This study micro-analyzed the impact of innovation capabilities on innovation performance by type of CEO, with innovative SMEs being subject to research. In addition, the impact of CEO type on innovative capabilities and the impact of innovative capabilities on innovation performance were studied together. In order to achieve the research objective, we conducted an empirical analysis of 250 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises registered in the medium-term department as research targets and the results are as follows. First, the analysis of the impact of the type of CEO on the capacity of innovation shows that market-oriented, technology-driven and consultant-type CEOs have a significant impact on the amount of technology change reduction, but managed CEOs do not see any statistically significant differences in the amount of technology change reduction areas. Managed CEOs did not see statistically significant differences in the amount of technology change-sensitive areas. In addition, it was analyzed that the current type of CEO of small businesses does not affect the R&D technology digestion capacity of technological innovation capabilities. Second, the analysis of the relationship between innovation capabilities and innovation performance did not have a statistically significant effect. Third, the analysis of the adjustment effect between the type of CEO and the capacity of innovation according to the growth stage of small businesses shows that the technology and the consultant-type CEO affect the amount of the area of technology change, but the managed and market-type CEOs did not have the adjustment effect. Fourth, the analysis of the capacity of innovation and the effect of adjustment between innovation and innovation in the growth phase of innovative SMEs did not have a statistically significant effect.
The purpose of this study is to analyze whether SMEs' technological capabilities and international marketing capabilities affect the export performance of the SMEs and to empirically test the moderating effect of the CEO's risk propensity on such a relationship. We obtained data from 190 SMEs located in Gwangju and Jeonnam Province in Korea through survey and performed a regression analysis for hypothesis testing based on these data. As a result of the analysis, it was found that SMEs' technological capabilities and international marketing capabilities had a significantly positive (+) effect on export performance, respectively. Also, the CEO's risk propensity was found to reinforce the relationship between technical competence and export performance, and the relationship between marketing capabilities and export performance was also found to be strengthened in the positive (+) direction. These results suggest that it is necessary for SMEs to continuously develop technological capabilities and international marketing capabilities to achieve successful export performance in overseas markets. Also, the CEO's propensity to promote these relationships may be important.
This study is to explore the ways to increase the export performance of start-up companies, as opportunities are rising along with more companies entering the global market. Thus the study analyzed the factors affecting export performance of the start-up company by mainly looking at the international marketing capabilities of enterprises type of marketing strategy and internal environmental capabilities. The following were derived as factors for marketing 4P strategy: innovation of product, flexibility of export price, differentiation of distribution channels, diversity of promotional activities, and positive-ness of promotion. For internal capabilities of enterprises, innovation of CEO, initiative of CEO, risk susceptibility of CEO, information power of export market, and information power of competitor were derived as factors. Two types of performances were considered for export performance, financial and non-financial. Among innovation of product and risk susceptibility of CEO the non-financial performance of export performance, and only differentiation of distribution channels of marketing 4p strategy the financial performance. It showed that since performance was different depending on the entrepreneurship of the CEO, only innovative products differentiated from small and medium enterprises. risk susceptibility of CEO increased export outlook by corporate acknowledgment and image, creation of potential customers, and financial performance affected only differentiation in distribution channel rather than entrepreneurial spirit, information power, or organizational flexibility because of short business career and insufficient period enough to gain trust. Therefore, start-up companies need to improve their non-financial export performance by increasing innovation of product and risk susceptibility of the CEO. The companies need to widen the differentiation of distribution channels in the financial export performance.
The business environment of today's small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) has a tendency to shorten the product life cycle due to the rapid technological change. Therefore, in this study, an empirical study was conducted to understand the influence of CEO type and technological innovation capability on management performance through technological innovation performance as a medium. The subject of the study was a survey focusing on executive level and above of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the southeast region, and the research results are as follows. Overall, it was verified that the structural causal relationship between the technological innovation performance and the management performance of the CEO type and technological innovation capability of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises is a relationship that has a significant influence with mutual correlation. These results indicate that higher performance can be achieved when technological innovation performance is combined with the effect of technological innovation capability on management performance according to CEO type. In this way, SMEs are trying to present the need for various innovative activities to discover excellent technologies and acquire competence, and to suggest a development direction that requires efforts to improve the technological competitiveness of enterprises.

The role of venture CEO and their intrinsic capabilities on organizational performance can be determined by the level of resource synchronization initiated by the focal managers. Despite the important role of venture CEOs, a systematic lack of in-depth theoretical and empirical studies on ruminating the relationship between the effects of a CEO's capabilities and organizational performance depending on the level of resource synchronization exist for the rationale of investigation. To supplement the limitations of previous studies, this research empirically analyzes the role of managers specifically synchronizing organizational resources that affect organizational performance in the professional sports industry. Based on the entrepreneurship theory and resource-based view (RBV), this research conceptualizes the roles of venture CEO and basketball head coach in the professional sports industry as very similar in terms of organizational structure and performance mechanism embedding entrepreneurial characteristics necessary for managing organizational resources. In this research, we hypothesized (1) organizational resource synchronization will mediate the positive relationship between the ability of professional basketball head coach and organizational performance and (2) the indirect effect of the professional basketball head coach's capabilities on organizational performance mediated by resource synchronization will be moderated by the capabilities of players. To test these hypotheses, we utilized the PROCESS macro model 58 with the empirical data of 9 seasons (2013~2014-2021~2022) of 30 National Basketball Association (NBA) and 10 Korean Basketball League (KBL) teams. The statistical results showed that (1) resource synchronization mediates the positive relationship between professional basketball head coach capabilities and organizational performance and (2) the capabilities of players moderated the indirect effects of the abilities of head coaches on team performance via resource synchronization. This paper contributes to both academic and practical domains of entrepreneurship by empirically testing the research model through objective professional sports data.

So it is quite natural that many people are interested in factors of CEO that matters. In this research, CEO characteristics in terms of capabilities and skill or special knowledge necessary to run the business are invested for manufacturing firms. Precedent studies reveal that CEO characteristics such as psychological factors including desire to succeed, tendency to take risks, personal factors including age, year of running business, and task related factors including managing capability, communication skills, network influence firm performance for manufacturing firms. However, these studies simply verify whether or not those factors affect firm's managing performance. This study, however, goes further to investigate how is the affecting process from CEO's capabilities and organization characteristics to firm's core competence, and from core competence to advantages, and from advantages to managing performance. Research design, data, and methodology - We make a questionnaire and surveyed manufacturing firm CEO's in Gyeonggi-do area. General characteristics analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, and control effect analysis was conducted. SPSS 2.0 Win, version was used. Results - The CEO characteristics including basic capability, task capability, leadership, and organization characteristics affect core competence at the statistically significant level. And, core competence affect both price advantage and differentiation advantage at the significant level. Some unique finding is that while differentiation advantage affects both financial achievement and non-financial achievement, price advantage does not affect both financial and non-financial achievement. And firm characteristics mainly measured by CEO characteristics of skills has control effects on the trace from core competence to price advantage. Conclusions - For small and medium sized firms CEO characteristics is the most important factor influencing firm's prosperity. For manufacturing firms, whether CEO has the skill or special knowledge to run the firm is critical factor. The study results show that CEO's for manufacturing firms put importance on price and price advantage which seems to be familiar to them. However, the price advantage does not influential to financial and non-financial achievement. This result suggests that small and medium sized manufacturing firms' CEO's should make effort to improve other aspects of advantages to be more competitive.

Survey was conducted for employees in IT ventures, which was used to analyze 412 additional. The results are as follows. Has had a significant impact on organizational effectiveness is the relationship between entrepreneurship and dynamic capabilities. In particular, this shows that a high impact on the organizational effectiveness of the organization's dynamic capabilities are assimilation exploitation capabilities, not the absorptive transformation capability of dynamic capabilities. CEO should actively consider whether the employees of the organization are developing the assimilation exploitation capabilities to make an impact on their organization's effectiveness.
