Since most of companies these days are utilizing the Information system actively, Information System is the most important factor which should be recovered in terms of Business Continuity. However, a lot of enterprises have been outsourcing their Disaster Recovery Center. Therefore, it is highly possible that the information system can not work well and result in the discontinuity of business when any trouble arises because of seperated plan of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. The study draws critical success factors for successful disaster recovery through researches of 42 documents. Then, factors are reviewed through interviews with consultants, experts of Business Continuity Plan and the information system officers of domestic banks. Domestic companies can make use of the study when they develop or renew Disaster Recovery Plan or Information System in terms of Business continuity.

Purpose This study aims to investigate factors that positively influence the continuous Artificial Intelligence(AI) Learning Continuity of business major students. Design/methodology/approach To evaluate the impact of AI education, a survey was conducted among 119 business-related majors who completed a software/AI course. Frequency analysis was employed to examine the general characteristics of the sample. Furthermore, factor analysis using Varimax rotation was conducted to validate the derived variables from the survey items, and Cronbach's α coefficient was used to measure the reliability of the variables. Findings Positive correlations were observed between business major students' AI Learning Continuity and their AI Interest, AI Awareness, and Data Analysis Capability related to their majors. Additionally, the study identified that AI Project Awareness and AI Literacy Capability play pivotal roles as mediators in fostering AI Learning Continuity. Students who acquired problem-solving skills and related technologies through AI Projects Awareness showed increased motivation for AI Learning Continuity. Lastly, AI Self-Efficacy significantly influences students' AI Learning Continuity.

Payment Systems is one of critical infrastructures, which is increasingly dependent on IT. Failure to provide the payment services can bring disaster to national economy, which is the reason why business continuity of payment system receive much attention these days. Payment Systems are complex systems, which consist of multiple players: central bank, commercial banks, clearing house. The main purpose of this paper is to propose some business continuity strategies for the payment systems. First, in order to provide financial stability, this paper clarifies the concepts of business continuity plan(BCP). Second, this paper illustrates the processes to come up with business continuity strategies for the payment systems based on risk analysis and business impact analysis. Business continuity strategies are proposed in terms of two dimensions: vertical and horizontal.

Purpose: This paper explores the nuanced approaches undertaken by private companies in formulating and implementing business continuity plans (BCPs) in response to the unprecedented challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Research design, data, and methodology: Utilizing a mixed-methods research design, the study delves into the multifaceted strategies employed by private sector entities, ranging from risk assessment and remote work policies to supply chain diversification and employee well-being initiatives. Result: The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of business continuity planning during a pandemic, offering valuable insights for academia, industry practitioners, and policymakers. The research findings present a detailed account of how private companies have tailored their business continuity plans in response to the unique challenges posed by the pandemic. Conclusion: This academic exploration sheds light on the dynamic landscape of business continuity planning in private companies responding to the global pandemic. Insights into the effectiveness of remote work policies, supply chain diversification, employee safety measures, and financial strategies contribute to the understanding of best practices and areas requiring further attention. These recommendations aim to inform future business continuity planning efforts, enhance organizational resilience, and mitigate the impact of global health crises on private sector operations.

Since information systems are pervasive in the business and non-business areas, the issue of extending researches on information systems to knowledge systems and e-business systems is one of the most profitable topics of researches. We propose a historical, discontinuous changes introducing ambiguity in explaining and interpreting innovative nature of three paradigms of systems: information systems, knowledge systems, and e-business systems. Resorting to the historical perspective in developing ideas into meaningful themes, we proposed a discrete continuity in interpreting changes of paradigms of systems. Discrete continuity may be explained by ambiguously-shared meaningful perspectives applied to different paradigms of systems and interpretive elements of each system. The discrete continuity has been adopted to make ambiguity utilized have instrumental contribution in researches. The engrafted ambiguity in systems design, development, and use could have enduring instrumental value in interpreting the types or variants of systems in each paradigm of systems.

Compared to other business discipline, business continuity is relatively new. In this post 9/11 era, we still do not have a meaningful tool to objectively and consistently measure the organization's disaster-readiness. The purpose of this study is to introduce various processes included in the business continuity management (BCM) and introduce the business continuity program maturity model(BCMM). The BCMM can serve two purposes: First, it provides a diagnostic tool for objective evaluation of BCM effectiveness. Second, it can suggest ways of improvement for the business continuity program by generating data from which meaningful benchmark analyses could be drawn.

Growing threats from environments and natural disasters cause information systems to suspend the operation of business. This study analyzed the current operational status, business continuity, and business continuity strategies of 11 Soho fashion shopping malls through a longitudinal case study (2019/2020 and 2022/2023). The aim was to determine how Soho fashion shopping malls are continuing their business having been successfully established in the fiercely competitive current online fashion market. Regarding changes in shopping mall operation status, all cases displayed changes in items, distribution channels, marketing channels, core values, and profit structures. After establishing the businesses, a crisis arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to difficulties in creating new customers. Moreover, there was excessive business expansion, resulting in saturation of the online platform store market. This meant companies were experiencing reduced sales (5) or difficulties in maintaining their business (3). However, there were differences in the direction of overcoming the crisis and continuing or converting the business. These revealed that to continue the business after successful establishment of an online fashion shopping mall, it is essential to have the expertise of entrepreneurs, work performance, and marketing ability, as well as differentiation capabilities such as product power and management strategy and core competitiveness that provides a relative advantage over other shopping malls. Customized government support at the level of the start-up ecosystem is also essential for the survival and business continuity of a SOHO online fashion shopping mall with poor human and material resources.

In this study, the theoretical review was carried out on the concepts regarding the continuity of operation plan and business continuity management plan, international standard ISO22301 and common required functions for disaster response, and the business continuity guideline of local governments in Japan and establishment cases were analyzed to draw matters to be reflected for establishing the business continuity plan of local governments according to the occurrence of earthquake and tsunami. In conclusion, the standard guideline of central government should be prepared for establishing the business continuity plan of local governments and the foundation to establish the plan smoothly based on such guideline should be provided. Also, the business continuity plan should be prepared based on the previous established safety management plans by reflecting the regional characteristics of local governments. And, in order to establish the business continuity plan that fits the region, proper investigations can be carried out to examine the characteristics of each organizations, resources, facilities and environments. Lastly, detailed scenario on the scale of earthquake and tsunami occurrence and damages is prepared to establish the business continuity plan of local governments and conditions for prompt countermeasures according to the scale.
