This study was designed to suggest the effective CSR strategies for MNCs operating in Chinese market. For this purpose, it compares the multi-years results for the evaluation on CSR activities of Multinational and Chinese firms. It also conducts questionnaire survey in an attempt at developing measures of Chinese publics' perception on the four dimensions of CSR defined by Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences - responsibility management, economic responsibility, social responsibility, and environmental responsibility. The findings of empirical analyses indicate that the CSR activities of MNCs much fall in all four dimensions compared with them of Chinese firms. Among four dimensions, MNCs have had bad evaluations especially on economic responsibility and social responsibility that are considered more important than the others to Chinese. Those findings imply that the MNCs has so far failed to implement effective CSR activities in China. In order to offset their liabilities of foreignness and compensate for their disadvantages in the lack of governmental supports, MNCs should intensify the CSR in economic and social responsibilities.

The purpose of this study was to explore the moderating effect of food safety scandals on the relationship between food company's Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) engagement at different levels and brand image in the Chinese dairy company context. In addition, this study also examined the mediating effect of brand image on CSR engagement and consumer loyalty. The study adopted a $2{\times}2$ between-subjects experimental design using scenarios. Four scenarios provided a mixed combination of yes or no cases for food safety scandal, and high or low cases for a dairy company's CSR engagement. In this study, survey was used to collect data from Chinese consumers. Of these, 377 valid data were collected from a sample of average Chinese consumers over the age of 20, collected through the internet. The results show that CSR engagement at different levels has a significant effect on brand image and food safety scandal has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between the two. This study expanded the previous study on the sensitivity of consumers to CSR activities in eastern China. At the same time, according to the results of the study, different CSR engagement of food enterprises does have a significant impact on brand image and consumer loyalty. In particular, high CSR engagement reduces negative impact on brand image through the moderating effect of food safety scandals. Therefore, for food business managers, actively participate in CSR activities, and actively enhance the engagement has a significant influence on the management of brand image.
China evaluates corporate management activities based on the policies and assessment criteria of corporate social responsibility (CSR) based on the national development plan goals. This assessment should be understood in advance as a key issue for Korean companies into the Chinese market. Therefore, this research was presented to analyze the process, trends and related systems of CSR based on Chinese political specialties. Through this is aimed at utilizing this study as a CSR implementation strategy and CSR training frame for companies considering to China in order to understand the reality of CSR in China and applying it to business strategy.
With the growing importance of CSR, more fashion brands have actively engaged in CSR activities, and consumers' perception of their motives has become a critical issue. This study investigates the influence of perceived CSR motives on fashion consumers' perceived sincerity, trust, and behavioral intentions. In addition, the effect of 'CSR timing' and 'information source' on these variables was examined. In a 2×2 between- subjects design with scenarios, 515 adult consumers responded to an online survey questionnaire. The study identified three CSR motives: value-driven motive, instrumental motive, and strategic motive. The SEM results showed that the value-driven and instrumental motives influenced trust and behavioral intentions. In particular, perceived sincerity mediates value-driven motive and trust. A comparison of latent means revealed the effect of CSR timing on value-driven and strategic motives, trust, sincerity, and behavioral intentions. This study provides an insight into the relationship between consumers' perception of CSR motives and their reactions, and the importance of CSR timing.
Purpose - Compared with the past when customers regarded a price factor as one of the most important criteria when choosing a retailer as a shopping destination, they seem to show different attitudes toward retailers in recent. This research, therefore, aims to explore how Korean customers respond to the CSR business activities provided by retailers. Research design, data, and methodology - The authors have developed the 6 hypotheses based on the literature review and adopted the 4 hypotheses after removing the 2 hypotheses through discriminant validity analysis. Results - Amongst the 4 hypotheses selected, H1 (community support), H3 (environment protection) and H6 (trading with unethical suppliers) related to a retailer's CSR business practices are accepted, whilst H4 (product issues) is rejected. Surprisingly, Korean customers are not interested in a product safety issue, when deciding a shopping store. Conclusions - Rather than emphasizing cheaper prices to attract new customers or maintain existing ones, it is demonstrated through the research that retailers have to pay their attention to their CSR activities. For a retailer's CSR practices, the retailer's social role has become more important than ever before, from a customer's point of view.

This study aims to empirically examine whether consumers' perceptions of Chinese e-commerce firms's CSR activities, along with psychological construct of company-consumer identification, and corporate trust affect their purchase intention based on theory of reasoned action. The study used a survey method for data collection to confirm research hypotheses with a total of 240 respondents used for final analysis. The results showed that economic responsibility, ethical responsibility, and legal responsibility have a positive effect on consumers' purchase intention. In addition, corporate trust and company-consumer identification were found to mediate the relationship between consumers' CSR perceptions and purchase intention. The result of this study is expected to provide useful theoretical as well as practical implications to advance the current understanding on the effects of consumers' CSR perception on business performance.
Previous literature supports the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) by demonstrating its effects on various aspects of firm performance. However, the extent to which CSR contributes to social well-being, its original objective, has rarely been examined. The current research investigates the impact of customers' perceived CSR of service firms on customer happiness. Two studies confirm our proposition that perceived CSR increases customer happiness by enhancing perceptions of warmth and competence associated with the service company. Furthermore, we examine how the type of service moderates this effect. Specifically, we find that the indirect effects of CSR on customer happiness through perceptions of warmth and competence are stronger for credence services than for experience services. This research makes theoretical contributions to the literature on CSR, happiness, and service, and offers practical implications for marketing tactics, including fostering long-term customer relationships and monitoring the effectiveness of CSR activities and corporate budget allocations.

This study investigates how domestic entertainment companies' CSR activities, risk management, and producing abilities affect consumers' perception of their integrated brand assets. A survey was conducted on college students enrolled in a four-year university, and a total of 423 data were used for analysis. The result indicates the following. First, consumer evaluation of economic activity and philanthropic activity showed a positive causal relationship with the perception of integrated brand assets. Second, the higher the risk management and producing ability on evaluation of entertainment companies, the more positive the perception of integrated brand assets. Third, the main effect of producing ability was found to be significant among the four companies. In addition, regardless of the evaluation level of CSR activities and risk management, the group with a high producing ability evaluation showed a higher perception of integrated brand assets than the group with a low level of evaluation.
The purpose of this study is to measure the difference of corporate social responsibility(hereinafter referred to as "CSR") effects on SME's depending on the level of business risk perception. For this aim, we divided the analysis target SEM's into two groups according to the level of business risk perception and examine whether there is any difference in CSR effects through t-test and the test of the structural model invariance across the groups. As a results, the difference of CSR activities between the two groups occurred in the communication and strategy. In terms of CSR effects, there was a gap in the financial performance.
Our study builds up a theoretical model to explain how individual compassion in organizations affects the macro concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). A theoretical framework conceptualizes whereby individual compassions in work organizations responding to others' suffering generate positive or negative organizational identity, which impact their CSR activities. That is, we proposes that authentic compassion will develop positive organizational identity and then leads to proactive CSR, while pseudo compassion will trigger negative organizational identity and in turn results in reactive CSR. This study aims to explain the antecedents of firms' CSR in terms of individual compassion in organizations, interacted with the dynamics of organizational identity.
