4급화 폴리페닐렌 옥시드 코팅을 통한 축전식 탈이온 성능 향상 (Improvement of Capacitive Deionization Performance by Coating Quaternized Poly(phenylene oxide))

  • 본 연구에서는 축전식 탈이온 공정(capacitive deionization, CDI)의 성능을 개선하기 위해 poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO)를 기저물질로 이용하여 코팅이 가능한 음이온교환 이오노머(quaternized PPO, QPPO) 용액을 제조하였다. 제조된 QPPO는 상용 음이온교환막(AMX, Astom Corp., Japan) 대비 우수한 이온전도도 특성을 나타내었으며 전기화학적 특성 또한 동등 수준임을 확인할 수 있었다. 다공성 탄소 전극에 이오노머 용액을 코팅하여 CDI 성능평가를 수행하였으며 그 결과 약 94.9%의 높은 염 제거 효율을 나타내었다. 기존의 CDI와 상용 음이온교환막을 결합한 membrane CDI (MCDI), QPPO가 코팅된 전극을 사용한 coated CDI (CCDI)의 탈염 성능을 비교한 결과 QPPO의 높은 이온선택성 및 낮은 이온 전달저항으로 CCDI가 기존의 CDI에 비해 52.1%, MCDI에 비해 18.3% 향상된 높은 염 제거 성능을 나타냄을 확인하였다.

  • New address electrode having separated dual electrode is suggested to reduce addressing time in ac PDP. Addressing characteristics of suggested electrode has been investigated in the test panel with high Xe partial pressure. It has been found that both the formative and jitter width of the suggested electrode is improved by 10 -20 % over the wide range of address voltage level compared with the conventional one. The dynamic margin of the panel also greatly improved. The key feature behind this type of structure is that it can extend the controllability of the wall charge distribution during the reset and address discharge without significant increase in capacitive load of address electrode.

  • MEMS capacitive gap sensor is developed for measuring abrasion depth of gun barrel rifling. Measuring abrasion depth of gun barrel rifling is very important because it is related with exactness of firing and life of arms. The method using a gap sensor is not to hurt rifling. And it can measure abrasion depth through minimum shooting, because the developed gap sensor can measure from $1{\mu}m{\sim}12{\mu}m$ using Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) material and making a stretchable electrode on PDMS. And it's resolution is 1 ${\mu}m$ using capacitive method and MEMS technology.

Investigation of Supporting Electrolyte Effect on Supercapacitor Properties of Poly(Carbazole) Films

  • In this study poly(carbazole) films deposited on stainless steel have been investigated as electrode material for supercapacitor applications. Poly(carbazole) films were electrodeposited using cyclic voltammetry in presence of lithium, sodium and tetrabutylammonium perchlorate salts. Poly(carbazole) films doped with perchlorate anions having different counter cations were characterized by SEM, ATR-FTIR and solid state conductivity measurements. Capacitive behaviours of PCz coated steel electrodes were tested by cyclic voltammetry, charge-discharge analysis and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It was found that counter cation of the dopant is significantly effective on the capacitive performance on the obtained PCz films and the PCz film synthesized from lithium perchlorate has the better capacitive performance than the poly(carbazole)s synthesized from sodium perchlorate and tetrabutylammonium perchlorate salts.

넓은 다이내믹 레인지의 유연 촉각센서 적용을 위한 PVP 유전층과 PDMS 접착력 검증 (Verification of Bonding Force between PVP Dielectric Layer and PDMS for Application of Flexible Capacitive-type Touch Sensor with Large Dynamic Range)

  • In this paper, we fabricate arrayed-type flexible capacitive touch sensor using liquid metal (LM) droplets (4 mm spatial resolution). Poly-4-vinylphenol (PVP) layer is used as a dielectric layer on the electrode patterned Polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) film. Bonding tests between hydroxyl group (-OH) on the PVP film and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) are conducted in a various $O_2$ plasma treatment conditions. Through the tests, we can confirm that non-$O_2$ plasma treated PVP layer and $O_2$ plasma treated PDMS can make a chemical bond. To measure dynamic range of the device, one-cell experiments are conducted and we confirmed that the fabricated device has a large dynamic range (~60 pF).

  • 본 논문에서는 주기적인 용량성 부하가 연결된 속도정합 진행파형 전극의 간편한 설계방법을 제시한다. 이 설계 방법에 의하면 속도 정합과 임피던스 정합이 이루어질 수 있는 coplanarstrip(CPS) 전극의 폭과 간격 그리고 용량성 부하의 커패시턴스와 부하간의 간격을 해석적으로 쉽게 결정할 수 있다. GaAs를 기판으로 하는 속도정합 진행파형 전극의 계산결과 100 GHz 이상의 대역폭을 갖는다.

  • In this paper we introduce novel electrode structure for high efficiency discharge. We operate discharge tube under the 0.16 torr pure Xe and apply the sinusoidal wave power to the lamp with 60kHz. We measure the electric power dissipation, plasma parameters, and 828 nm IR intensity. From these data we determine the discharge efficiency, IR intensity/watt, EEDF(Electron energy distribution function). As a result we obtain that the novel electrode structure has better performance in efficiency than that of conventional external electrode system. Also we determine the EEDF for each type of electrode structure by Boltzmann stover, EELNDIF code. The result of Boltzmann equation solving show that the noble electrode system has many high energy electrons compared with the conventional system.

Simulation and Measurement of Characteristic in 450 mm CCP Plasma Source

  • CST microwave studio is used to simulate the plasma profile of the 450mm CCP source. Standing wave effect becomes important at the high frequency as the electrode radius increases. To solve plasma non-uniformity problem, we designed multi electrode chamber to decreasing standing wave effect. Simulation showed the ratio of input power of each electrode is related with electric field strength. The multi electrode was constructed and measured by 2D probe arrays using floating harmonic method. Uniformity of 450 mm CCP was changed by the ratio of input power of each electrode. We described this dependence with circuit model.

  • 정전 용량형 고분자막 감습재료로 사용하기 위하여 서로 반응성이 있는 공중합체들 methyl methacrylate (MMA), ethyl methacrylate (EMA), acrylic acid (MA) 와 hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA)의 공중합체들을 합성하였다. 정전 용량형 습도센서는 가교화된 폴리메타크릴레이트 공중합체 막의 양면에 금 전극을 형성시켜 제조하였다. 공중합체에서의 HEMA양이 증가할수록 상대습도에 따른 정전 용량은 증가하였다. MMA/MA/HEMA=40/10/10의 경우, 상대습도가 30%RH, 60%RH 및 90%RH에서의 정전 용량은 각 102, 134와 165 pF이었다. 또한 히스테리시스, 온도 사이클 그리고 장기안정성 결과를 측정하여 정전용량형 습도센서로서의 특성을 평가하였다.

탄소나노섬유/코발트산화물 복합전극의 케폐시턴스 특성 (Capacitance Property for a Carbon-nanofiber/Cobalt Oxide Composite Electrode)

  • Composite electrode consisting of carbon nanofiber (CNF) and cobalt oxide was prepared for supercapacitor electrode, and its electrochemical property was investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry. Cyclic voltammetric results for the composite electrode showed it had specific capacitance value of 420 F/g at 5 mV/s, which was higher than capacitance value of 180 F/g for the bare CNF. It is concluded that the capacitive property of CNF can be improved by coating cobalt oxide on it to increase the surface area of cobalt oxide.
