  • This study introduced a treatment process that was developed to treat Indonesian low-rank coal with high-ash content, which has the same characteristics as residual coal from the biosolubilization process. The treatment process includes separation of ash, solid-liquid separation, pelletizing, and drying. To reduce the ash content, flotation was performed using 4-methyl-2-pentanol (MIBC) as frother, and kerosene, waste oil, and cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) as collectors. The increasing amount of collector had an effect on combustible coal recovery and ash reduction. After flotation, a filter press, extruder, and an oven drier were used to make a dried coal pellet. Then another coal pellet was made using asphalt as a binder. The compressive strength and friability of the coal pellets were tested and compared.

  • Clean rooms are widely used in high technology industries. Currently within the microelectronics industry there is an explosive growth in the number of clean rooms. Therefore, special consideration of clean room workers is needed to the work induced stresses from contamination avoidance, clothing requirements, and confinements [1].

  • This research is done to design and manufacture prototype clean room garments to improve the product yield of the clean room processing. To assist the research, other papers and references on the same subject were collected for analysis. Also the researcher made interviews with the workers at the clean room. The prototype garments made for this project was compared against the commercially available clean room garments used in the industry. A set of test was conducted to measure particle release from the garments. The prototype clean room garments was manufactured after having considered all the aspects stated above, and tested for the level of particle release. The test subjects performed 4 different movements(marching, arms stretch, squat and rise, and jogging) while wearing the prototype garments and commercially available clean room garments. Particle counts produced by each movement were measured. The data collected was statistically analyzed. The followings are the result of the test. 1) Overall, the prototype garments yielded less particle release.(p<0.001) 2) It showed greatest difference of particle counts for jogging(p<0.001) and squat and rise(p<0.001). In the arms stretch test. the prototype garments was also more effective in controling the particle, however, in the marching test. no significant difference was detected. 3) The prototype garments had less particle release in upper(p<0.001), middle(p< 0.001), and lower level(p<0.01) than the commercially available clean room garments. Manufacturing a new fabric for the clean room processing is important, but this research proves that the design of the clean room garments also determines the efficiency garments in the particle control. Therefore the same fabric can perform differently according to how it is designed. Improving the design will also improve the 7article control and reduce the cost of research. Eventually, the manufacturers will increase the product yield.

  • Steady state turbulent airflow and unsteady characteristics of generation, transportation, and recovery behavior of contaminate particles in the simplified 2 dimensional Vertical Laminar Flow (VLF) type clean room was numerically simulated using the low Reynolds number k-over bar.epsilon- turbulent model. Characteristics of airflow in VLF type clean room are greatly affected by the recirculation zone around working surface. The recirculation zone must be considered at the time of clean room design because the recirculation zone whose area increases with increment of inlet velocity exerts bad influence upon the performance of clean room in terms of particle contamination. The location of maximum particle concentration changes from the location of particle source to the recirculation zone, while averaged particle concentration is reduced exponentially with time. Recovery time of clean room with spontaneous particle generation source is inversely proportional to inlet velocity. We introduce nondimensionalized recovery time through the dimensional analysis, which can indicates the general performance of clean room with design structure change. It was identified that .tau. is independent of inlet velocity and background concentration. Therefore .tau. can be the simple factor to compare the different structure of clean room in terms of dynamic response to contamination and becomes larger with better structure of clean room.

  • An element of a ring R with identity is called strongly clean if it is the sum of an idempotent and a unit that commute, and R is called strongly clean if every element of R is strongly clean. Let R be a noncommutative local ring, a criterion in terms of solvability of a simple quadratic equation in R is obtained for $M_2$(R) to be strongly clean.

  • studied on the physicochemistrical property of the clean active water depositting on the ceramic stone by the mineral-Oriental medicine. The results are as follows. The cluster of the clean active water is observed 53-66.5㎐ for contral water. The clean active water is observed 7.2 ph and 1.3330 refractive index for contral water. In the chemical experimental test by ICP, the clean active water is observed 102℃ in boiling point and 4.8㎎/100g V.E for 0㎎g/100g of contral water. In the antibiotic experimentation, an anion, the dimintion index of bacilli, radiation degree and radiate energy of the clean active water increased for contral water. And in the deodorization experimentation, the clean active water is observed 95% deodorization index.

  • A ring is nil-clean if every element is a sum of a nilpotent and an idempotent, and a ring is involution-clean if every element is a sum of an involution and an idempotent. In this paper, a description of nil-clean rings of nilpotency index at most 2 is obtained, and is applied to improve a known result on involution-clean rings.

  • We introduce the concept of S-exchange rings to unify various subclass of exchange rings, where S is a subset of the ring. Many properties on S-exchange rings are obtained. For instance, we show that a ring R is clean if and only if R is left U(R)-exchange, a ring R is nil clean if and only if R is left (N(R) - 1)-exchange, and that a ring R is J-clean if and only if R is left (J(R) - 1)-exchange. As a conclusion, we obtain a sufficient condition such that clean (nil clean property, respectively) can pass to corners and reprove that J-clean passes to corners by a different way.

  • H$_2$ bake and GeH$_4$ clean are used as a in-situ pre-clean method in low temperature Si based epitaxial growth technology using rapid thermal processing chemical vapor deposition (RTPCVD). In this paper, the H$_2$ bake and GeH$_4$ clean processes are optimized for low surface defect density using Taguchi method. In H$_2$ bake process, the epitaxial growth temperature affects dominantly on the surface defect density, and the next affecting factors are H$_2$ bake temperature and rinse time in de-ionised water. In GeH$_4$ clean process, GeH$_4$ clean temperature affects most strongly on the surface defect density, and the minor factor is GeH$_4$flow rate. The optimum process conditions predicted fly Taguchi method agree well with tile experimental data in both in-situ clean processes.
