  • The local wall shear stress in transitional boundary layer was estimated from the near-wall mean velocity data using the principle of Computational Preston Tube Method(CPM). The previous DNS and experimental databases of transitional boundary layers were used to demonstrate the accuracy of the method and to provide the applicable range of wall unit y(sup)+. The skin friction coefficients predicted by the CPM agreed well with those from previous studies. To reexamine the applicability of CPM, near-wall hot-wire measurement were conducted in developing transitional boundary layers on a flat plate with different freestream turbulence intensities. The intermittency profiles across the transitional boundary layers were reasonably obtained from the conditional sampling technique. An empirical correlation between the representative intermittency near the wall and free parameter K$_1$of the extended wall function of CPM has been newly proposed using the present and other experimental data. The CPM has been verified as a useful tool to measure the wall shear stress in transitional boundary layer with reasonable accuracy.

  • Objectives : The objective of this study is to report the effect of Koran medical treatment and CPM exercise on recovery after reconstruction surgery of torn anterior cruciate ligament Methods : A 27-year-old male patient who had anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery was treated by Korean medical treatment and CPM exercise from March 24th 2015 to April 16th 2015. Results : After treatments, VAS were generally decreased, ROM of Lt. knee got better from $95^{\circ}/10^{\circ}$(flexion/extension) to $120^{\circ}/-5^{\circ}$ (flexion/extension), Lysholm Score increased from 26 to 63. Conclusions : This study showed that Korean medical treatments and CPM exercise has meaningful effect on recovery after reconstruction surgery of anterior cruciate ligament. And it is considered that we need to apporoach recovery of these kinds of operation with more active Korean medical treatment, and further researches should be done steadily.

  • Machines and facilities are physically or chemically degenerated by continuous usage. One of the results of this degeneration is the process mean shift. By the result of degeneration, non-conforming products and malfunction of machine occur. Therefore a periodic preventive resetting the process is necessary. This type of preventive action is called 'preventive maintenance policy.' Preventive maintenance presupposes that the preventive (resetting the process) cost is smaller than the cost of failure caused by the malfunction of machine. The process mean shift problem is a field of preventive maintenance. This field deals the interrelationship between the quality cost and the process resetting cost before machine breaks down. Quality cost is the sum of the non-conforming item cost and quality loss cost. Quality loss cost is due to the deviation between the quality characteristics from the target value. Under the process mean shift, the quality cost is increasing continuously whereas the process resetting cost is constant value. The objective function is total costs per unit wear, the decision variables are the wear limit (resetting period) and the initial process mean. Comparing the previous studies, we set the process variance as an increasing concave function and set the quality loss function as Cpm+ simultaneously. In the Cpm+, loss function has different cost coefficients according to the direction of the quality characteristics from target value. A numerical example is presented.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to show the effects Oriental medicine and treatment for aftereffects of Central pontine myelinolysis (CPM). Methods: The 52-year-old woman suffering from CPM showed symptoms of weakness of both extremities, dysarthria, dysphagia and gait disturbance. We treated the patient with oriental medical therapy. Results: After the treatments, overall symptoms of CPM were improved. Conclusions: This study suggests that oriental medical therapy is probably effective in the treatment of CPM.

  • This paper suggests the design and operation of value stream mapping(VSM) applied to project management, such as R&D, IT Investment. First this study represents design methodology of VSM process using SIPOC(Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Costumer). Second, this paper considers the identification and improvement plan about non-added value time for VSM using FPC(Flow Process Chart) and PERT/CPM. Last, this paper proposes VSM scheduling method using PERT/CPM and CCPM(Critical Chain Project Management)

  • This study investigates stress analysis in nodal zone by using Complementary Pole Method (CPM). The CPM is convenient tools for the stress or strain analysis since it enables to express parallel directions of the normal stress or strain on the Mohr Circle. In this study, it is suggested to use of CPM to analysis stress or strain in the field of Concrete Plasticity.

  • In this paper, the differential detection technique of multi-h CPM is introduced and described. We derived the sets of modulation index of multi-h phase codes adequate to the differential detection. The power spectra of multi-h signals with various sets of modulation index are presented and compared to those of MSK and QPSK. Error rate performances of the conventional detector and Viterbi algorithm detector of 2-h and 3-h CPM are evaluated and compared.

  • In these days, the technical advances and complexities have generated much of the difficulties in managing the project resources, both time and costing to accomplish the project in the most efficient manner. The project manager is frequently required to render judgements concerning the schedule and resource adjustments. This research develops an analytical model for a schedule-cost and risk analysis based on visual PERT/CPM. We used a two-step approaches :in the step 1, a deterministic PERT/CPM model for the critical path and estimating the project time schedule and related resource planning, In the second step, we developed a heuristic model for crash and stretch out analysis based upon a time-cost trade-off associated with the crash and stretch out of the project. Computer implementation of this model is provided based on GUI-Type objective-oriented programming for the users and provided displays of all the inputs and outputs in the form of visual graphical. Also developed GUI-type program, Dongeui Visual-PERT/CPM. The results of this research will provide the project managers with an efficient management tool.

  • It is hoped that this paper may be a contribution to the solution of further problems arising from the gap between theory and practice. The practical cases in the application of PERT.CPM in Korea was investigated and studied. And the results are presented. These examinations of the actual cases led to a conclusion that in order to apply effectively PERT.CPM and to diminish the gap between the planning and actuality, emphasis must be given to the second factors rather than the first one shown on the network diagram, in the course of the control of the work. These second factors are PERT Status Analysis Report, PERT Emergency and PERT Count Down etc. They are the best methods that can eliminate difficult elements on the critical path, by making the maximum use of slack time.
