.Olwt%. $BiNb0_4$ ceramics addicted with CuO 0.03wt % and $MoO_3$ 0.01 wt% showed microwave dielectric properties, Dielectric constant 37.5, Quality factor[Qx$f_0$]5500, Temperature coefficient of resonance frequency 15ppm/$^{\circ}$
