To investigate the relationship between several intraoral soft tissue lesions(hairy tongue, lichen planus, recurrent aphthous stomatitis, oral candidiasis, glossitis and oral herpetic lesion) and oral mucosal keratinization, exfoliative cytological smear on intraoral mucosal surfaces were performed on each number of patients and 25 controls keratinization cell (yellow-stained cell) ratio was then measured. In hairy tongue, there was no significant difference between patient group and control group in all kind of cells. Only blue cell ratio of women was more than of men in patient group. In lichen planus, there was no difference between patient and control group in yellow cell ratio. Red cell ratio in the control group was more than in the patient group. Blue cell ratio in the patient group was more than that in control group. But there was no sex predilection between both groups in the ratio of all kind of cells. In recurrent aphthous stomatitis, Yellow cell ratio in the control group was more than that in the patient group. Red cell ratio in the control group was more than that in control group. Blue cell ratio in the patient group was more than that in control group. But there was no sex predilection between both groups in the ratio of all kind of cells. In oral candidiasis, Yellow cell ratio in the control group was more than that in the patient group. Red cell ratio in the control group was more than that in control group. Blue cell ratio in the patient group was more than that in control group. There was no sex predilection between both groups in yellow cell ratio. Red cell ratio of women was more than of men in patient group. Blue cell ratio of men was more than of women in patient group. In herpetic lesions, there was no difference between patient and control group in yellow cell ratio. Red cell ratio in the control group was more than in the patient group. Blue cell ratio in the patient group was more than that in control group. Yellow cell ratio of women was more than of men in control group. Red cell ratio of men was more than of women in control group. Blue cell ratio of men was more than of women in patient group. In glossitis, Yellow cell ratio in the control group was more than in the patient group. There was no difference between patient and control group in red cell ratio. Blue cell ratio in the patient group was more than that in control group. Yellow cell ratio of women was more than of men in control group. Red cell ratio and blue cell ratio of men were more than of women in control group. According to above results, the ratio of keratinized cell in atrophic, ulcerated, or pseudomembranous lesions was lowered than in control, but the ratio of keratinized cell in keratotic, vesicular or lesions on keratinized surface lesions had no difference to control group. Thus, keratotic, vesicular or lesions on keratinized surface lesions have not closely relation to mucosal keratinization. And, there was a little sex predilection between men and wemen in mucosal keratinization.

The effect of catholyte to anolyte amount ratio on the electrodialysis cell performance for HI concentration was investigated. For this purpose, the electrodialysis cell was assembled with Nafion 117 as PEM membrane and activated carbon fiber cloth as electrodes. The initial amount of catholyte was 310 g and that of anolyte varied from 1 to 3 of amount ratio. The calculated electro motive force (EMF) increased with time and the increment enhanced as the amount ratio of catholyte to anolyte decreased. The mole ratios of HI to $H_2O$ (HI molarity) in catholyte were almost the same and exceeded pseudo-azeotropic composition for all amount ratios after 2 h operation. The HI molarity continuously increased with time for 10 h operation. The mole ratio of $I_2$ to HI decreased in catholyte but increased in anolyte. The increment of mole ratio of $I_2$ to HI in anolyte rose as the amount ratio of catholyte to anolyte decreased. In case of 1:1 amount ratio, the cell operation was stopped for the safety at approximately 6 h operation, since the mole ratio of $I_2$ to HI reached solubility limit. The cell voltage of the electrodialysis cell increased with time and the rate of increase was high at low amount ratio. This suggests that the amount ratio of catholyte to anolyte not only crucially influences the cell voltage, but also cell operation condition.

This study is focused to predict the behavior of Al foam with closed-cell structure during the 3 point bending test and the upsetting test according to aspect ratio. We calculated characters of aluminum foams with closed-cell structure and took the simulation. The effects on the aspect ratio of the cell was investigated parametrically. The analysis was carried out on two models, First, the bending test in elasticity of the rectangular beam, and Second, the upsetting test in plasticity of the circular cylinder. In the analysis, the deformation of the beam and the cylinder was influenced by the aspect ratio of the cell. Further, We assumed that the geometry of feared aluminum cell change the stress and strain in the test.

In this paper, we proposed two kids of dynamic priority control mechanisms controlling the cell service ratio in order to improve the QOS(Quality of Service). We also analyse theoretically the characteristics of cell loss probability and mean cell delay time by applying the proposed priority control mechanisms to ATM switch with output buffer. The proposed priority control mechanisms have the same principles of storing cells into buffer but the different principles of serving cells from buffer. The one is the control mechanism controlling the cell service ratio according to the relative cell occupancy ratio of buffer, the other is the control mechanism controlling the cell service ratio according to both the relative cell occupancy ratio of buffer and the average arrival rate. The two service classes of our concern are the delay sensitive class and the loss sensitive class. The analytical results show that the proposed control mechanisms are able to improve the QOS, the characteristics of cell loss probability and mean cell delay time, by selecting properly the relative cell occupancy ratio of buffer and the average arrival rate. conventional DLB algorithm does not support synchronous cells, but the proposed algorithm gives higher priority to synchronous cells. To reduce synchronous cell loss rate, the synchronous cell detector is used in the proposed algorithm. Synchronous cell detector detects synchronous cells, and passes them cells to the 2nd Leaky-Bucket. So it is similar to give higher priority to synchronous cells. In this paper, the proposed algorithm used audio/video traffic modeled by On/Off and Two-state MMPP, and simulated by SLAM II package. As simulation results, the proposed algorithm gets lower synchronous cell loss rate than the conventional DLB algorithms. The improved DLB algorithm for multimedia synchronization can be extended to any other cells which require higher priority.
To investigate the relationship between recurrent aphthous ulcer and oral mucosal keratinization, exfoliative cytology in buccal mucosa, lip mucosa, tongue mucosa were performed on 25 recurrent aphthous ulcer patients and 25 controls whose age ranged from 10 to 65. Keratinization cell ratio was then measured. The results were as follows : 1. Yellow cell ratio in the control group was more than that in the patient group in buccal mucosa, lip mucosa, tongue mucosa. Red cell ratio in the control group was more than that in the patient group in lip mucosa. Blue cell ratio in the patient group was more than that in control group in all regions( p(0.01) 2. In the comparison by sex, the patient group showed no significant difference in all site but, the control group showed different results according to the site; males were more than females in yellow cell, but less than females in red cell Females were more than males in yellow cell, but less than males in red cell. 3. In the comparison by age, patient group showed no significant difference in all site, but the control group showed significantly high yellow cell ratio in buccal and tongue mucosa over the age of 50. In conclusion, there was close relationship between recurrent aphthous ulcer and decreased oral mucosal keratinization. In other words, reduced oral mucosal keratinization must be recommended for prevention of recurrent aphthous ulcer.

I studied the stability of organic photovoltaic cells in terms of P3HT:PCBM-71 blend ratio as a function of storage time. I obtained the best cell performance by optimizing the blend ratio of electron donor and electron acceptor within the active layer. In this study, I found that the more the P3HT:PCBM ratio increases within the active layer, the more the cell efficiency decreases as the storage time increases. As a result, the best optimized blend ratio was the 1:0.6 ratio of P3HT:PCBM-71, and cell efficiency of the device with the 1:0.6 blend ratio was 4.49%. The device with the best cell efficiency showed good stability.

Based on the popular 4-transistor SRAM cell, an analytical expression of the minimum cell ratio was derived by modeling the static read operation. By analyzing the relatively simple expression for the minimum cell ratio, which was derived assuming the ideal transistor characteristics, effects of the changes in supply voltage and process parameters on the minimum cell ratio was predicted, and the minimum power supply voltage for read operation was determined. The results were verified by simulations utilizing the suggested simulation method, which is suitable for monitoring the lower limit of supply voltage for proper cell operation. From the analysis, it was shown that the worst condition for cell operation is low temperature and low supply voltage, and that the operation margin can be effectively improved by reducing the threshold voltage of the cell transistors.

The initial electrochemical performance of ceramic fuel cell with thin-film electrolyte was evaluated in terms of peak power density ratio, open circuit voltage ratio, and activation/ohmic resistance ratios at 500℃. Hydrogen and air were used as anode fuel and cathode fuel, respectively. The peak power density ratio reduced as ~17% for 40 minutes, which rapidly decreased in the early stage of the performance evaluation but gradually decreased. The open circuit voltage ratio decreased with respect time; however, its time behavior was remarkably different with the reduction behavior of the peak power density ratio. The activation resistance ratio increased as ~15% for 40 minutes, which was almost similar with the time behavior of the peak power density ratio.
This study evaluated the performance characteristics of varied electrolyte species and amounts in a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC). Coin-type MCFCs were used at the condition of $650^{\circ}C$ and 1 atm. In order to measure the effects of varied electrolyte species and amounts, electrolytes of $(Li+K)_2CO_3$ and $(Li+Na)_2CO_3$ were selected and the amounts of 1.5 g, 2.0 g, 3.0 g, and 4.0 g were used. Insignificant performance differences were observed in the cell using different electrolytes, but the cell performance was sensitive to the amount of the electrolyte used. The pore-filling ratio (PFR), a ratio of pore filling in the components by the liquid carbonate electrolytes, was used to determine the optimum performance range. Consequently, 77% PFR demonstrated the optimum performance for both electrolytes. Thus, the MCFC had a permissible but narrow optimum performance range. The remaining amounts of electrolyte in the cells were determined using the weight reduction ratio (WRR) method after several hours of cell operation. The WRR used the relationship between the initial loaded amount of electrolyte and weight reduction of components in 10 wt% acetic acid. The relationships were linear and identical between the two electrolyte species.
