  • Service identification and composition is one of the key characteristics for a successful Service-Oriented Computing, being receiving a lot of attention from researchers in recent years. In the Service-Oriented Analysis, the identification of business services has to be preceded before application services are identified. Most approaches addressing the derivation of business services are based on heuristic methods and human experts. The manual identification of business services is highly expensive and ambiguous task, and it may result in the service design with bad quality because of errors and misconception. Although a few of approaches of automatic service identification are proposed, most of them are in focus on technical architectures and application services. In this paper, we propose a model on the automatic identification of business services by horizontal and vertical service alignment using Enterprise Architecture as an ontology. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed model of business services identification through a case study based on Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture.

  • This study applies the Delphi method to design services with convergence characteristics in the financial sector. In designing a service robot for practical deployment that can support and replace bank teller, the opinions and judgments of various expert groups were extracted and a consensus process was made through feedback. A total of six dimensions and thirty service elements were derived over three rounds. Coefficient of Variation and content validity were used to verify the suitability and reliability of the selected service elements. As a result, the essential service element of robots was interaction with customers, followed by basic and professional financial services. Based on these service factors, we proposed two types of service models. support mode to assist employees during business hours and alternative mode on behalf of employees outside business hours. It is hoped that this study will use the Delphi technique in the design of IT convergence services.

  • Product-Service Systems (PSS) has drawn significant attention since it can effectively address diverse values of consumers by integrating products and services. PSS has been defined as a system of products, services, supporting networks and infrastructure that is designed to satisfy customer needs and to generate values. Manufacturing companies can accomplish business innovation by devising new service elements and providing PSSs starting from their products. Such new efforts are called manufacturing servitization. With analysis of the company's business contexts, diverse strategies could be set for servitization. Services could be developed so that their product functions can be supported. On the other hand, new services could be devised to drive active emotional values of their customers in a broadly related manner with their products. In this way, different servitization strategies in service space could be employed. In this paper, the product-service integration spaces for comparison of product-service systems in manufacturing servitization is briefly sketched. Various issue spaces, termed dimensions, would be used including service space, customer space, value space and business model space. Diverse PSS cases, including well-known PSSs and brand new PSSs, will be classified and compared to demonstrate the product-service integration spaces.

  • The internet has become an important part of the many aspects of people's daily lives such as work, study, entertainment and in form of electronic commerce, shopping. Electronic commerce is growing rapidly in Kenya. There are many successful business-to-business, business-to-customer and customer-to-customer online shopping companies in Kenya. As a consequence, competition between vendors is intense and, therefore, mitigating the negative effects of high product uncertainty is necessary requirement as it remains a biggest hindrance for success of the online shopping. The purpose of this research is to investigate how online product description, third party product assurance, customer service and website design mitigate the negative impact of high product uncertainty. A questionnaire with 28 items is designed to collect data from online customers. Using multiple regression analysis, the relationship between dependent variable (product uncertainty) and independent variables such as product description, third party assurance, website design and customer service is tested. The result shows that all the independent variables are negatively correlated with dependent variable, which means that product description, third party assurance, website design and customer service can be used by online vendors to lessen the problem of product uncertainty in online markets.

  • In this paper, we proposed the next generation mobile convergence service business model creation methodology. In order to establish such a business model creation methodology framework, we first introduce the service model based on our previous research results on next generation mobile convergence services. The service model contains several components such as infrastructures, operations, and provision of services that are indispensible for providing the next generation mobile services. Finally, by adding service and value flows to the developed service model, we propose the next generation mobile services business model creation methodology. To achieve this objective, we first derive necessary components of business model including actors, their relationships, and roles. In addition, we propose service composition methodology for creating new mobile services and its corresponding business models.

  • Service blueprint is used to show the interaction between each service element at a glance and to understand the flow of the whole service centering on the customer at the stage of proposing a new service system. It was proposed in the 1980s before online business was developed. However, current services are changing in a way that provides various forms and channels, and the service blueprint seems to be not enough. To reflect this problem consciousness, we selected PSS among diversified service business models and propose a service blueprint type optimized for each business. After collecting 137 PSS cases to be used in the research, we made a business matrix and classified the cases and selected two representative cases to conduct two experiments. As a result, six types of service blueprint corresponding to the matrix could be derived: online service type, online remote support type, self rental type, online order type, traditional type, and offline support type. The validity of the proposed types of service blueprint was verified to confirm the suitability of those types.

  • Convergence service, which is a combination of various services, is becoming more important. Among the many examples of convergence service, this study aims to analyze telematics service. By dividing Telematics service into information services and entertainment services, it was empirically proved that the relationship between each dimensions of TAM (perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, purchase intention) and each service satisfaction, price, design factor. According to the result of structure equation model, service satisfaction and design factor have a significant effect on perceived ease of use, but not on perceived usefulness. It means that the perceived ease of use factor should be emphasized, because of service characteristics that are used during driving.

  • Since 80th, in the monetary markets due to the escalation of creditable promptness dealing of financial goods, Korea monetary business has been confronted with structual contradictions. The first like a men power reduction, inorder to meet and satisfying with cost reduction policy of the holding firms and secondly, escalation and expention of business networks or facilities inorder to meet and satis~'ing with customers continuously seeking for prompt, acurate, and helpfulness service nearly like one similar to a door to door service. Accordingly, the firms eventually poured mere sweaty money into procuring such devices for upgrading. On the contrary, however, regardless the escalation monetary expenditure may be, inorder to promote quality of the same devices are keen necessary because present days customer groups were tended to receives ample service almost like door to door service without moving too$$\mu$h apart from the immediate spot where they belongs tl or veryspot of where actually they spend instead of deep consideration of natures, quality or sttractiveness of service medias what they can received from. Under the present circumstance, the financial business firms, however, would highly suffering and receives pressures from imblalance natures ofincoming and out go of the business budget due to excessive inc1ease of managerial expences. For these reasons, therefor, in order to solves, compensates, improves, and developes most effective financial service for customers can use under most pleasant environment, the establishment of adequate standardization of such service devices based on the foregoing environmental circumstances. This analytical study, therefor, mainly aimed and emphasized based on pre- estimatimation of proper devlopment and use of the unattended servicing devices such as Cash Dispenser and Auto Teller Machine by generalization, automating. and innovation of design to meet compactness and door to door like convenient service for customers which can be achieved by performing constant comparative analysis and continual study toward development of such devices those of which produced by Five (5) major domestic producers around the country.

  • ebXML is the international technical framework specification that enables Internet-based B2B electronic business using XML, It was standardized by UN/CEFACT and OASIS on May 2001. Registry and Repository is the core of ebXML. It supports registry services which is composed of object management service and object query management service. The object management service manages the object's life cycle and the object query management service provides a mechanism to approach metadata of stored objects. Up to now, implementations of ebXML Registry object query management system don't support full functions of the specification completely. We implemented all the functions of ebXML Registry Service Specification vl.0. This system supports Browse & Drilldown Query, Filter Query, SQL Query, and Object Retrieval Query services. And it also supports Content-based Query service which is not specified in the ebXML RS specification. The Content-based Query service is a repository service which makes it possible In pose content based queries of repository items and which will be specified on the RS specification v2.0.
