  • Matching individual career desire and career path is desirable for individual motivation and organizational effectiveness. Some studies reported that major career orientations of MIS personnel are technical and managerial orientation. Furthermore, dual ladder system is based on the same notion above. However, subsequent research conclusions of this issues have been contradictory. Mnwhile, past studies on the work value of MIS personnel are mainly concentrated on the differences between MIS personnel and other occupations. To date, the study on the differences in the values of job factors between major career orientations is rare. The purpose of this study is to find out major career orientation of Korean MIS personnel and the differences of values of job factors between major orientations. The research result is two conclusions. First, major career orientations of Korean MIS personnel are technical and managerial orientation. Second, both group do not have different values about job property related factors, but managerial orientation group gives high values to the some organization related factors such as company policy, responsibility, authority, salary level and opportunity of promotion.

R&D 인력의 사회적 네트워크와 자아존중감이 조직몰입과 경력지향성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of R&D Employees' Social Network and Self-Esteem on Organizational Commitment and Career Orientation)

  • The effective management of R&D employees is critical for a small or medium sized firm's sustainable growth. R&D employees have professional skills and choose expertise-oriented or management-oriented careers in the process of organizational socialization. This study synthetically verifies the direct and indirect effects of R&D employees' social network and self-esteem on their career orientation by organizational commitment based on social network theory and social recognition theory. The research model has been analyzed through structural equation modeling using survey responses from 220 R&D employees at small- and medium-sized firms in Korea. The analysis results show that internal network activities have direct and indirect impacts on organizational commitment and career orientation, but external network activities do not have significant effects on self-esteem, organizational commitment, or career orientation. There is no consensus in prior studies on whether expert orientation and management orientation are distinct concepts. In this study, these two types of orientation are verified as distinct concepts. It is also found that R&D employees' internal network activities are significant factors for a company's growth. A company should implement an educational system of roles and duties using which individuals can pursue career progression. In addition, it is necessary to provide career development programs such as job rotation, mentoring, and career counseling.

학부과정 교육학 전공학생의 진로분야 발전방안 탐색 -교육학 관련학과와의 비교를 중심으로- (A Study on the Career Development Plan for the Education Major Students in Korean Universities)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze current state of education departments in Korean universities and to find out ways to help education major students shape their future career. The findings of the study are as follows. First, the comparative analysis of the current state of education and education-related departments showed that average employment rate of education departments in 2011 was 35.0%, whereas that of related departments was 56.6%, which showed a significant difference. Second, education courses were specialized in areas such as lifelong educator qualifications, teaching certificates in morality/ethics, corporate HRD(human resource development), etc. in case of education departments. In case of education-related departments, education courses were specialized in areas such as teaching certificates in pedagogy, lifelong educator qualifications, license of school counselor, corporate HRD, etc. Though there were many overlapping areas, specialization was relatively more common and diverse in education-related departments. Next, to help students shape their future career, developments in specialized career courses, new career fields, and career education models were suggested. To give shape to the progress plans, the development of standard education courses for student careers, the introduction of certification system about course specialization, and search for the career path of teaching profession which allows utilization of the knowledge of education were suggested.

  • This study examines the meaning of the national education plan promotion background, focusing on the 5th Lifelong Education Promotion Basic Plan (2023-2027) and the 3rd 2023 Career Education Internalization Support Plan (2023-2027). The purpose of this study is to present future directions for lifelong education and career education. The research results indicate that The 5th Lifelong Education Promotion Basic Plan (2023-2027) and the 3rd 2023 Career Education Internalization Support Plan (2023-2027) have both been established to cope with the future social and educational environment; thus, it is necessary to realize them. For this purpose, concrete policy alternatives have been prepared. In modern society, it is vital for the state to promote basic plans related to education, particularly for developing and improving the education system. In this respect, when suggesting the direction of lifelong and career education, first, policies for social development and strengthening competitiveness are important. Second, policies are needed that respond to changes in jobs and occupations. Third, lifelong and career education are essential to ensure social inclusion and fairness. Fourth, lifelong and career education are vital in nurturing human resources for sustainable development.

  • This study examines a systematic and effective approach to career guidance in medical education, with a particular focus on the 6-year integrated career guidance education framework implemented at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. Based on the "New SLICE" educational development principles, this framework comprehensively addresses the needs of medical students in career planning and development. It is structured into three phases: understanding yourself, exploring options, and choosing a specialty. The first phase, understanding yourself, helps students to recognize their strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and potentials, thereby setting the direction for future career choices. This phase includes various psychological tests and Self-Development and Portfolio courses. The second phase, exploring options, enables students to engage in related activities such as research and practical training, providing direct and indirect experiences across various fields. This phase offers courses including Medical Field Experience, Career Guidance through the Learning Community & Advisory Professors, and Student Participation in Professor Research Projects. The final phase, choosing a specialty, involves students making decisions based on in-depth self-assessment and exploration of majors, with a capstone project being a significant component. Maximizing the efficiency of career decision-making requires integration between the basic medical curriculum and postgraduate education. Including the period up to residency entrance in the framework is necessary for effective career guidance education.

Finally, This study is suggested growing to qualification standard for an examination a degree of master craftsman only under the change of national qualification systematization as a standard to operation and control.

맞춤형 진로교육을 위한 웹기반 SMTS의 설계와 구현 (Designing and Embodying Web-Based SMTS for Effective Career Education)

  • 고등학교에서 학생의 진로교육에 대한 기본 자료는 교육과학기술부에서 지원하는 NEIS의 교무업무시스템과 담임교사 중심의 진로교육 자료가 오프라인 형태로 관리 및 운영되고 있어, 학생들의 진로교육을 위한 실질적 의사결정 시스템으로서 활용하기에 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 학생들의 맞춤형 진로교육을 위한 e포트폴리오, 성적 및 상담자료 등을 DB로 구축하여, 인터넷 웹 기반의 학생관리통합시스템(SMTS: Student Management Total System)을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 결과 교사들은 학생의 소질과 적성을 고려한 맞춤형 진로교육을 실시하여, 건전한 직업관을 가진 미래의 국가자원으로 성장시키고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다.

호텔 종사원의 직원가치와 직무순환 중요도가 경력성공에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Employee Value Proposition and the Importance of Job Rotation on the Subjective Career Success)

  • 본 연구는 호텔산업에서 종업원이 차지하는 중요성에 기초하여, 기업의 제안된 직원가치(EVP: Employee Value Proposition)와 직무순환의 중요도가 주관적 경력성공에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 설문조사는 서울 지역 특 1, 2급 호텔에 근무하는 종업원을 대상으로 편의표본추출을 하였고, 유효표본 379명의 자료가 실증분석에 사용되었다. 요인분석결과, EVP의 요인으로 '성장개발,' '상호신뢰,' '근무환경,' '역량인정' '급여와 보상' 등 5개 요인이, 직무순환의 요인으로 '개인의 발전과 효용성,' '운영절차,' '경력관리' 등 3개 요인이 각각 도출되었다. EVP와 주관적 경력성공에 대한 가설검증 결과 EVP의 5개 요인 중 '급여와 보상'을 제외한 모든 요인이 주관적 경력성공에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 EVP가 직무순환에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과도 '급여와 보상'을 제외한 EVP의 요인이 주관적 경력성공에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 직무순환이 주관적 경력성공에 미치는 영향을 파악한 결과, 직무순환의 하위 요소인 '개인의 발전과 효용성', '운영절차', '경력관리' 모두 주관적 경력 성공에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 주관적 경력성공 및 직무순환의 인식에 있어 종업원들은 금전적인 보상 보다는 비금전적 보상에 의해 영향을 받는다는 것을 의미한다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구결과가 갖는 학문적, 실무적 시사점(예, 조직문화의 창출)이 결론 부분에 제시되었다.

간호대학생의 전공만족도, 진로정체감, 학업적 자기효능감과 진로준비행동과의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Major Satisfaction, Career Identity, Academic Self-Efficacy and Career Preparation Behavior in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 G시에 소재하는 4년제 간호대학생 210명을 대상으로 전공만족도, 진로정체감, 학업적 자기효능감 및 진로준비행동 간의 상관관계를 살펴보기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료수집은 2019년 10월 15일부터 18일까지 이루어졌으며, 자료분석은 IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 변수의 평균과 표준편차, 실수와 백분율로 분석하였고, 변수 간의 상관관계는 Pearson's correlation coefficients로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 전공만족도는 3.78점, 진로정체감은 2.67점, 학업적 자기효능감은 3.11점, 진로준비행동은 2.46점이었으며, 진로준비행동은 전공만족도와 학업적 자기효능감과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 이에 간호대학생의 바람직한 진로준비행동을 유도하기 위하여 전공만족도와 학업적 자기효능감을 향상시키는 체계적 교육시스템이 필요하며, 그 효과를 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 또한 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명해볼 필요가 있다.
