Development of a Free School Year Program for Sustainable Fashion Education I -Focused on Status Analysis and Suggestion about the Program- (지속가능패션교육을 위한 자유학년제 프로그램 개발 (제1보) -프로그램 현황 분석 및 제안을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a free semester program using sustainable materials therefore improving the clothing & textiles section of the middle school textbook and the systematic and in-depth sustainable fashion education based on theme selection activity, as one of free semester system activities in the middle school. Our analysis on the programs, which was performed from 2018 to 2019, showed that the clothing & textiles programs were majorly focused making simple household items through basic needlework and knitting. The programs that related to the sustainable fashion education were environmental programs associated with other textbooks, or mainly included simple upcycling and were mainly operated as arts & physical education or club activities, rather than theme selection programs. According to results from a questionnaire survey on teachers incharge of the system, they had an intention of starting sustainable fashion education program or clothing & textiles section but failed due to low number of participants, practice cost, and time burden. Based on our analysis, this study proposed a 17-session based free semester program that includes the understanding of the sustainable fashions concept, classification of sustainable materials and systematic and stepwise practice in association with the middle school textbook clothing & textile section. The teaching materials developed in this study are expected to be incorporated in the program that helps students understand the right concept of sustainable fashions and respond to the pending environmental issue actively and systematically.

Analysis of Reward and Royalty Programs Affecting Customer Satisfaction and Recommendations in the Purchase Process in Luxury Goods (명품 구매과정에서 고객만족과 추천의향에 영향을 미치는 보상 및 로열티 프로그램의 분석 - 고급 수입차 매장을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzed what premium features significantly affect customer satisfaction and their recommendation, and what factors significantly affect product attributes. In the process, first, the loyalty program and the customer compensation program were studied to determine the impact of the customer satisfaction and recommendation. The study analyzed that quality and design of product properties had significant effects on all factors, but the brand was not significantly affected. Second, while superiority, differentiation and scarcity of luxury items are significant to customer satisfaction but superiority is only significant in relation to recommendation intention. Third, the preceding study shows that the customer compensation program has a significant impact on sales growth, but the study found that it was not for imported luxury car customers. Fourth, if the royalties program is low in awareness, it has been analyzed that the scarcity and customer satisfaction relationships among luxury goods have been adjusted. On the contrary, if there is a high level of awareness, it is analyzed that there is a control effect customer satisfaction and differentiation among luxury brands. In the conclusion, in order to satisfy customers at the import luxury car market, the differentiation of luxury goods by standard index must be strengthened and the brand must be strengthened among the attributes of the product. In addition, by raising awareness of the royalties program, the relationship between differentiation and customer satisfaction can be enhanced.

The Influence of the Relationship between Consumer and Tie-in Promotion on Loyalty: Focusing on the Difference between Target Customers and Non-target Customers of Tie-in Promotion

  • There has been recognition of the increasing importance of cooperation as an element of marketing strategy. Such cooperation is confined to four levels based on product development, sales promotion, pricing arrangements, and place (or distribution) mechanisms as the usual marketing 4Ps mixed (Varadarajan 1986). At present, however, little is known about the nature of tie-in promotion as a cooperative sales promotion comparing three other levels. The primary goal of this study is to examine the effect of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship on loyalty. The construct of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship is based on the previous research on consumer-brand relationship. In addition, this study divides the concept of loyalty into host brand loyalty and partner brand loyalty to reflect the characteristics of tie-in promotion including program in order to determine the effect of the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship on loyalty. The results showed that the three dimensions of the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship (i.e., commitment, intimacy, and interdependence) had significantly positive effect on program loyalty. The effect of program loyalty is significantly on both host and partner brand loyalty. This study empirically tested the relationships among consumer - tie-in promotion relationship, program loyalty, host brand loyalty, and partner brand loyalty, and then compared with the difference in the suggested model for the target customers and non-target customers. As a result, for target customers, intimacy and interdependence among dimensions of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship had significantly positive influence on program loyalty. In case of non-target customers, however, commitment and interdependence among dimensions of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship had significantly positive influence on program loyalty. Also, program loyalty had significantly positive impact on host brand loyalty and partner brand loyalty in both target and non-target customers. This study has significance in that it addresses the need to identify research and academic implications by analyzing the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship to determine the relationship between tie-in promotion and loyalty, which has not been clearly described by previous studies. Furthermore, this study builds a foundation for firms and managers actively using tie-in promotion to establish tie-in promotion strategies that can maximize loyalty for both host and partner brands from the consumers' point of view.

Ambidextrous Innovation in Mediating Entrepreneurial Creativity on Firm Performance and Competitive Advantage

  • A new business venture faces intense competition in a dynamic environment. To survive, new business ventures and established companies both need to generate creativity and significant new ventures to be highly competitive and have high levels of performance. In this study, we examined new business ventures that determined their competitiveness and performance generated from entrepreneurial creativity and mediated by ambidextrous innovation. This research used survey data collected from 143 Indonesian's new business shipping agencies, which was collected using an online survey and analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results showed that entrepreneurial creativity in new business ventures is positively associated with competitive advantage but not significant to create a competitive advantage. In contrast, entrepreneurial creativity is positively associated with firm performance. This result indicates that efforts to generate entrepreneurial creativity are not sufficient to create a competitive advantage despite having a significant influence on firm performance. However, entrepreneurial creativity is significantly and positively associated with firm performance and competitive advantage when mediated by ambidextrous innovation. The findings of this study suggest that the competitive advantage of a new business venture in facing intense competition in a dynamic environment condition can be overcome by generating strategic action in the form of entrepreneurial creativity and ambidextrous innovation.

  • Indonesia is currently intensifying its level of awareness of the importance of starting a business as an entrepreneur. How to respond to technological developments to help support the growth of a start-up entrepreneur. Usually before buying a product, customers always think of many factors that can influence their buying decisions in online shopping. The two factors that most influencing are, Discounts and Promotions, which can greatly determine people's purchase intention, before finally buying the product. The researcher begin research with the aim to understand whether these 2 factors are factors that really affect someone's buying interest before doing online shopping. For this study, information and data collected by the survey by using means of questionnaires. And it standard measurements using a 5-point Likert scale, and processed by IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program. In this study, it has been found that indeed these two factors, Discounts and Promotions, are both influential in encouraging someone's purchase intention in conducting online shopping transactions. We found that both factors are significant and influence each other. The results of this study expected to help broaden the horizons of buyers and sellers about the benefits of discounts and promotions in online shopping.

  • Recently, it is very important to create economic value as well as develop core algorithms and technologies in the field of R&D. Various R&D projects make an effort to do the technology commercialization of their results and, as part of efforts, many studies on business model(BM) are conducted to create economic benefits in using the developed technology. However, it is difficult to use the general business model methodologies, which are usually utilized for companies, to the government's research due to different processes and characteristics between them. And for the practical application of business models, it needs to systematize conceptual business models in technical perspective through technical architecture analysis. In this study, a business model development process and a technical architecture analysis for national R&D project is developed for the technology commercialization. In addition, the process is applied to Korean Land Spatialization Program (KLSP) organized by Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs to verify the feasibility of its practical application.

Relationship of Professional Identity, Emotional Labor and Depression in Beauty Business Workers (미용업 관련 종사자의 직업 정체성, 정서노동 및 우울의 상관관계)

  • This study was conducted as descriptive research to examine the relations among beauty business workers' professional identity, emotional labor and depression, to analyze factors that influence their depression, and to provide basic information necessary to develop interventions for beauty business workers' depression. The subjects of this study were 158 beauty business workers sampled from 25 beauty shops in Seoul. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire during the period from April 12 to May 13, 2011. From the collected data were obtained real numbers, percentages, and the means and standard deviations of professional identity, emotional labor and depression using the SPSS 16.0 Program. In addition, multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the correlations among the variables and to identify factors influencing the beauty business workers' depression. In the results of multiple regression analysis on factors that influence the subjects' depression, factors found to explain their depression were autonomy among the sub factors of professional identity, and the diversity of emotional expressions and surface acting among the sub factors of emotional labor, and these factors explained 23.6% of their depression. The subjects' professional identity was in a positive correlation with the frequency of emotional expressions and deep acting among the sub factors of emotional labor, and in a negative correlation with surface acting and depression. The Frequency of emotional expression and the diversity of emotional expressions which the sub factors of emotional labor were in a negative correlation with depression and in a positive correlation with surface acting and depression. In order to relieve beauty business workers from their depression based on these results, there should be education or programs for establishing beauty business workers' professional identity and program for increasing of emotional expressions and decreasing of surface acting.

A Study on the Comparison of Satisfaction among Culinary Students Based on the Differences in Perception of OJT Program (조리 현장 실습 프로그램의 인식 차이에 따른 집단간 만족도 비교)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine culinary students' perception of the quality of an OJT(on the job training) program and to investigate their satisfaction levels clustered by the differences in it. Through the survey, the data were obtained from 348 culinary students who had experiences of an OJT program. They were analyzed by SPSS 13.0 and divided into four groups based on the differences of perception. As a result, this study showed that the more the students had a positive perception of OJT program, the more they were satisfied with the program. Therefore, this study will be of great use to seek for alternatives for the promotion of OJT program in the future.

  • In 2013, the small retailer organized support service, which commenced in 2009, has been expanding its place in the policy by transforming into a small retailer cooperating support service. This support service supports two main sides. One of them is strengthening the financial aspects of the scale by organizing the small retailers in order to make the distribution efficient. The second is improving the management and enhancing the efficiency through visitation education. This research focuses on studying the effects of the visitation education which is one of the two aspects of small retailers support service. Empirical analysis on the effects of the visitation education's quality on the loyalty of support service and business performance was performed in detail by dividing the structure of the companies into chain form and combined form of small retailers. According to the results of the analysis, the visitation education's quality positively affected the support service's loyalty without any restrictions on the structures of the retailers. However in the business performances, the visitation education's quality only showed positive effects on the combined form of small retailers. Therefore, it is implied that in order to continuously receive support program by increasing the loyalty of the retailers, the quality of the visitation education must be increased and the retailer support service need to be considering the structure of the companies in order to improve small retailer's business performance.

  • Due to the fast development of information technology, a variety of edutainment software has been used in the field of business education. One of them is Business Simulation Game that the business game domain and the information technology is definitely associated. A lot of business simulation game have been developed and used for many courses of colleges and corporate training in USA and EU. However, education program based on business simulation game has not been activated in Korea. This paper introduce a business simulation game developed by joint effort of business professors and a software firm for last three years and suggest the method of business education using this business simulation game. First of all, the development process, architecture and procedure of business simulation game are summarized. From a perspective of business education, the effect and advantage of business simulation game, sample syllabus, course outlines, users, missions and evaluation method are also addressed.
