The Effects of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction in Case of Dissatisfied Customers

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of service quality on customer satisfaction in education service industry, focusing on the opinion of dissatisfied customers who have decided to switch the service provider. Additionally, in professional service industries such as law, hospital, and education, customers expect visible results which are often ignored in earlier service quality studies. Customer's comprehensive assessment of the professional service depends on both process quality experienced during service delivery and service result perceived after service delivery. The hypotheses on the causal relationships among service quality, customer satisfaction, intention to switch service provider, and service performance were tested by using Structural Equation Model.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 들어 새로운 소프트웨어의 유통방식으로 이슈가 되고 있는 ASP/SaaS 산업현황과 비즈니스 모델의 개발전략에 대하여 기술한다. 먼저 ASP/SaaS 산업현황에서는 ASP의 진화개념으로서의 SaaS에 대하여 정의하고, ASP/SaaS 사업자와 이용자의 현황에 초점을 맞추어서 기술하기로 한다. 그리고 최신 IT 기술발전에 대응할 수 있는 ASP/SaaS 비즈니스 개발 전략을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 비즈니스 개발 전략은 ASP/SaaS 사업자들이 향후 비즈니스 시장에 새롭게 진출하거나 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 가이드라인으로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

서울대도시권 지식서비스산업의 입지적 특성과 관련 업종별 고용기회 예측 (Locational Characteristics of Knowledge Service Industry and Related Employment Opportunity Estimation in the Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • 본 연구는 경제전반의 저성장 기조에도 불구하고 성장세를 보이는 지식서비스산업의 입지적 특성과 하위 업종별 고용기회의 변화를 분석한다. 특히 우리나라 20-30대 청년층이 선호하는 전문직서비스업 중 고용분포가 높은 업종인 출판업, 정보서비스업, 교육서비스업을 중심으로 지난 10년간 입지분포의 공간적 특성을 파악하고 고용분포의 변화를 예측한다. 이를 위하여 수도권지역을 대상으로 지식서비스업과 하위 3개 업종별 입지계수(LQ)를 산출하고, LISA 분석을 통해 집중분포지역을 파악한다. 또한 지식서비스업과 하위 3개 업종별 입지분포에 영향을 미치는 사회경제적 요인을 파악하고, 마르코프 체인 모형(Markov Chain Model)의 확률과정을 적용하여 고용분포지역의 변화를 단기예측한다. 분석결과, 수도권의 일부 특정지역을 중심으로 집중분포를 보이고 있는 세 업종별 특성에 따라 분포에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 변수에 차이가 나타났고, 업종에 따라 지역별 고용분포의 재분산에도 공간적 차이가 나타날 것으로 추정되었다. 본 연구에서 살펴본 지식서비스업종은 청년층의 고용분포가 가장 높지만 동시에 인력부족도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이들 업종별 구인-구직과정의 마찰을 감소시키기 위한 노력이 필요할 것이며, 이는 청년실업 문제를 완화하는 데에도 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 이 논문은 해양플랜트에 필요한 인력, 화물 등을 지원, 보급, 운송하는 지원사업의 의의와 특징에 대해서 고찰하고, 현행법과 관련된 문제점을 식별하여 해운법에서 정하는 해상운송사업에 대한 개정을 통한 법의 공백을 최소화함과 동시에 해양플랜트 서비스산업 발전에 필요한 사항을 입법론적으로 제안하였다. 왜냐하면 해양플랜트 지원사업은 기존의 해운법에서 규정하고 있는 국내 외 해상화물 및 여객운송사업의 범위에 완벽하게 포함되지 못하고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 국내에서 해양플랜트 지원선박을 이용하여 해양플랜트에 인력, 화물 등을 지원, 보급, 운송하는 사업을 발전시키기 위해서는 기존의 법역( )의 범위내에서 관리할 수 있도록 해양플랜트 지원사업의 정의와 함께 해운법상의 개별 조항에 대한 명시적인 개정안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 그리고 이 논문은 향후 해양 플랜트 서비스산업 전체의 활성화하는데 필요한 정책적, 법제도적 분야에 대한 추가적인 연구의 진행하는데 선행되는 기초자료로서의 역할을 할 것으로 판단된다.

서비스산업의 경영자 보상차이와 회계정보의 신뢰성 (A CEO Pay Slice and the Reliability of Accounting Information on Service Industry)

  • Purpose - The present study examined the reliability of accounting information based on the pay slice (CPS) information of chief executive officers (CEOs) in the service industry. The difference in the size of CPS under the capitalist system can be used as an index to gauge the influence of top management. Research design, data, and methodology - In accordance with the amendment of the Financial Investment Services and Capital Market Act in 2013, the pay information of individual registered executives with annual salary of more than 500 million won has been disclosed. The sample of the current study is 232 companies listed on the Korea Exchange excluding financial services from 2013 to 2015, when the individual pay-slice information for registration officers was published in the business report in accordance with the revision of the Capital Market Act. The financial data required for this study were extracted from the FnGuide and the TS-2000. With the data, we tested the relationship between CPS and accounting information reliability through a linear regression analysis. Results - The first result showed that the relationship between the CPS and human resource in internal accounting control system in the service industry is significantly negative only with the accounting department personnel. This result implied that the CEO can negatively affect the retention of the accounting department in the firm. Second, both the CPS and quality of audit in the service industry are negatively related both to audit fees and to audit time. Nonetheless, the relationship between the number of the auditor and the CPS is insignificant. This result indicated that the CEO can negatively affect audit fees and audit time of external auditors. The results of the present study suggested that CPS information may have a negative impact on the reliability of accounting information. Conclusion - This study is the first study to examine the reliability of CPS and accounting information for the service industry in terms of human resources in internal accounting control system and audit quality. Therefore, the present study is expected to provide some useful information to economic decision-making of various external parties for service firms.

  • As the DT of micro businesses emerges as an important task, the government is also promoting support projects such as policy establishment and micro business education. This study aims to develop a new index (checklist) that can objectively measure the level of digital literacy required for DT in the tertiary industry, which accounts for the largest share of micro business owners. In this study, indicators were derived through review of existing studies and FGI, and the validity and reliability of Likert 5 were measured for decision makers in the tertiary industry. In the field of digital literacy for micro business owners, a total of 22 indicators were developed, largely composed of basic technology environment competency, information utilization competency, information dissemination and production capability, and mind recognition capability. This study has academic significance in that it can contribute to accurately understanding the digital capabilities of micro business owners by developing a digital literacy index for micro business owners, a specific group lacking in research.

Development and Policy of Proper Management Estimation of Domestic Service Industry in Comparison with OECD Countries for Advancement of Korean Service Industry

  • Purpose - Considering that the governments' official statistics on the optimum scale of the domestic service industry will be crucial in future, this study's results will be used as an important benchmark to develop and verify the parameters in the government's official statistics. Research design, data, and methodology - To identify the appropriate scale of Korea's service industry and its adequacy, I have determined them through estimation using a regression method involving panel data analysis on the panel data of 30 OECD countries. Results - The regression coefficient provided indications of being non-linear. This means that a U-shaped curve relationship exists-that is, the level of the economic growth leverage decreases along with the service industry's growth up to the level of 70.9% in terms of the Korean service industry's adequacy; it increases along with the service industry's growth at a level higher than 70.9%. Conclusions - While the current proportion of the size of the service industry among all industries in Korea stands at 50.7%, its proper proportion estimated by a regression analysis was 70.9%.

한식당 이용고객의 서비스품질 평가에 관한 연구 - 삼겹살 전문점을 중심으로 - (A Study of Evaluation for Service Quality of Korean Restaurant Customers - The Case of Pork-belly Specialty Restaurant-)

  • Customer needs in food service industry is not only demanding high quality product(food), but also high quality service. Therefore, how to provide high quality service based on customers expectation, and how to design the service systems by food service industry or restaurants are important task. This study is service quality of Korean restaurant customers, it aims analyzes factors influences service quality of food service industry based on the perception of pork-belly specialty restaurants customers. It is expected that there is significant difference according to gender concerning level of satisfaction in service quality of food service industry as a result of analyzing the level of satisfaction for frequency of eating out relatively to the purpose of eating out, and researching the level of satisfaction for service quality of food service industry after visiting the restaurant. Based on such results, solutions that can cope with social, cultural and economical environment of food service industry are suggested. Selection of food service business, samples, and purpose of eating out, which are limits of this study, needs to be studied continuously in the future after diversifying and segmentation.

고객 중심의 컨버전스 서비스 컨셉 개발 : 절차 체계 및 통신 컨버전스 서비스 사례 연구 (Development of Customer-Centered Convergence Service Concepts : A Systematic Framework and a Case Study in Telecommunications Industry)

  • Today, many companies realize that the effort to develop new products / services faster that customers want and continue to purchase is crucial for their survival. As the service sector is rapidly growing, one of the challenges faced by the service industries is the lack of effective methodologies for new service development. This paper proposes a systematic framework for developing new service concepts, with an emphasis on generating innovative, convergence-type service concepts from the customer‘s perspective. The framework consists of three phases-identification of customer needs (Phase I), extraction of new service opportunities (Phase II), and generation of new service concepts (Phase III). The proposed framework is demonstrated through a case study in the telecommunications industry. In the case study, a survey was conducted on ten customers to identify the latent customer needs; 61 new service opportunities were extracted; and 129 new service concepts were generated.

  • The game Industry has been a major leader in business world with its size and volume in terms of profit and culture contents, and ever increasing at the moment. Cloud Game has appeared as a new, combined game format, playable on smart TV and smart phone with its upgraded storage size and fast spreading N-screen. This research studies the present reality of the cloud industry by focusing on three categories which are device type, Platform, and game contents consequently in order to determine the future prospect of cloud games. First, the cloud game business will thrive as devices such as smart TV and smart phone are used widely. Second, the cloud game industry will have a new era when OS systems of Platform are united effectively. Third, the previous platform holders will have to face new challenges brought up by cloud games' service providers. Forth, the gamer, developer, and service provider need each other in order to widen the spectrum of business in cloud game industry.
